Making One and Two-part Molds for Metal Clay

Here I use Cold Mold compound from RioGrande to show how to make a mold in one or two parts. This is great for reproducing objects in metal.
For the two part mold, I show how I've made a spoon ring from an ornate silver spoon.

Can pour a melted metal to these molds to make the copies of the original objects? In other words are these molds resistant for heat enough to stand liquid gold/silver etc? Do you explain and reveal the materials (two component you rubbing together) you use to make mold/casting?

This is called Cold Mold. I get mine from Rio Grande. It is silicone, so it will melt with molten metals.
