    Final footage looked really good. I reckon using the f10 fresnel instead of the hyper reflector would get a better more natural looking hard light that better mimics sunlight. What brand is the butterfly frame you're using here? And what camera? I can see it's a Sony.

    • @Allinfilmmaker
      @Allinfilmmaker  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you, of course a fresnel would make the light even harder. You also could use a even stronger light like a 1200d. The 600d still has a hard time to fight against the sun. But the idea is to understand, that by forming the light even during daytime can give the footage something special. The Frame was from Aliexpress they deliver worldwide and the price is very fair for the quality, it is a very solid build. Here the link:

    Shooting in harsh sunlight is always a bit tricky. Your lighting set up looks decent, but for my taste I don't like the second to last setup you did. You get the "sun sandwich" that doesn't look natural. Great for photo portraits but not for a video where there should be a natural look.
    I like it more with the negative fill from the last one. I can tell where the sun is coming from and the negative fill is on the dark side. Maybe a little further away since i don't think the sun even on the dark side would be that contrasty around mid day/afternoon

Tbh i also do not enjoy the move a lot of gear around part in filmmaking but sometimes it is the only way to get what you imagined. But yes sometime less is more. I can‘t wait for a full frame iphone 🙃
