Decided to go through all of your videos one by one and I just so happened to notice the one thing everyone else did. This elevator is a MontgomeryKONE Vector? Dude that is crazy rare!
@MQ Elevators That’s one of those interesting things I’ve noticed. It’s almost as though the elevator companies have a sort of pecking order. That is, certain companies tend to take over areas and the other companies leave them alone for the most part. For example, where I live the area is mainly dominated by Dover and Montgomery. However, as these companies are now no more brands such as ThyssenKrupp and KONE have slowly began to take over.
I find when this happens, the cab may have moved forward over time due to continuous traffic in and out of the front entrance. Check the cab steadiers and roller guides if there's no issue with the clutch. I run calls all the time and it's fun watching you find the same things I do.
I noticed Montgomery elevator doors make a distinct "zipping" noise when they move. Does this elevator happen to be a Montgomery? I saw other comments saying it was a MontgomeryKone, so it probably is. Edit: I saw the COP, now I know.
Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. Question: apparently you don't have a helper. You are not concerned about getting stuck inside the cab ? You do some deep troubleshooting, and get right back to real world testing. Getting stuck off level with a door restrictor sucks. We all been there but I was curious as to your thoughts.
If you have an intermittent door issue, binding, not closing all the way, not opening all the way, etc. Put the elevator into nudge mode; the problem exaggerates itself and will be easier to diagnose.
Move the trailing roller out towards the door panel. Sometimes this causes the door to perform horribly, allowing the hall door to slide out from the grip of the trailing clutch vane and slam shut or a jerky open sequence on the hall doors. Man that’s old old obsolete Junkgomery fixtures. Those buttons are the worst. No external parts available.
@@MQElevators Hi I just checked my email (its one I rarely use) and saw you replied. Thank you. Any chance I can get in touch with you directly? I have a question about an Otis elevator and would love your expert opinion.
Ahh yes! Old Montgomery Vector! Those are getting hard to find now!
My favorite operator !
Set up right this blows GAL away problem is today a lot of people are not familiar with them.
I love your content!

This stuff is awesome to watch 👌
Thanks
Can you please make a video on how you became an elevator mechanic?
Cool vids! Seemed as if the clutch was retracting too late from the first closing shot you took. Had this problem often
Ik this isn't the focus of the video, but this is actually a very rare elevator. Montgomery KONE with this COP is not all that common.
This is the only one I have seen, maybe I'll do a video tour of it next time I'm there.
My favorite operator, in my opinion much better then GAL !
@@MQElevators If it ever gets modded, I'd love to have some of the buttons if possible!
elevatorsoflakecounty Yeah Same.
Definitely knew it was a Monty with the bumper that it had. Didn't know this was a blended one with Kone until the ride at the end.
Only just started following channel. Like the means for lifting the safety edge
Welcome to the channel
awesome videos
Do tu/vous have a video about replacing burnt out elevator botton bulbs?

I will check those for sure. I’m sure there is a lot of the same calls we all get in our day to day. Thanks for watching.

Usually I am by myself which has in the past gotten me stuck but it’s a nice break just waiting in there.
Keep it up man, love the vids
Thanks 👍

I'll have to try that some time 👍
Have you tried the knipex twin grips yet??
Debating if they will be worth buying
I haven’t yet, I actually haven’t even looked them in a store yet.

I love Elevator
Seems like Armors have door issues
Hi just a question do you work on arona elevator products as well.
I do not
How often should an elevator be serviced, per year?
A passenger elevator where I am located is required by law to be inspected no less than four times a year.
do you like you job?
Ya
Does anyone know the reasons why an elevator clutch would fail?
Depending on what clutch it is, some have a white roller that can get worn and when it it has a flat spot it can’t retract the wing properly
