I'm 68 year old guy, and I know nothing about trucking, but I have to admire and rejoice to see such a wonderful upbeat young woman like you enjoying your work, and encouraging others to look at the bright side of life, no matter what their occupation. It is so refreshing to see that you are trying your best to advance your career and explore all the possibilities it offers. This video was especially creative, with the views of Yellowstone. Keep up the great work, be safe, happy motoring, and best regards to you always!!
Learjet pilot here. I always get to adventure around when I am waiting for passengers! I like your style! Always wondered about driving trucks.... super interesting.
Show more scenery as you're driving going down the highway , the scenery adds a lot to the video and something else that helps a lot are those lovable conversations you have with Dakota .
You have a great attitude about focusing on the positive moments and not letting the negative things bother you. That is very refreshing, and it is another reason why I like watching you so much.
My only other FedEX trip was with Tom Hanks in "Cast Away". Think I'm much happier riding shotgun with you, dear lady! Thanks for being so generous by sharing your life and work with us! God bless and keep you always happy and safe out there!!
You are a "gem" and your smile just lights up the day. Can't wait for the "behind the scenes" of the Operations Center. I'm sure it will be interesting and exciting. Until next time be safe.
Geesh...the camera hasn't found a bad angle...I loved the way your Freckles were showed off when you were stopping for tea....solid 10 with an 11 character 🙂
A bad day in trucking means you framed the question of what constitutes a good day. A good day for me is simply, I survived, I learned, I grew. It gets better when I can help someone else achieve the same. You’re doing great!
What a champ you are, young lady !!! Not too many guys would handle two long stressful days as good as you did, and came home smiling! just do us all a favor, take care of those fingers of yours.
Born in Logan, UT...Raised in Boise...moved to Texas in my high school years...My family has been in trucking since 1930's and finally got my license 4 years ago and love my new release in life...Anyway been through your favorite run through Yellowstone couple times and do my 30 minute on the pull outs too...Y'all do great vids when I have time to see them...Im a active hiker and cyclist too on my trucking runs...Keep the good vids up!👍
Hi Shelby! Big gloves hack, slide to the tips of your fingers, then use a zip tie yo LIGHTLY snug them up around the base of your hand, when through working, just snip it.
One reason I really enjoy your videos and some from other drivers is that it helps me to still feel connected to the lifestyle I loved, I have a friend that is an old school driver like me and I asked him if I would be considered a rookie and drivers blew up my comment basically telling me hell no you would not be a rookie just an old driver that answered the call again, I was told the Truck Driver was a title you earned and anything you earn is yours for life so I still refer to my self as a truck driver that retired to be around for my daughter more, that is when I started driving line-haul for Old Dominion out of the Birmingham, Al terminal
As a fellow trucker, I'm scratching my head as to why I would prefer to hear you talk about your usual day when it appears to be much like my own... like how you can marvel at a cup of tea or coffee... makes me giggle. I started trucking because of the same reasons you did-- see America, remain independent. I believe a majority of truckers enjoy that aspect.
This is a good thing and 100% correct. Not all about the money .. At the time of rest, it is great to explore wonderful things, including the picturesque areas or views so that the driver does not get bored of the road and also from that gain experience in coordinating his schedule .. Your videos are wonderful and I wish you all good luck and health Go on #HappinessByTheMile
The scenery on the west side is so nice compared to the East in my opinion, I usually run east coast and it’s so boring. I’m excited for the winter weather!! 🥶🥶
Always love the scenery i get to see when you roll down the road Shelby. Always nice to know your happy and well too and things are going well for you, finger injuries aside.
I aware of the issues/hazards that they taught us at school, always be happy that you have your health Shelby and things didn't get any worse than it already is. I always love the fast forward driving sequence. This video came out fast.
I always wanted to be a truck driver but couldn't make it. I compensate that by watching these videos. In this I liked about experiences you mentioned. Really nice
I hope Fedup doesn’t get itself in a twist, you rep them so positively over all. I hope you get some drive time as well as office work. I always enjoy the driving shots and the cool music you choose. Give Dakota an ear scratch from me and keep the rubber side down.
Hi Shelby this is Frankie I am so so sorry that you hurt your finger I hope you get well pretty soon I know that get hurt like crazy I used to be an auto mechanic and I smashed my fingers a lot of times so anyways see you later bye
the best "feel" i've had for Yellowstone. seen loads of stuff before about the area, but your little vid just , makes you "pine for the fiords"....older folk might get the referance.
I'm a FedEx Freight driver out of Billings, MT. The place you stopped at in Columbus is often where I take my 30 as well, it's a nice little truck stop. Maybe we'll run into each other one day!
I retired from Reddaway Truck line after 29 yrs. Hooked hundreds of sets of doubles and triples. Yep, the hands do take a beating! Todd the retired trucker.
Awe. You leave your partner home. Poor Dakota. Glad you Addressed what your doing. I was wondering. But we all have to decide what we want in life. Yea. You need good gloves. Well somebody waiting for you at home. Stay safe Shelby. Yea wild fires bad. Oregon. California. Bad. Air quality way down.
I'm not even involved in the trucking industry, or from the USA, and yet here I am, binge watching this entire channel. the internet is a strange place
Yes, we are confused. But how's you puppy? Operations Manager. Cool, off the road. Wondering if you miss it. Yes those double hook ups are a tough job. Ouch...
Hello I am from Argentina I don't speak English, but I use the google translate, to understand some comments.- I was browsing your page, what you want is very interesting and beautiful. I hope we could all take that big step, and get out of our comfort zone, leave the fears and what they say and do what one really feels and wants to do with her life. I congratulate you on your lifestyle and I hope you have found happiness in what you do. precede me yes, Good luck and keep going Greetings from Argentina
Shelby, Staying with Fedex is a smart move, I pulled for FDX as well, can relate to the finger thingy. Great video as always. Everyday is an adventure in trucking.
Can't be just me who missed Dakota? Love your enthusiasm for your trucking life...and yes, we should all get out a bit more (Covid19/social distancing/natural disasters not withstanding)
Great video Shelby. You're attitude is a gift and needed in this world. I bet F-Ex has NO problem with you mentioning them. Good luck and stay safe out there.
I was a FX delivery van contractor back in the early nineties. The pay SUCKED!! Hopefully it is better now, but I was happy to leave after five disappointing years. I really enjoy your videos though!
So I was at Yellowstone last week and I didn’t even know it. Which was funny because after I got loaded in Oregon I had a little conversation about the places I went to and he advised that I visit Yellowstone and was like “maybe one day” and apparently I was there (it was peaceful). I was at that river too, that might’ve been the spot I parked at .
Machines break, not everyone is on the same page as you and life isn't a straight line. The difference between a good day and a bad day is your ability to deal with it. Surmounting difficulty often gives you a much better feeling about yourself and the world than drifting along. You are capable and skilled, so if you have your health, minus a sore finger, life's good!
Fab content & Dakota is delightful too. 🚛🐕🙂 To save your hands you might try out either tactical or motorcycle gloves as you keep the dexterity with the armouring plus some allow you still to operate a touchscreen. 🐼🐕
You are so intelligent, pretty and have such a nice personality and demeanor. Wishing you every success in these challenging times. With all the hubs that Amazon wants to start up it should bode well for you.
I love these videos! I have been watching these because I'm about to be a dispatcher because I couldn't be a trucker and want to understand what a trucker goes through.
I look forward to your videos. The behind the scenes of the trucking world combined with the fantastic editing make these a much watch channel. Keep it up!
I've been watching your show for about a year and a half. What an inspiration. Can you tell me if you receive your training at a trucking school or mega carrier? The backing seems the most difficult
I ran into one of your vids quite by accident. I didn't even know that women truck drivers existed, not as young as yourself anyway. Since then I have come across videos by other young cuties, who say they are truck drivers, but I have subscribed to your channel. Why? You have an honest face, such a rare trait these days
My buddy just seen you on I-10 in Texas stuck in a backup due to an accident. You stopped next to him for a few seconds then your lane started moving. He got behind you and noticed none of your brake lights were working. that was about 4:30 central time. He was in a car hauler hauling Tundras and Tacoma’s pickups
My favorite drink is a Dirty Vanilla Chai tea latte. It's just the chai tea with a shot of espresso. (I get two shots depending on the size) and it tastes like a toasted marshmallow lol fall in a cup as I call it. I love it!
Miss Shelby, i love all your videos & how i love to hear you talk on them, just the way you talk i feel lucky to know what you talk about regarding being a trucker.. Thank you,...
I bought a lawn chair a while back. I loved to sit outside my truck and read.
Love the smelll of urine in the afternoon sun.
@@M4CB its better than smelling these drivers trucks, nasty ass lol. Dirty trucks
@@M4CB that's why you gotta find the off the books parking
Do you get mistaken for a lot lizard??
If I was in charge at FX, I would hire you to be the ultimate Representative. Your Smile is the best advertising!! The scenery is also great!
the smile on your face puts a smile on my face

You have a beautiful spirit!
You are also so right about stopping and seeing where you are!
Love it!
The Shelby giggle the essence of joy
yeah it's funny when she giggles lol
Learjet pilot here. I always get to adventure around when I am waiting for passengers! I like your style! Always wondered about driving trucks.... super interesting.
She could fly I think I flew vipers
Show more scenery as you're driving going down the highway , the scenery adds a lot to the video and something else that helps a lot are those lovable conversations you have with Dakota .
Think it has to do with what she said in the start, that it was a tight run and she had to do it quick. This isn't her typical trucking vlog
I love your positivity!! Thank you for the ride!!!
Without positivity your life would suck! :)
Shelby, your videos are great. Stay safe out there - we appreciate what you do...
You have a great attitude about focusing on the positive moments and not letting the negative things bother you. That is very refreshing, and it is another reason why I like watching you so much.
Beautiful Lady keep it up. You always seem to make the best out of bad. Stay safe and thank you
My only other FedEX trip was with Tom Hanks in "Cast Away". Think I'm much happier riding shotgun with you, dear lady! Thanks for being so generous by sharing your life and work with us! God bless and keep you always happy and safe out there!!
Just the fact an old contractor called you to help him, tells me how much respect he has for you & your skills.

You are a "gem" and your smile just lights up the day. Can't wait for the "behind the scenes" of the Operations Center. I'm sure it will be interesting and exciting. Until next time be safe.
Wow-ADVENTURES!! You made the best of the situations.
Always a pleasure Shelby, thank you for bringing me along for the ride. God bless and drive safe.

I always look at the dislikes and scratch my head. Good work Shelby
What a champ you are, young lady !!! Not too many guys would handle two long stressful days as good as you did, and came home smiling! just do us all a favor, take care of those fingers of yours.
Taking the struggle with a positive attitude like you have, will make any problems dissolve smoothly
Shelby, thank you very much for your cheerfulness and your smile.

Hi Shelby! Big gloves hack, slide to the tips of your fingers, then use a zip tie yo LIGHTLY snug them up around the base of your hand, when through working, just snip it.
It would be good if we could see more scenes of you driving.
That statement about experience and what you're doing things for. . .so young, yet so wise. Props.

Thank you Shelby for Sharing all the great places you stop at . It’s great to hear from you again. Give Dakota a hug for me. See ya next time
I hope Fedup doesn’t get itself in a twist, you rep them so positively over all. I hope you get some drive time as well as office work. I always enjoy the driving shots and the cool music you choose. Give Dakota an ear scratch from me and keep the rubber side down.

So, becoming Operations Manager, does this mean less trucking/on-the-road videos?
God bless you Shelby keep spreading kindness and happiness.
I'm a FedEx Freight driver out of Billings, MT. The place you stopped at in Columbus is often where I take my 30 as well, it's a nice little truck stop. Maybe we'll run into each other one day!
