What really sold me is the characters’ chemistries, mysterious storytelling, the insane practical effect and production design, and even JJ’s directing. Kinda miss the days when people were all hype about it when it first came out.
personaly I have mixed feelings for theese 3 movies, becuse growing up whit the original 3 the similarities are to much, and for anyone younger who might not have seen the others, would not have a clue what this is about. though that can be said buy all the trilogies.

More focus on Luke would have been so much better. They could have made him an amputee or have him. being "Disconnected from the force" ( I know they did that, but have him be a bigger part of the movie.....make the trilogy about Rey becoming a main character instead of her just being the main character.....Had the prequels been released before the originals, we'd all have been pissed that Obi Wan had such a relatively small role.....which still was much better than what they did with Luke :S), whatever would have been a good reason for him not to be the main character.......could have had him making a pledge not to fight.....he could have said that he could never kill his own nephew....talk about how he basically raised him for a while?...I don't know, more Luke would have just been better and far less ridiculous than how the first 2 movies ended up treating his character in the sequels :S (And TROS was just a last minute attempt at redemption that didn't really work :S)
I really wish WhatCulture would stop using the music as background to it's videos - it's very distracting and makes getting through the videos difficult.
As much as I like the Rey character these movies would’ve been ten million times better if they centered this trilogy around luke leia and Han. Like if they actually had shit to do besides being background characters. They could’ve made a great movie and a great send off for Luke’s character and bro stayed on an island and died over 3 movies doing absolutely nothing.

You are also a Star Wars fan. I am also a Star Trek fan, BTW. Not all of it, but most of it. I see no need for there to be a division of fandoms, either externally, or internally. Growing up, being a sci-fi fan was extremely nerdy, and very uncool. We are fortunate to live in a time where science fiction is a big part of pop culture, and is no longer nerdy (but still somewhat geeky… :) ). Back in the day, you could not afford to be divisive, or “toxic” - if you found a fellow fan of something, you kept them close, held them tight, and treasured that you had someone you could discuss your fandom with. Perhaps that is the problem. Now that this once geeky thing has gone mainstream, people are OK with internal division, and toxicity, because they can always find someone who shares their view, and can disregard the rest. But where is the respect for the “different” fan? They still share a core fandom with us, and deserve our respect or, at the very least, tolerance, rather than outright disdain, and dismissal. You missed the biggest one. Rey died by falling early in the film when she was climbing in the star destroyer. The rest of the movie and trilogy was her dying Hallucination, Yes she was having Illusions of grandeur! Think about it explains why she's such a Mary Sue!
With all of those talented actors auditioning for Kylo Ren , and they chose Driver ? They must have been determined to sink the trilogy . Darth Emo was one of the worst parts of all three movies.
Problem is, regardless of who got the role, the stupid script turning him into a whiny emo boy was already established. To me, the character of Ren was garbage, not the actor that delivered him.
I like the Sequel Trilogy better than the Prequels Ep 1 was Awful.. So much wasted potential Not enough Qui Gonn or Maul The Prequels were weak and story was incoherent. The Last Jedi is my Favorite of the newer trilogy ( I know a Lot of people didn't like it, I don't care!) As for ROS, the filmed deleted scenes would have made it Awesome! - A dream sequence of Kylo Ren dueling against Vader - Luke and Anakin fighting alongside of Rey to defeat Palpatine And even Rey meeting up with Ben on Tattooine ( the original ending)
