Iv had so many people ask me why I did a v3 build and did it the way I did it. I'm goin to show them this video from now on to explain why .. I did it for fun and as just a performance build for my local spots. Added bonus it's now my most beautiful build as well in green carbon. 💚 🍀
Great breakdown of the rig. I do wish you would remember who you got the links from for those axles. I have them and the 2 main companies that make links do kit currently have these links available. Both have said should be available shortly.. been waiting for over a month. Will you be making videos of running gates? Thanks Tim!
Yea I’ll will be making some gate running videos here shortly. And me too on the links. I think these were a cheap set I ordered awhile back and forgot about.
Ar45 straights? As in non portals? With the huge swing to portals I'm glad to see ppl making use of these kits. Price wise seems like a deal. To the top brother thanks for the vid
Any chance you’ll do a video on what makes a rig class 1, 2, 3 or cheater? Looking at building a V3 off an element and want to build a class 2 with this creep body. Coming back to RC’s after almost 30 years now that my daughter is interested.
Watched all the GSpeed or com class 1, 2, and 3 videos. You go over the cars, like many people do. But the specifics of having to run certain chassis, cover the tires with x amount of fender, full bumper, part bumper, no bumper. Servo on axle, vs side by side dual servo mounts vs lay down. I haven’t seen anyone do a video directly comparing the classes and if you want a class 1 rig you need to cover the tires 50%, have to have a chassis mounted servo, can only run 4.19” class 1 tires that have to be at least 50% covered by a fender and the car must have a full windshield. How long the chassis to body has to be. And what of those things you can change if you want a less restricted class 2 rig abs how much they can change and why you still may want to do certain things. Like why not run SOA for the better steering in class 2 if it’s allowed? See a lot of class 2 vehicle videos still running chassis mounted. One thing I still don’t really understand but get the general concept or idea of is the transfer cases. There’s just no videos out there that help people new to the sport know a guided what I can and can’t do in each class. It’d be even better to find out what class rigs you can build on each GSpeed chassis. Like why can the V1 be used in c1 but the V3 can be used in either c2 or c3? And finally, what upgrades are good to do to your rigs before you take that $100 plunge to the new chassis set up. Thanks for responding, just wish there was better resources for those that are starting out in this portion of the hobby. Was so much easier building out 17.5 stock spec buggies to figure out was legal or not. And what is worth taking the extra effort or money to do to a comp crawler starting out.
Ok I see what your saying. Yea I am planning to but I’m tryin to wait until the 22 SORRCA rules come out. Cuz I believe there are some key changes and better defined areas. And I touched a little on a few of those but just not in specific videos. But I’ll get some new video layouts goin.
@@TRDAdventures that would be awesome, thanks. Starting out and trying to make sure any upgrades we get will carry over to at least class 2 to start. If we get that far and build a class 2 rig out of this one, next will be a class 0 rig. Just hard to find out what parts are or aren’t. Nice that things like tires tell you when they’re class 1, etc. Too bad other parts don’t do that, like bodies!
@@andrewdecavia7553 yea lots of parts carry over between classes there are really specific of than some chassis rules. And bodies are wide open depending on size and cuts. Also rules can diff between local and sorrca.
Yea, I had the same problem, so what I’m working on doin is getting a note book, pick a topic, then make list of point you wanna hit and descriptions and make your way down, and it’s helped me kinda stay ok point.
Please enlighten me, these are called 'cheater' because of the way they are built. Does that mean they are not allowed to run on competitions? Or what?
Thanks for sharing very nice truck
It's my next project to do a lcg build for performance cool channel 🤓🙏
Great looking rig bro! Thanks for posting and sharing your knowledge of "Performance RC Crawlers"!
M.I.D.W.I.D!
Thank you for the support, I’m slowly getting better.
That’s a bad ass rig right there

sweet truck, you did a great job making a badass rig
Congrats on hitting 750 bro I'm ready to win my new chassis 👍😂🤣
I’m in love with mine an I haven’t even tested it yet lol it looks an feels so damn good man it’s unreal
Good job. Keep the videos coming.

Yup, that was my thought price is right and really nice for like a scratch build, may not be the beat shock but they will work.
I’ll be here buddy all the way to the too

Awesome RC
Nice vid ,what are you using for winch anchors. Thanks Tim
I have a couple basic shovel anchors and some treble hooks, I’m goin to try and make a couple
Badass build
Love it dude ! Thanks for video !
Great vid!!!!! Sweet rig!!!
nasty BUILD
Good info. What do you think about the ottsix klr x-4 tires ?
I’ve only used them a couple times, they are a good tire they take a long time to break in from what I’ve been told.
Ok. Thanks for the reply. Have fun crawling
@@TRDAdventures nice i just picked up a set with the x4 halo foams
My 1st set of klrs

Yea I do have some videos goin over each one and sucks. V3 element will make a great start to a c2 rig

What diff cover did you use for the AR45 straight axle ? I’m running them and was curious if the portal ones is the same
Treal and yea they are same
@@TRDAdventures right on
Hey man how did you get your big bores to slide that easy? Just built mine and they stick a lot
I’m using 40wt oil and losi mini t springs.
Where can I order that front bumper? Thank you.

Are you one of the FPV quad pilots?
Niceee car brader 😍
Did you ever have a problem with keeping your channel not age restrictioned
So far I’ve been ok, I’m honestly still figuring that stuff out. I just do my best to aim the focus and talk at an ‘adult’ level.
@@TRDAdventures okay the first video I tried talking about stuff RUclips keeps wanting it to be a kids video
Weird, I haven’t got anything yet, oh I guess I I do click the not made for kids my bad
@@TRDAdventures i click that to but RUclips says it should be made for kids so it switches it would me knowing till I look
@@customrccrawlerz8137 hmm that’s odd
Just wondering what the main difference is between the AR45 straight axles and the AR44 axles that come on the SCX10.2 kits?
The main difference is the offset front pumpkin on the ar45 vs ar44.
What’s a good way to start doing rc content on RUclips
I’m totally winging it right now lol
I just kinda started goin over my rigs and then what I know and feel comfortable talking about

Most likely not at a SORRCA comp. but local or others depending on body rules I’m sure. I know local we will run them
How long are those shocks, traxxas has like 1, 000 shocks lol if u can please help me
These are traxxas 2660, the are 85mm
😱😃🤩💥💯👍👏👏👏
Rig looks mean bro.
Great breakdown, just cant deal with constant lip smacking😂 unable to finish the video
Cool
Great rig thanks for sharing ew to crawling can I ask why you have a stronger rear spring rate but the rig is heavier at the front ? Thanks
To keep the rear from squatting when gin up obstacles and inclines, helps keep all 4 wheels planted
