My rescue was lazy like that too, but it’s because she was raised in a very small environment and she didn’t have enough room to run and play so her muscles were really weak. She would tire really quickly but then still want to play and run around later on. What worked for me, as rough as it can be, was to take her on multiple small walks, once or twice around the block, two or three times a day. Then slowly I started to lengthen the walks and shorten the amount of times I took her out. I had to take her to the vet a few times because she got tired so fast that I thought she had something seriously wrong with her. She just had really weak muscles so she’d get tired fast, she still is trying to build that muscle back up to a normal amount for her breed/size.

Glad mom & dad are back. Just wanted to say I can relate to the whole animals being a comfort and necessity thing. My husband is currently deployed and my german shepherd babies are the glue to my life right now. I dont go out much or have a lot of friends. On days when im down ill binge watch the podcasts and play with my pups, it really keeps me going. Much love.

I LOVE hearing about your dogs sooo much. I’m away at college with 4 dogs at home that I can’t bring with me because my roommate is allergic. Seeing your dogs and hearing about them gives me a little bit of my dog fix and makes me feel better when I’m stressed. Y’all are also amazing and entertaining and wonderful poorly and I love all of your content!!!
I relate so much to the conversation about fancy resorts/cruises. I’ll make the effort to dress up maybe once or twice on vacation, other than that, nope!
Plus I feel like so many people miss out on actually seeing the country/city they are in because of the all included resorts. Even the outings you can book via them are super controlled as to what you see and who you interact with. In the end, you never really experienced the REAL local scenery, customs and people. Don’t be afraid to go rogue! Rent a car, go explore. It’ll be all fine.
