This movie is genuinely amazing. Not only is it the best comedy in years, it also really feels like those amazing 80s and 90s buddy comedies with its style and its general vibe. We just don't get that so often these days so I'm really greatful that this exists.

Ryan's Character knowing enough to use a towel when punching through glass, but also using it in the exact wrong way (like they were brass knuckles) is fucking hilarious. died laughing.

Then later March falls off a high rise building into a pool, hallucinating Nixon in the water which freaks him out thinking he was near death.
God this needs a sequel so bad, Russel and Ryan have some of the most incredible chemistry I’ve ever seen. This is one of the funniest movies to have come out in a long time

I know it’ll go down as a cult classic but I wish it had been an instant hit so that we could have gotten a sequel! also, Angourie Rice?? such a genius for how young she was. really wish we could see more of her as Holly!!! we need a second movie set in the 80s :’(

It honestly saddens me that people hate on Shane Black so much after The Predator, like this movie is his magnum opus and he should be respected as a director instead of hated for having to direct a studio meddled mess of a movie

You missed one of the best moments at the end when Ryan says "Well, at least you're drinking again." and Crowe goes "Yeah.. feels great." That is such funny delivery, I was giggling like a school girl.
The whole movie made me need to rehydrate heavily. But its the little things, sometimes there's nothing bigger- when he just completely randomly and violently starts swatting that wasp at the very end of the film. Just so needless and the kind dumb funny thing that would happen to his character
Not gonna lie, I've watched it two times and only understood the crime solution in the second time. Now that I'm writing it, I realize that maybe I haven't understood it completely

The publishers didn't think it'd do well, so they skimped on advertising.
