These things amazes anybody that sees it IRL for the first time. Do anyone here know how animals reacts to it? Imagine having your dog or cat sitting beside you and this happens. If it's far away enough that they don't get scared, do you think they too would be amazed in their own kinda way and keep watching it or are they oblivious to it and just get's back to rest
I love the fact that people cant shut up long enough for the rest to hear the sounds of collapse. Without the endless OMG and Look, look along with the laughing..apparently is funny to see ice float.
I know they're big but hard to gauge how big. An idea would be to superimpose something relatable so we could go Oh Arh with the viewers. Maybe next time. Still awesome regardless.😊
That third video “Diving Out” where the one huge piece literally slipped into the water was spectacular. I know they call it “calving,” but it makes me say “Holy COW!!”
I'm not so sure about taking one of those Glacier Cruises...There will be that giant rogue fall one of these days and a wave as tall as the ship some unlucky people are on.
not necessarily....glaciers often move quite rapidly and can form rapidly too....10 meters per day is not uncommon. So that's 3.6 kilometers per year. Most glaciers are not more than 50 km long so the ice can go from the top to breaking off into the ocean in just a few decades.
pronounced [tsɯnami]) is a series of waves in a water body caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions (including detonations, landslides, glacier calvings, meteorite impacts and other disturbances)
Yes @louisgrenier3 my cousin & I were saying the same thing. Although calving is necessary what people here FAIL TO REALIZE its been happening at a RAPID PACE SINCE THE 1990S.
WHY are these people SO IRRITATINGLY happy about these events?! Are they Really so clueless as to not know what these large scale calving events mean for our planet in the long run? From the frightening increase of melting glaciers, to affecting the salinity of the oceans, and causing changing weather patterns over the earth,..... People seem to be so one-dimensional these days only thinking about what's right in front of them for the moment, Never thinking about the long-term consequences.. Climate change IS real, And the only one who can reverse it is Jehovah God himself.. But in the meantime we need to prepare for what's coming...💐😔
God gave us FREE WILL. WE created this. And we showed God our gratitude through selfishness, chaos, industrialization, hunting animals to extinction and polluting this planet AS WELL OVER POPULATING IT. God said be fruitful and multiply, God didn't say BE A PLAGUE AMONGST THE LAND.
素敵な白い世界😮🎉👍🔔🔔🔔
I would love to know the core sample results from the bottom of those Glacier's that flip over.........Gotta be some old stuff in there!

World: melting :-(
Humans: whooohhaaah!
the world is not melting....glaciers break off at the ocean, it's what they do.
The World: Wow, how humbling to witness such a force of nature
Yanks: Let's make as much noise as possible so people don't forget I'm here.
No joke this video can teach us how tsunamis form
O dear Papa God, your world is so majestic.
Where is this

💕💕♥️♥️
I would love to witness an event like this without the hoards of cackling tourists.
Will there's people be cheering when the ocean rises and floods the world 😢
put the bong down Kevin Costner
Those glaciers are thousands and thousands of years old,
Don't worry, new ones will be made on the other side and it will take thousands of years before they break down again.

Why do they applaude, this is so sad.
Sad? They have been doing this for millions of years.
A glacier has to calve to stay healthy . I didn’t know this till recently, it’s all to do with the movement and the under ice rivers.
They're applauding "Mother Nature" at her finest! Calving is glorious, the sound is soul shaking!!!

President Musk will require us all to drive Teslas. That will solve global warming.
