    I own the original iD44. From the specs I've seen, not much has changed. I'm sure the extra headroom on the preamps are nice and having the loopback feature is cool. Besides that, nothing much has changed.

      @@hearmenow909 I recently compared the ID14 to my Prism Lyra feeding the same outboard chain. Performed far, far closer than you would expect! I prefer the conversion to my Lavry DA10 Lynx Two and RME Fireface UC. The only thing is… it’s probably probably not going to last as long as the products above. But for sonics / cost… it has to be the best deal out there at the moment. They also answer the phone and help you with questions! Crazy

    Bought the id44 MK2. Used Scarlett interfaces in the past. The id44 is stellar. Dead silent noise floor compared to Focusrite. Gone are the pops and clicks that came with Focusrite. Even with my beefy system I could never achieve low latency without the pops and clicks. With the id44 at 32 samples and 96khz it's night and day. Thoroughly impressed. I'm not bashing Focusrite. They're okay. I think its an issue with their drivers. BSOD and stability issues are frustrating. Thank you for the video!

    Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. I see you are still using your Roswell Mic - I got the mini K87 and Wow! what an improvement. Now - that pushed me to upgrade the audio interface - was not happy with my old ones. I really did not need the capabilities of Audient ID44 MKII - primarily used for my voiceovers and Presentation videos - but I wanted the quality of those preamps and the quality of sound. I just got a good open box deal on the ID4 MKII that the Roswell Mini K87 will feed. So keep the good stuff coming.

      What about the EVO 16 by Audient? Seems very flexible for a great price.

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow 2 года назад +1

      @@MakingMadBeats 100% agree, it the evo looks awesome, though, my understanding is that the preamps are not the same as other audient which use the same as on the audient console. So guess it depends exactly what you are after connectivity or quality. I only have one decent preamp but still need others for DI, plus amp recording etc. So around 4 is fine for me, just the other features I mention like Bluetooth playback or 2 track play back makes for a lot more flexibility and I find I use it quite a bit in my current rig.
      It can all be solved with $$$, but yes probably an evo could resolve this if I dont need the character. I would need to check dynamic range also but it could well be the winner.

    • @MarlonKingShow

      @MakingMadBeats 2 года назад +1

      @@MarlonKingShow Well, I had the Audiofuse 8Pre from Arturia before. Preamps were quite nice and the line levels were loud as hell. Unfortunately, it was not flexible routing wise. So, I went with the Focusrite Clarett+ 8Pre cause I got it for a decent price. Sounds a little bit more neutral compared to the Audiofuse.

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow 2 года назад +1

      @@MakingMadBeats okay cool, that interesting to hear, I have generally been avoiding Focusrite as i've heard in general build quality is not great. but I understand Clarett is their premium model and may be built in a different factory. Ultimately as you say, routing is everything, even with minimal connections you need to be able to maximise potential for usecase scenarios.
