    First things first appreciate the content and thank you for sharing all your knowledge. Have a quick question. I recently got some desert lizards how should I set them up if I want to run full droop to where it holds the body down

    Great informative video as always , I'm thinking about doing the same setup as this but wasn't sure how it would pan out using the stealth x transmission , I'm not a competitive crawler I just like to have fun & just started going to a local comp but still want to be able to trail my truck , any thoughts on the setup would be greatly appreciated

    You do a great job! Very helpful. One thing that has eluded me is where the heck do you find complete ar45 axel sets? I see the straight axel kit but no portals....can you help me please?

      Used or build them from scratch. I picked this set up local for a good price. The first ar45 build I did, I get a full 10.3 took the axles then parted the rest of it out

      @@TRDAdventures thanks. That's what I was thinking. So it's either the 10.3 builders kit or build em piece by piece. Thanks again!

    @TRD Adventures hey man was wondering if you could help me out?
    ive built a gspeed v3 on ar45 portals and for some odd reason i cant get my steering to go further left without my whole front supension lifting up. Turning right is no problem only when trying to set my end points i can get my right turn further then my left

    i like the boom racing ar 44's and the treal ar45's and vanquish ar45's but i still agree plastic axles with some bits are better performing....what are the ss60's? are those supershaftys ar60's?

    How did you navigate the change in wheel direction when going from straight axles to the portals?

    • @TRDAdventures
      @TRDAdventures  3 года назад +2

      Reverse motor direction with esc programming

    @TRD Adventures should my panhard bar be almost level with my servo rod. Im limited articulation one 1 side. Driver side has alot of articulation but passenger gets limited seems like panhard bar is holding it back

    New to Crawling here. Why Overdrive in Front AND Rear. Wont that make front and rear spin at the same speed?....I thought a class 2 rig usually has Overdrive at the front axle only.

    • @TRDAdventures
      @TRDAdventures  2 года назад

      I am gaining my overdrive from my transmission and the trans is geared low so I used overdrive in both axles to bring their wheel speed up.

    • @richardwatt911
      @richardwatt911 2 года назад +1

      My Bad. I shoulda payed more attention. DIFFERENT gearing in the front as opposed to the rear. Makes sense to me now.

    I recently purchased some Vanquish C F9 Portals, I feel like the classic Axial AR44 scx10ii axles with Hot Racing overdrive work better…Am I doing something wrong because I swear they out perform the Vanquish Portals??

      Some people prefer portals, some straight axle, both have their pros/cons

    Odd ball question...
    Does anyone know which Brass portal covers, work on the F10s?
    I haven't been able to find any F10 brass...

      There is an Italian company that makes them but I can’t remember the name.

      @@TRDAdventures Cool. If you do remember, please give me a heads up.
      Im building a Gspeed, V3, with the G-shot chassis kit.
      On F10s.
      With a basic Vanquish 3 gear trans.
      Just needs some weight, up front...

      Portal gears are different and pumpkin placement rather be center or offset

    I don't like the axial portals due to the weak points. The traxxas portals are almost bullet proof.

    • @TRDAdventures
      @TRDAdventures  3 года назад

      Trx4 are stronger I agree. But I do like the size and performance of the axial better

    • @zaxpage9003
      @zaxpage9003 3 года назад +1

      do they perform better due to the smaller size? im not sure of the axial gearing but i really like the over 7-1 gear reduction with the trx axles.

      @@zaxpage9003 yea less hang up and tighter turning. And being able to just quickly change out portal gears is super convenient
