I left a pretty heated comment on here a moment ago, I don’t think that was necessary. Before you install, please check the fitment for the collets you insert into the shaft: the Bell crank and the s&s brake lever into the right side peg arm, there’s a shaft there as well. S&s has a very tight tolerance, I had to hammer mine in. Second: if you have your exhaust on, just take off the rear brake off the frame, it’s all in one nice bracket. You can do everything with it dangling off. Good luck everyone
Is there a hole in the tab for the brake pedal pad like the OEM stuff? If so, can the rubber one be cut off and another aftermarket pedal pad installed?
This one is not replaceable. For an option where you can chance the pad, check out this link: www.sscycle.com/products/mid-mount-brake-pedal-for-m8-softail-models/
I’m still running with original header pipes. Do I need to install the Spacers for the Bracket 🤷♂️ I wanted this kit for better Leverage and bigger Foot Pad. Thanks 🙏 Nice Product and Nice Video. From the Good Old State of Gumbo and Great Food. Louisiana 👍👍
The spacers are specifically for getting around our 2-1 exhaust system. You should not require them on your stock headers, though if you want the extra space you are welcome to use them.
@@peckharris3180 did you end up installing this? Did you get better leverage? I'm finding that the stock mids lever isn't high enough above the foot peg to get a good brake.
The brake pedal kit will get the same leverage as in the stock position, it just allows fitment for models running the S&S SuperStreet exhaust on their M8 Softail. For more info check out: www.sscycle.com/products/mid-mount-brake-pedal/
My kit didn't include a black bolt for the connecting arm. The stock one keeps coming loose after one day of riding and the brake pedal is getting stuck engaged.
@@SSCycleInc I have 22 Low Rider ST. Called you guys a couple of times regarding fitments issues with BELLCRANK AND BRAKE PEDAL BUSHINGS. I need to have both honed by a machinist to make it work right.

Will this work with a bassani exhaust?? I have a low rider st with a fatbob header pipe
I have a 2023 Lowrider ST I want to add some crash bars , will I have issues where the bolts won’t be long enough with the spacers?
They need to redo this exhaust!

@@SSCycleInc Thank you
Any way to get a adjustable brake linkage to raise the pedal?seem it ended up at the same position as the stock one wich is way to damn low.

Yep 👍
Feels good on the Foot.
Bigger rubber pad and much heavier and sturdy pedal.
Well worth the Money 💵
RIDE SAFE 👍🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

If just replacing the brake arm, keeping the stock exhaust, would the exhaust still
need to be removed?
Is there a replacement for the bulky rubber piece?
You mean for the pedal itself? There is not.
Is this Brake Pedal required due to the headers being a different diameter from the stock ones?
It is required to run our SuperStreet 2:1 exhaust system.

Is it fit to FXLRS 2020?
Yes it will
Will this work for the Low Rider S? Can the brake pedal itself be changed?
This brake pedal will fit your Low Rider S. The pedal itself is formed into the arm and is not replaceable like the stock one.

Does this affect lean angle?
