I have been watching tool comparisons for quire awhile now. I have found my go to for each task and am not going to keep up with the Jones's. I am not in trades but a DIYer. I will make a video of my go to drills soon also. Question is when are the wars going to be over. I say never. Good day David.
I was taught that speed 1 was for drilling and speed 2 was for driving screws, is that wrong? I see you're back to basics, Dave. Good deal, your walk-throughs only made me feel bad because I couldn't ever afford anything (even on sale).
Safety is always #1 for certain stuff speed 2 is good. But speed 1 is safer to use. Speed 2 is always an option for when it's needed. Which is why its there.
I'm fairly certain the DCD800 will wipe the floor with the 794. I have the 800 and it's an amazing compact and powerful drill. That said, I'm thinking about grabbing a 794 as my around the house/small project drill since it's a bit lighter and more compact than the 800. The 794 with a 1.7 powerstack will be quite a capable little drill. A few eviewers have had gearbox failures though, so I'll probably wait a bit for the bugs to be ironed out. It's good to see yours was fine though.
This drill, same impact driver 2 batteries and a charger for $150 at home depot... not sure one could go wrong for casual home project use.... talking myself into it 😂
Every drill has its uses on diferent applications. To use this size drill on heavy applications is meaningless. This drill I do use for many light to medium applications and haven’t done me wrong yet. Really impressed as usual for a Dewalt tool.
@@Lee-lb9qhbecause I’d like to see it in action like the millions of other tool videos people make. I prefer this channel and think David does a great job with tool reviews. I trust his videos. I was just giving him an idea of what I(and possibly other viewers) would like to see coming up. That’s some BS that you’re going to leave a reply like that. I guess I know now why I never leave feedback when RUclipsrs ask “what would you like to see next?” Because jerks like you will jump out and say just go buy it yourself. I probably will but that’s not the point.
Bought same drill and put with paces with my good old brushed Ryobi drill 20v. Sorry Dewalt guys Ryobi killed it in every category and its 10yr old old drill. This Dewalt Drill is fine with light duty work but lacks torque for serious work. Got the Dewalt in a kit with Oscillator and Reciprocating Saw. Will keep both tools but not happy with the Drill
The flex compact is also 1lb heavier with the battery. And the DCD800 weighs less than the flex atomic with the battery, yet wipes the floor with it. The flex is a good drill, but not what I'd consider "compact". Really when it comes to compact drills, the DCD800 is the current king of the bunch.
So grateful you're back playing with tools man.
Dcd800 is THE drill to beat
Thank you 🇦🇺🤠
Nice review David. Looking forward to the comparison! 👍

I thank you for tuning in John :)

Been really missing your drill tests buddy.
more videos are coming soon :)
Miss these videos 😊.

only one way to find out.
I have been working with the dcd 708 atomic for over three years and it has handled tough jobs ,I also have the dcd 805 and it is incredibly powerful.
I dig the ergonomics on the Atomics. I’m a contractor and use them for my cabinet and door installs. Break out the bigger stuff when necessary
it is a very good drill driver. Love what dewalt is doing to their Atomic line
Is this newer than the 799?
Would you like to compare the Atomic against the 12V Xtreme?
Nice video Dave. Thank you.
I thank you

great test
Get the new Milwaukee m18 compact drill next and give us a review on that bad boy!
Why don't you just buy it and use it?

@@tannerwest6823 🤣 sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, you'll get over it

man, those power stack batteries. Still gonna stay with ridgid though.
FLEX compact eats this atomic for the appetizer
Lol why u watching dewalt videos? Why don't u use that time to go buy the flex? 🤡
Who cares mate?. I have Dewalt and get all my work done easily .But you have to lump that big 24 volt battery around.

this new atomic is limited. but we will see how it does against the XR version
Drill plastic..
indeed
Dumb
The purpose of this drill is it's size I would pair it with a power stack 1.7
Correct, which is why it's called Atomic.
