A friend of mine had satellite tv, we all dosed and made a stereo vcr tape and cassette tapes which I still have on this day, it still wasn’t as good a show as the 85 and before tapes, but very cool to trip and see a live concert at Shoreline. This vid is missing a lot of the pre show parking lot scene, but a good blast from the late 80’s.
Not to put this show down, but the best tv appearance of a Dead show I saw with my friends was New Years 85/86 which I think was on the USA network? The channel that had Nite Flight and later years up all night? Still have the 85/86 New Years on vhs tape too. Rare to ever see the Dead on tv. Only reason we saw Shoreline was my one friend with satellite at the time. Not long after Shoreline, I went out and saw Cal Expo in early August. Wish I had that on video.
Niite Flight was awesome. But Up All Night was my favorite. I still find myself doing this little goofy dance step and singing the jingle when it seems to feel appropriate to the conversation. Lol.🎤up all night🎤
I have had some very intense times(awesome set lists) and seen some crazy things at Shoreline. I actually saw a cop and a couple of security guards that had been dosed. Talk about crazy energy.

Summer Solstice '89!! I remember watching this on pay-per-view right after graduating high school & right before seeing my 1st live show. By summer '90 I was on tour till the last show in '95. Scarlet > Bucket is just incredible!! You can almost hear the beginning of Fire... then _nope_ Bucket 🕉⚡️🍄☯️☮️

This was my second Dead show. Mind melting and life changing experience that will never leave me in this life or any other!
