They are true, I have lagna lord in lagna (libra ascendant, but it is ascpeted by Saturn) so results vary in my case, my dad has his lagna lord in 2nd house (planet is debilitated) but still thing mentioned hold true for him(he is voracious reader, popular amaong women, happy, good natured etc, my husband has his lagna lord in 3rd house yes true for him too(valour, wealth,happy, intelligent but i'm his only wife so far). My son has lagna lord in 8th house and I was always worried that it is bad, he could say 25 slokas by the time he was 11/2 years, he has learnt entire bhagvad gita by heart (he can recite the entire 700 slokas without looking at the book), loves playing violin (i feel he kind of goes into trans while playing it) , he keeps falling sick.

Vedas were never stored in mutts like buddhists.. It was with brahmins (most of them were grihastas) So none of the vedas are lost. But we did lost various samhitas and nadis of rishis
