  • Join me as I share how I plow my long driveway with the Honda Rancher. As the temperature warmed up to 36-38 degrees F, the foot of snow may have settled to 10 inches.
Either way, the snow was wet and very heavy and this driveway takes a LONG time!

I wish my 2002 Rancher had heated hand grips. I have thought about seeing what the aftermarket is for heated grips but I dont know, just another thing to wire up onto it and the battery location sucks so much on it

I'm not sure if you are able to add them factory for that year. Mine were the grips and the accessory plug. These heat the thumb and the grip. I'm not sure I notice my thumb getting hot, but I don't notice it getting cold. The grips at certain settings and Temps actually start to feel hot, hot enough I have to stop and immediately turn them down a level.
Try Honda parts or maybe a local Honda or motorcycle/ atv shop might be comfortable installing grips if you aren't. Good luck!

Can you share what options are on your machine? Automatic transmission, Electric shift, 2x4 4x4 option, motor size, etc.

Hi this is the 24 Honda rancher 420. Semi auto foot shift, 4x4. It is the solid rear axle if your comparing machines, not the rear independent suspension.
The plow is kfi, warn 2500 winch and currently using the kfi synthetic plow strap. The grips are the honda heated grips, they are really great to have.

@@Jamie_Outdoor I have 3 of the 2004 -2007 Honda Rancher 400 AT with optional 2 wheel / 4 wheel auto or manual electric shift on the handlebar machines. Awesome machines and have been very low maintenance. I wish Honda still built these machines.
