I love watching people react to country. Especially the great country music that tells a story. Don't get me wrong, the fun party country songs are great but the true strength of country music is in storytelling. Happy, sad or anything in between it just grabs you in a way most other music cant.
Oh I couldn't agree more. Storytelling country music is my favorite. That's why 90's country is my favorite genre. More stories in that genre than any music.

Marry Me was his what if song about he and his wife. They really grew up together since grade school, he really has loved her that long, and they really did almost marry different people. That was his what if he never told her how he felt song.. Remember you young was inspired by Proverbs 5:18 "May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth."
Love these songs and love both of the Remember you Young videos. This video is definitely a must for the continuation of the story but he has another one that features his family and it's pretty amazing too. Love the reaction awesome as always.

I've heard both of these songs before, but didn't really listen to Remember You Young until now and wow is that an awesome song.

Marry me always gets to me because I've been in that situation. I had a friend and for me it was love at first sight. We were friends for years and had a few close calls but I never told him how I felt or made a move. I ended up at his wedding as a guest. I found out later he'd felt the same when we were younger. It taught me a valuable lesson to speak up for what you want. If you don't ask the answer is always no.
I feel like the next song, to make this a trilogy, is not a Thomas Rhett song, but Cody Jinks' "William and Wanda," about his grandparents as a couple reuniting in heaven. I don't think there's a video - maybe a lyric video though. 😉

The song Marry Me is kind of his "what if" song. He met his wife in first grade, and they dated in high school but it didn't work out. He always knew he had strong feeling for her, and after they both broke up with their long time significant others, he told her how he felt. Now they have been married for 7 years, have adopted a daughter from Uganda, and have 2 other daughters. He is basically know for being such a great family man, and loves his wife so much.

This song was about if his now wife hadn’t said yes when he proposed
I guess this was heavily influenced from his real life. Him and his wife have been friends since like 1st grade, dated at 15, didn’t work out. Years later she was in a serious relationship and his future father in law called him and said if he didn’t come and tell her how he felt that he would tell her….. they now have like 4 kids..
