      @@Anita-k Oh yeah, that would have been me.
      God, it's not immature to hope the war will be over. Far from it, war is pure horror and suffering.
      If the war carries on as it is it should be over sometime next year with the liberation of Crimea probably coming last. Ukraine has what Gen. Hodges calls "irreversible momentum".
      If the bridge had been completely destroyed that would have shortened the war by months. Hopefully they'll have another crack at it.

    • @gagamba9198
      @gagamba9198 2 года назад

      It's very dangerous. Not that Belarus is a dangerous power, but presently western Ukraine is lightly defended. The bulk of Ukraine's forces are in the east, and these are the most experienced fighters armed with the best equipment. A Belarus and Russian thrust (Russia is reportedly sending troops to Belarus) in the west risks cutting Ukraine off from its Nato supplied munitions and weapons as well as food, fuel, medicine, and all the other essentials. Ukraine is chock full of courage, cunning, and will, but sustaining the warfighter is vital to keep the effort going.

      @ianmorgan1325 2 года назад

      Yes, families are being torn apart by a fascistic war that most Russians support. But let's view things clearly- Ukrainians and Russians are not brothers. Russians, in their imagination at least, have historically looked at Ukrainians as younger siblings. Yet in practice, the actions of the NKVD and Red Army during the Holodomor & WW2 are the opposite of a brotherly attitude. And the atrocities committed in 2022 by the Russian Army on Ukrainian civilians (Bucha, Irpin, Valnovakha, Mariupol, Izium, anywhere the Russian army has occupied, Filtration Camps, the list goes on) are consistent with their historical treatment of people the Russian soldiers view as subhuman, not brothers.

    The Investigative Committee of Russia has put out a lot of information regarding the Crimea bridge explosion which is not very typical of them but it is a super sensitive issue for the Russian people. This was a very complex scheme in which the final truck was involved only in the last leg of the operation. A container of palletes loaded with rolls of plastic left Odessa and went to Bolgaria. From there it was shipped to Georgia by water and from there went to Armenia. In Armenia the load cleared customs in accordance with the Eurasian Economic Union rules, I assume that's where the Armenian citizen came in who committed a crime by improperly clearing a shipment that had originated outside of the EEU. At that point completely new documents were issued indicating a new shipper and receiver. The load was placed on a truck and driven to Georgia and then Russia. It was delivered to a warehouse in Krasnodar region. On october 7 one of the suspects hired the truck and ordered a delivery to Crimea. With a brand new waybill. In Armenia the load was scanned, but the explosives didn't show up on the scan. So either the the rolls of plastic were effective in concealing it or the explosives used simply don't show on the type of scanning used. I have no doubt the ukranian SBU could design the scheme, but I have no doubt that they had "help" from certain organizations when it comes to the choice of explosive materials and the trick with the plastic rolls.

So a country that is home to the Anotonovsky design bureau (largest transport aircraft built) should not find it difficult to build extremely accurate long range drones. My two pennies worth. Maybe Russian armament being transported discretely using civilian lorries to hide from Ukrainian targeting. If this has become a common method for transporting arms for Russia, a simple 'car bomb' strategically attached timed to go off along the journey would achieve the desired effect. This is a 12 mile bridge and so the journey will be 20 mins or so. This is a Russian lorry that cleared security to use the bridge which really means explosives of sufficient quantity was allowed through.

    Russia is seeking to increase the size of its military by 137,000 to 1.15 million. U.S. officials have said that Russia has lost between 60,000 and 80,000 troops in its misguided war on Ukraine.Aug 29, 2022

      Secret service - hah. This is a job for Delta. And they're smart enough to know exactly who to take out. I'd be shocked if they aren't working on it already. Not that they'd end up doing it, but they need to have a plan ready "just in case." Takes a lot of planning and time to set up a hit like this. Again, this in no way means they would actually do it.

      I suspect Ukraine has an adequate supply of ammunition for their machine guns. Recreating the Somme more than 100 years later will do little good for Russia.

      With that many hapless drunken orc conscripts, russias already stretched supply lines and logistics the entire effort will collapse.
