Fun facts: in the Japanese release of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the Dreamcast, there is an online play feature. If you want to play online on MvC2, you will need a Japanese Dreamcast. Note that the orange swirl on the Japanese Dreamcast represents Japan, the red swirl on the USA Dreamcast represents the USA and the blue swirl on the PAL region Dreamcast represents the PAL region. If the online functionality will not work on the Japanese version of MvC2, then just stick with playing offline against your friends and family members in person.
Stuttering Craig /ScrewAttack were single handedly responsible for tarnishing the reputation of MvC2's OST online for years. MvC2 has an incredible soundtrack that 24 years later still stands out
So crazy. Since there weren't as many voices out there back then, people latched onto the idea.
@@PhoenixSplash I remember back in 09 or something when I finally got my hands on a DC copy and I actually got to listen to the soundtrack in context, it completely floored me and I was like "These people online are bugging" lolol
Mvc2 is amazing. Captain america was my favorite too. Wish I had gotten better with cyclops though, he's ridiculously good. I love this series and can't wait to see more.

I remember the first time I saw this game at the game shop and it was packed. About 10 people around that thing throwing those quarters away! It felt like early 90's hype, but it was actually the early 2000's. Arcades need to make a comeback. Nothing like spending money to get your ass kicked by some random dude! I guess with inflation kids are too poor these days to spend even a quarter. Probably more like a dollar now- poor kids these days😅
Could you imagine if everybody stop playing after a year or two like most other fighters now? People are still finding out new stuff to this day… lol
The Secret Factor Shop on the home console versions kept me ADDICTED to this game. I would spend countless hours playing this, Single player and with friends. One of my top fighters of all time for sure!

Used to let the console run on training mode before going to school to farm 9999 point every day so I could unlock stuff faster 😂😂 my dad was pissed off cuz he said I was wasting electricity 😅

He's literally at his most boring in this game
This was a fun game but unbalanced. Cable is way too powerful and some characters are useless. For me this is a big issue. Balance is key.
I totes forgot about Bobby Drake iceman. In Marvel Supe Heroes he was much stronger. I can’t really put my finger on it to why he is lame in this one. I think he and Morgan are the oldest sprites in here tho. 94’ and 95’ maybe?
Wow, I don't even remember him being there. But yeah, that Morrigan sprite has been in so many games. For some reason, it just fit well with every iteration. Would have loved to see her sprite in SVC chaos.
