Thank you for the video brother , because of this video you answered a few questions I was pondering & now I have a video I can show my wife as to what I'm trying to accomplish with my setup , again thank you for walking us through your build & showing us the magic that happens lol
I have went back and probably watched this video a dozen times for reference. My Power Wagon is my favorite but i have just picked up an Ecto and ordered all the Rock Pirate accessories for it so we'll see if the Axial stays on top.
I'm definitely picking up one of those servo mount been trying to figure out a solution for my winch on my scx10ii this will work perfectly... thanks man...
Nice rig sir. Thanks for the parts list and info on this build. Looking to do a budget LCG type rig but don’t want to drop serious coin just in case I don’t like it. Building the first one is a little nerve racking 😬. But sooner is better then later
I took a note from exocage rc. I use a limiting Bunji on the front of my gatekeeper in sted of the pen spring mod thing . It works awesome . All the articulation at a level you can adjust by bunji
Hey Logan. I’m sure you know this but if you flip them desert lizards you get a little lower center gravity. Did it on my rig and it helps. See ya next time my friend 😁💯💯🤙
Awesome custom rc truck, climbing footage on the rocks is very cool, amazing scenery to 'go for a rip' and professional, 'comp'rehensive presentation, thank you Sir👍
Hey Logan, nice build. Similar to what nI plan to do to my new-to-me SCX10 ii. Question...is that the stock axial frame rails in this build? the RP servo mount fit without issues?
wondering if you tried the rprc front shock towers and why you chose to keep front shocks vertical. did you try the angle and didnt like it? im building a 10ii with rprc stuff.
I bought a Vanquish Phoenix (portal) kit with the intention of turning it into a comp rig.. but then I think maybe a Capra would be better. Then I see yours and wonder some more. I think I need to learn to drive first, then figure out the rest.
I just bought me a Axial SCX10 clone it looks really good as my first 1/10 crawler ever I've had I have a 124th actual crawler but of my ESC that I have with it I got from another car burnt out so I have to spend $70 on a ESC and a receiver and transmitter cuz you know the one I have is a cheap ones so I kept should have expected it but I can't wait to get it fixed and see how good it does
I will do a search but do you have a video of you attaching the power wagon body? I just got a raw body . I need to paint and attach it as long as with a bed.
What setup are you running for the front shocks. I have lizards as well but your axel droops when you picked it up off the bench at the beginning of the video, mine doesn’t hardly at all, I have to physically pull my axel away from the truck and it immediately goes right back up when I let go. It stays hugged to the frame, “in lcg stance”
Hey bud. I'm building one of these now. I just haven't seen how guys are mounting the rear end of that power wagon cab. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the vids man
What’s your desert lizard shock set up? I know you say full droop but are you using a spring for full droop or not using a spring at all and just using a small spring for preload?
Awesome break down. Had a lot of luck with my desert lizard shocks but am always curious what other comp type setups are running. Care to divulge on damper hole count front and rear, wt, and springs used from the kit?
@@westdesertwheeler I'm intrigued as to what springs, unless suspension tune is top secret lol. If not interested is sharing those specifics I totally understand. Just looking for other setups to try on my rig
I'd like to see how the proline trencher tires work on your setups and in your terrain, I got a set a few months back and find there noticably more planted and predictable, at least on the Canadian west coast rocks compared to my set of PL flat irons.
Hi Logan, i have been following your Videos for quite a while and i love the way you comment and explain, especially in your driving Videos. I am wondering what shock oil you use and what Kind of springs you use for your droop setup? Greetings from germany, keep going with the channel and keep the Rubber side down 👍🏻😃
Any chance you can do a video building your desert lizards? I have a set coming and by far I’d value your expertise over what I’ve seen on RUclips
With the horn back further you also get a stronger straight pull. I would have done the same. Love that rig
Thank you for the video brother , because of this video you answered a few questions I was pondering & now I have a video I can show my wife as to what I'm trying to accomplish with my setup , again thank you for walking us through your build & showing us the magic that happens lol
Haha glad I could help! Thanks for wat
Watching

That's a nice setup Logan can't wait to see you running video
Thank you! I need to find a line to use the winch on!
I'm definitely picking up one of those servo mount been trying to figure out a solution for my winch on my scx10ii this will work perfectly... thanks man...
It’s a great product and fit is perfect
Nice rig sir. Thanks for the parts list and info on this build. Looking to do a budget LCG type rig but don’t want to drop serious coin just in case I don’t like it. Building the first one is a little nerve racking 😬. But sooner is better then later
Nice set up, that Rock pirates battery tray is nice! I also like the idea of using the Element transmission with the overdrive!
Yeah it worked out with the overdrive in the portals on my gatekeeper I didn’t need the added transmission overdrive
I took a note from exocage rc. I use a limiting Bunji on the front of my gatekeeper in sted of the pen spring mod thing . It works awesome . All the articulation at a level you can adjust by bunji
Thanks man! I’ve messed with bunji a bit. I started having belly clearance issues. So I ran this setup instead
Really like these videos helps me find trick parts! thanks for sharing! st george is the best place to crawl!!!!
Awesome build! I’m debating my next custom crawler build. I’m liking that chassis with the rear shock mounts. 💪🏼
Hey Logan. I’m sure you know this but if you flip them desert lizards you get a little lower center gravity. Did it on my rig and it helps.
See ya next time my friend 😁💯💯🤙
Thanks for the tip. I run them like this for clearance. Thanks.
It’s really nice place and LCG.
Awesome custom rc truck, climbing footage on the rocks is very cool, amazing scenery to 'go for a rip' and professional, 'comp'rehensive presentation, thank you Sir👍
I see what you did there, thank you!
Logan, thanks for the awesome video! Inspired me to build a similar truck. Thanks again for all the great content!
Hey Logan, nice build. Similar to what nI plan to do to my new-to-me SCX10 ii. Question...is that the stock axial frame rails in this build? the RP servo mount fit without issues?
very nice truck, looks great, and a great transmission for overdrive ,nice setup,!!
Great build! Crawls smooth bro🤘😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯✅‼️
Thank you! It does better than I thought it would
What model and size are the wheels and where did you purchase them from? Awesome build!
Do you know if the SCX10ii shock towers work on a SCX10? Cool build!
wondering if you tried the rprc front shock towers and why you chose to keep front shocks vertical. did you try the angle and didnt like it? im building a 10ii with rprc stuff.
Nice truck.... What kinda of front bumper is that ? Thanks

Awesome!! So the battery is a 2s lipo, and how many C?
Them wheels are sick brotha!

Nice build
Awesome rig . Fat n frompy. Great rebuild
Very nice, thank you!

Awesome build bro 👌
What size rims and tyres are you running and what brand and size of foams. Keep the content coming.👍🏻👍🏻
2.2” wheels. Stretched 1.9 tires 4.75 height with 4.5” front crawler innovations foams and 4.75 CI foams rear
@@westdesertwheeler Thanks for the info bud.
For a lcg build which do you prefer servo on axle or stationary
What’s your desert lizard shock set up? I know you say full droop but are you using a spring for full droop or not using a spring at all and just using a small spring for preload?
Nice👍🏼
🤘🏼
are those 2.2 wheels with 1.9 tires? whole build looks great man.
Yes, 2.2 wheel with 1.9 tires. Thanks!
Nice 👍
Awesome man.
What servo horn are you using and front shock towers ?
Awesome 🥰👍
Awesome break down. Had a lot of luck with my desert lizard shocks but am always curious what other comp type setups are running. Care to divulge on damper hole count front and rear, wt, and springs used from the kit?
I used springs different than the kit in the front. I’m pretty sure it’s 50w and no damper hole changes from stock
@@westdesertwheeler I'm intrigued as to what springs, unless suspension tune is top secret lol. If not interested is sharing those specifics I totally understand. Just looking for other setups to try on my rig
for the servo installation in the back, the axle used needs to be modified or just installed?
It’s a front axle, I had an extra and it bolted right in
Did you have to cut down the front plastic bumper piece to fit with the servo tray
Nope
Where can I buy one of those bodys?
Mate great vid.
Are they 90mm or 100mm shocks?
I believe 90mm
What brand cab is that and what year model cab? Nice build, I like your channel!
Proline power wagon
The power wagon body, any place in specific you recommend to get that?
Affiliate link to A Main hobbies would be great
Is it hard to build the kit?
cool vid! 👍big like!
Thank you!
Do you run any brass at all?
What size shocks do you run
KISS!
I'd like to see how the proline trencher tires work on your setups and in your terrain, I got a set a few months back and find there noticably more planted and predictable, at least on the Canadian west coast rocks compared to my set of PL flat irons.
I just don’t like the look of them. It’s kinda dumb but the look of a tire is important to me
Why CMS instead of SOA?
Logan I don't have any mechanical skills but I have money and I would like to buy your setup already built ? do you know of anyone who will do that?
What rims are those
What shock wt u recommend im think about runing 10wt
I run 50wt
Do you run shock oil?, if so, what weight? thx
Yes. 50W
Is this a class 2 rig?
Down here you can’t go passed 2.75” for class 2
Those flat iron are 2.76😬
That’s very interesting I didn’t know that. Well, it’s close to class 2 I guess.
What shock oil wt are you using?
50 I believe
Hi Logan, i have been following your Videos for quite a while and i love the way you comment and explain, especially in your driving Videos. I am wondering what shock oil you use and what Kind of springs you use for your droop setup? Greetings from germany, keep going with the channel and keep the Rubber side down 👍🏻😃
Thank you! For oil I use 50w I believe and the springs are RC4WD shock springs in the front and desert lizard in the rear
What size shock front & rear
90mm
Bad truck. I'm 67. Lol..
What wheel base are you running?
