Masterpiece work on the neck!
Thank you mate! I'm always trying to improve to achieve perfection. Maybe one day I'll get there :)
This isnt a modding video. Its 25 minutes of you refretting, and 5 drilling a few new holes.
Isn't refretting a part of modding? I also added new scratchplate with new pickups and wiring. Changed the nut. Changed the tuners. Re radiused the board from 9.5 to 12". Changed the bridge.
If this isn't modding, I'm doing something wrong 🤦♂️
@@bobsguitarmods you didnt show any of ir, or even play the guitar when you were done.
@@tussk. Thought wiring would be boring to watch, literally took 10 mins to wire. I'll be sure to include everything next time.
I'm thinking of making a demo video of it, possibly a short.
@@bobsguitarmods you thought 10 minutes of wiring would be boring, but not 25 minutes of sanding? the wiring is what the modding process is really about.
I disagree, there is much more involvement in levelling and radiusing a board than soldering a few wires. But I'll be sure to include it next time 🤷🏻♂️
I'll also cut out a lot of the sanding, I think you may be right. Just wanted people to see that it does take time.
Superb job. My dream setup, H-H, single knob, hardtail. Wish it could have 22nd fret installed
Me too, maybe in the future I'll build one with 22 frets but I'll paint it a different colour ;)
Great work man, would have loved to see the final finished guitar, the video ended a tad abruptly.
I'll make a short soon, so you can see it all properly :)
A short of it is now up!

Lovely to see such beautifully detailed fretboard work (particularly with a 12" radius) Excellent!!
Thank you so much for the compliment!
I can relate to all the hard work you did. I just did pretty much the same thing to my Sqiure affinity, I scalloped the Fretboard on mine which took forever lol.. I tried to put a 2 post trem in it but it wouldn't take the posts since the body is a lot thinner than a real Strat. So I had to plug the holes up and stick with the trem that came with it. other than that it turned out great. like having a new guitar.. I'll say one thing about the squires, it's the neck, for some reason it feels so good in the hand and you wouldn't think so on a cheap guitar.. Yours turned out great.. Nice Job..
Thank you for the kind words!
It's crazy how good squiers are, especially when you mod them to your specs.
Thanks for the vid man! Great job on the guitar. Looks like Charvel now 😅
Excellent 👍👍🤘
Thank you mate!
Nice job dude!
Thank you very much!
Started well but struggled with the mechanics. No grounding under the bridge? What poor electricity?
I went back off video to ground the bridge haha.
Say what you will.... I really enjoyed this video! The background music is cool too. Good work! And I subscribed 5 minutes in.😎👍
Thanks for the support!
Nicely done!
Thank you!
NEW SHORT OUT NOW
LITTLE TEST OF THIS SQUIER !!
Why don't you measure the old frets and cut the new ones and sand the ends before you put them in and tune them up after to make them perfect
This is just the preferred way I like to do it, usually when a guitar has binding then I cut the frets to size and nip the tangs.
good work man, what did you use on your dremel to polish the frets?
Thanks! It's a felt wheel. The polish is autosol metal polish.
what is the polish called that you use to polish the frets with.
Autosol Metal Polish :)
Great video, ok. But where’s the sound test?
Coming soon. I had an accident with a knife and stabbed my left thumb so I can't play for a minimum of 1 week :(
@@bobsguitarmods oh, that's terrible. I hope you get well soon. Your mod is awesome. I can't wait to hear.
@@JaysonSantos Thank you mate! I'll do the video short as soon as I can :)
Agora toca!
Soon I will make a short of playing this guitar.
Is this indian laurel on fretboard?
Yup it is.
hi! why dont you use a bench?
I dont have one :( I dont have space for a bench :(
Cool! Affinity strat indonesia it's better vs bullet strat?
I think they both feel pretty similar. Maybe the affinity gets more attention to detail, but I've had both and they're not that different to eachother.
Why just buying a guitar that not to change any parts.
This is to show you can buy a cheap guitar, modify it and it will be as good as an expensive guitar.
Wasting of time 👎 not informative video at all
That's because this wasn't a tutorial on how to do things. This is a video of me doing these things.
Feel free to let me know what type of tutorial you'd like to see in the future, I'll be sure to include lots of information.
I agree I'm happy that I skipped through it without waste more than a couple of minutes.
Doesn't have a final looks and doesn't even have a sound test.Totally waste of time
Check my shorts for the final looks and test. Completely forgot to add it in this video! Sorry !
does it djent?
With some thicker strings and in drop A, it sure could ;)
Shite.
What shread. ???????????????????
Shread?
too bad you didn't play it...
Check my RUclips shorts, I play it there.
