Not a particular Tool fan here, but I really liked your performance! I was always thinking of you more as a recording engineer (thanks for the great reaper course!), but didn't know you were such a masterfull musician as well! Have a nice one, cheers from Germany, Luke

Great video. the -10db switch on the face is probably the feature to get me to upgrade from my ID14. As trivial as it sounds, I wish they added a power switch. Thanks Adam!

But the iD14 is further down the product stack with a lower price point, and the iD14 had ADAT in which I guess is enough for a lot of people- product stack complete though!

I just purchased the Audient iD 24 and I've been trying to find out how to turn off direct monitoring (If that's what it is) I can hear the mic feed through my headphones and I don't have a DAW open and the iD mixer is closed. I have no clue how to turn this off

Very good video! Currently I have an Allen & Heath Zed 428 mixer and a Motu 828mk3 audio interface and the truth is that I use at most 3 channels simultaneously and it really takes up a lot of space. I'm thinking of changing all my equipment for the Audient id24 or id44... my only doubt is if I'm going to get audio of the same quality. - how good is the sound quality of the audient?
    Thanks for sharing

Wonderful video. Thank you! I just got a Mac Studio and discovered my old audio interface is obsolete. Trying to decide between Audient iD24 and iD44 for home studio use. I would think the iD24 would be plenty for my needs now, and even more so with ADAT expansion down the road (Audient ASP 800 maybe?). What kind of recording scenario would justify purchasing the iD44 over the 24?

Aside from having more analong and digital I/O, the 44 has another headphone output. I believe this one can also operate in standalone mode since it's externally powered.

You can do that, as long as you set the output to SP/DIF mode. I’m not sure if the iD24 can pass encoded audio like Dolby Digital, but it should pass regular PCM audio

    Greetings and help me please
    Good video...
I have a question that is a bit out of context.
When connecting a preamp to the Audient sound card, the gain of the Audient must be set to zero and control gain and out from the preamp??? Or should the gain of the Audient be in half and give less gain to the preamp??? Please explain to me, teacher, enlighten me... Thanks in advance, I hope you can help me please. Blessings.

So if I were recording a vocal on channel 1 using the send I could go to a compressor/EQ and If I used a Y cable for the send I could go to a comfort reverb and come back in off the reverb to channel 2.

audient is the poor man's lynx ad/da converter and the poor man's neve preamps ive use a old id44 mk1 to record mix master and released songs im aiming for the id24 it save me thons of money from mastering engineer its a swiss army knife it rival interfaces cost thousands audient could easy charge the price of these compared to a rme and i know the audient is identical to the RME UCX interfaces.

    1. is it also posable to connect a separate headphone amp to the id 24
    2. what are really the biggest difference between id 14 and 24

    • @memeswillneverdie
      @memeswillneverdie Год назад +1

Yes you can, you connect the line outs to the ins of the amp, or you can use a DAC and use the optical out and connect the DAC to the amp. That’s what I’m doing rn.
      2. The main difference is the integration of outboard gear
