The SGs have it folks Winner is Gibson Wild stuff Phil nice to see you doing well. Dweezil and band you guys are killing it. Video production is top notch too.
Yah i dig it - id go see that. 2:40 - 3:30 - this is phil swinging it… dweezil is good but all arpeggios - phil actually brings the blues… you need the blues to put the ants in the pants
I'm so glad this high quality video was posted. I was at this great show and Dweezil had some great guests play with the band. When he introduced Phil X to the crowd I was elated, but Phil only got a smattering of applause. I was shocked, but I figured that a Zappa crowd probably isn't familiar with him. Then they played... by the time the song was over, it was an audience of Phil X fans! Standing ovation!! Go Phil!!
Awesome from word go!!! Dweezil and Phil X !!! What more do you need,,, but Phil scream and wrap a round SG spin at the end!!😮 It freakin kick's Ass all over the Place,!! Thanks Guys I Needed to Hear that today 🤘🎸🤠🔥🔥🔥🔥🎸😎
Having seen both Frank and Dweezil live, I can say Dweezil's bands are just as tight. With the passing of Frank, there was a void I felt. And then Dweezil came along. One of the most moving concerts I have attended, and I have attended many, was one of Dweezil's. His band played the Muffin Man, and during the guitar solo, they put up a video of Frank playing it as well. The duel solo was being played on the very same SG guitar. It was mesmerizing. If you have become a fan of Frank Zappa, I can say to you if you attend a Dweezil show, you are hearing Frank live.
Dweezil I’ve been a fan since the Shot in the Dark vid days. You’re an amazing artist and from everything I’ve seen a great human being as well. Keeping your Dads music alive and very well is awesome. 👏
Effing hell that was mind blowing. Amazing lead work and let’s not forget some serious bass and drums going on there. Your bass player is channeling some proper Jack Bruce !!
Dweezil is using AXEFXIII with 4 QSC K2.12 PA speakers. 2000 watts each with a single 12" driver with a titanium horn. What a crazy guitar rig. 8000 Watts? Sickness.
@@Starch1b2c3d4a What do you mean he's getting Van Halen studio album tone on steroids and he plays all of Eddie's shit like a surgeon. You're either jealous or dumb or both.
Holy Hanna, that was so good I didn't need coffee this am! You guys ripped the floors up non that. Great interplay w Dweez & Phil. Mama aZAPPA Lifer so I am giving total creeds!
😳 that was incredible! Thank you so much for posting. Seriously, I believe that was the most amazing piece of musical talent I’ve ever seen and heard. Frank is smiling and that I am sure of.
Dweezil can you offer us some historical insights? Was it really Jack Bruce who played bass on the original record? And it was just him and your dad jamming? Also, why the name Apostrophe?
BTW, you should do an interview with Chanan Hanspal. He got a doctorate doing a thesis on your dad's classical compositions and knows his writing at the most in-depth level. He's already interviewed Steve Vai and Andy Partridge of XTC. You guys would have a lot to talk about!
@@thedweezilzappa... just watching the Rick Beato interview, slowly absorbing the history that you have been involved in. Yes, you are modern music royalty. Dweezil, i was honored to carry your guitars into the venue when you toured with "Z" Shampoo Horn gig in Pittsburgh... the first time i ever saw a fretless guitar and the 250 song medley that yinz played was a musical brain twister. I complimented you on the way out and you told me that the medley was cut in half from it's 500 song norm. It was the most my brain was twisted in 69.5 years of life. The scars are still itchy, it feels good to scratch. 🐝🤟 Can't wait to listen to this live jam on my new Bluetooth headphones, they seem to be dynamically advanced. 🔊🎶 Thank you for keeping the music of Frank Zappa alive 👍 Too prolific for words. 📜
@@tbone1780 why? Phil X is just overplayed nonsense. There’s more to guitar than shredding and chugging notes. Something I’ve certainly learned on my guitar journey over the past 30 years.
@@cud981 I have a few things on my channel. I don’t need to flaunt my talent but I will posting more videos very soon. Send me a link of you playing. I also have stuff on bandlab under my name kingsecho. I would smoke you respectfully I’m sure. I play six instruments.

I love how Dweezil just watches his band mates take solos like he was in the audience. Such joy.
Thank you, Dweezil, for keeping your father's music alive and for inviting so many talented guests to play it with you!!!!
Phil X is a beast. Dweezil is a master. Wild combo, incredible results!
Yah i dig it - id go see that. 2:40 - 3:30 - this is phil swinging it… dweezil is good but all arpeggios - phil actually brings the blues… you need the blues to put the ants in the pants
The technicality of Dweezil combined with the wing it of Phil X! Magnificent! Now all we need is the lunacy of Corey Feldman!
😮😅🤣😂
No we don't.
Corey Feldman 🤣🤣🤣
That's not even funny.
Bout time. Loved the Beato interview
What a joy to watch a couple of master players, play together. These are guitar players, players.
Great! The ONLY Live concert I would ever attend these days! Thanks, Dweezil ….for the next level of the Zappa experience!
Absolute FIRE!
Phil is such a natural rock star. Great display of playing by everyone involved

Yeah, I'm not sure why Phil X has flown under the Radar for so long or maybe they knew he plays for Bin Jovi. Lol.
Dweezil, that guitar, in your hands, sounds magnificent!
Now that’s rock n roll. Play some more of that!
that drummer wow !
Love you, Dweezil. Great performance.

I love seeing you play with Phil, he makes you smile more! Well, he makes us all smile more! He is the lost son of Jim Morrison! 🤣🤣🤣
More phil x please! That opening note was burn!!!!! Give phil a one key jam and he’s money. Adds a lot of energy

When the entire band has old school curly cables you know you are in for some serious psychedelic rock.
Yeah seriously, why are those so much cooler?
Phil is a good old Toronto boy. 🇨🇦❤️🎸😎

OK...this FUCKING ROCKS! Two beasts on the guitar - love it!

Those notes at 3min 58- 59 sec in video are truly special and magical. Sounds mean and nasty when it eases on out. Way cool!
I just smiled all the way through that 😊
PhilX said some interview he likes of surprises.
In this solo a lot of them❤🎸. I heard even AC/DC Thunderstruck😂🙏.
Love that he's playing Frank's SG!
That was crazy good!
Just killing it!! Amazing playing all the way around.

Gosh, that sounds incredible!
Amazing!
Save some rock ‘n’ roll for the rest of us 😂
This is what I was going to say, I literally enjoy these super bands/ colab. much more than other ((well known very famous bands)).
My SG has a new favorite vid.

Holy f*ck!! Outstanding!!

Dad's old guitar still sounds pretty good!
Cuts like a knife. Phil X guitar sounded thin and weak compared Dweezil's. Even both are SG models ?

Brilliant! You two playing together gave me Frans and Steve vibes if you dont mind me saying just with less "stung guitar" lol.
LOVE IT and I'd have LOVED IT MORE if it was the whole song. Eagery hoping for a 4K of the entire tour. PLEEEEEASE DWEEEZE!
