Hey Chris, your youtube channel is top shelf. You keep the authenticity and purity without it getting boring!! I come from Belgium and at the age of 21 I decided to go to Australia... Despite the fact that this was breathtaking in terms of nature, lovely people and the possibility of adventure, there was a great lack of culture, which is normal in a country that is still under construction and is relatively new. This loss was made up for by traveling to Japan with the money I earned during my working holiday. Of all the Asian countries I've been to, Japan really stood out. I was lucky enough to enjoy the hospitality of the most helpful and unselfish people. Tradition is honored and the food is out of this world... from having robata grilled king crab at Tsukiji to butter-tender wagyu on the teppanyaki to a sashimi and sake tasting in a tiny restaurant in one of the narrow streets of imperial Kyoto, I couldn't get enough of it ... That's why it feels strange as a young traveler with a Burgundian lifestyle to hear a statement in which you associate light with Belgian beer. For a top youtuber who provides his videos with professional research and the necessary portion of humor I think that "light" is not really the appropriate word to describe or generalize Belgian beer culture. I don't feel offended, on the contrary, this is an invitation which will make it possible to change your mind. When the borders open and it is possible to travel again, I would love to invite you to visit a few of the more than 200 breweries and taste the most distinctive beers with a typical Belgian dish (made with far too little butter). See you soon and arigatō for this amazing content!! Keep on rocking
I'm pretty surprised and happy that even with all these things happening in world you still keep posting these amazing videos and showing us content we love.

Fun Fact: Sapporo and Salt Lake City are sister cities. In the 1800's, during Japan's economic and industrial boom, they sent teams all over the world. Engineers, doctors, soldiers, architects, and so on. At the time, Sapporo was growing so rapidly, they sent a team of engineers and architects to the US to travel coast to coast. On the way back to California, they were stuck in a horrible winter storm and had to stay several weeks in Salt Lake City. They loved the hospitality, and spent lots of time with the local engineers who are still renowned for their skills and history with the Transcontinental Railroad and most of America's famous gun manufacturers. When they returned to Sapporo, they modeled the city streets off of Salt Lake's and how it's laid out like a grid from math class. And to this day they still keep close ties, mostly through industry and commerce.
@@Wolvenworks I think the most commonly exported belgian beers are 'Stella Artois' and 'Leffe'. Maybe if you're lucky and find a specialist shop or something international (let's say duty free at an airport) you might also come across 'La Chouffe'. 'Duvel' was mentioned in a comment above yours and that's another classic belgian beer, but I would be very surprised if you found it before any of these other ones. Good luck looking for these in Jakarta! PS An interesting fact about belgian beers. Nearly every belgian beer has it's own unqiue glass to drink from. Probably the most interesting one is for the beer 'Kwak'
@Warlight You could try finding some in the bars listed in this article: www.flokq.com/blog/craft-beer-places-jakarta At the very least, they mention that Beer Garden has Hoegaarden, which is a light Belgian white beer traditionally served with orange juice & peel.

@@colonelpopcorn7702they were off pitch at first i suspect due to the sudden idea or like you said no starting key or note but they managed to correct it fast, which was damn well impressive already on its own. their pronunciation of the english words as non native english speakers were literally almost on point and the harmonization was on point. i have no idea what the other person is on about.

How fitting; Pete calls it a frag and literally gets a grenade in his mouth. Luck of the draw lol
Thats nice
2 hours all you can drink?
10 head group British tourists arrive
2 hours later:
Owner hangs out a sign: out of business
hey just because you brits passed out.. did not mean the bar ran out of booze.
usually when I am done with nomihoudai i usually get a few funny comments about how much i can drink, and then I shock them when I tell them I drink a good 10-12 shots of whiskey before I even go out to drink >< plus on top of that i am always telling them tsuyoi when i order my coke highballs too...haha
Australians walk in
30mins later: out of business XD
@Mia Smith Where I live here in the US, we just consume crazy amounts of alcohol. We still have good bars with cheap strong drinks and yet most of us are just conditioned to drink before we go to get primed up..haha My buddies bar is 2 for 1 all day everyday pints beer or mixers, and strong drinks...lol so for me it is $5 for 2 pints of whiskey with a hint of Coke..haha hehe i probaly shouldn't be proud of our alcohol drinking here, but haha i guess when you are good at it why not..haha kidding :P

Probably gonna clip that out and play it on repeat when i feel lonely next time.
Justice depressing.
Also, is it coincidence that this epic crossover trip happens just in the middle of the virus outbreak? Are the prices for domestic trips in Japan currently down?
i think the sapporo snow festival is sometime in the beginning of februrary
This happened about a month and a half ago
13:00 Natsuki in the background been asked to take a selfie with a fan was the best part xD
I'm pretty surprised and happy that even with all these things happening in world you still keep posting these amazing videos and showing us content we love.
Looks amazing! can't wait to go when this pandemic is finally over.
The whole vibe even in the video just feels great and can't wait to join in with the festivities!
That new intro was slick. Your content just keeps getting better and better
I just want to say that your life is really exciting and i think everyone would love to spend time at such nice places with that nice friends. Your videos are gorgeous and i love to watch them, keep going!
It's so fun seeing them together having fun! I hope Chris invites them again to go out like this!
Also, Divinity by Portor Robinson playing when they were at the bar is just so nice :3
My ears perk up every time I hear a Porter Robinson song. Always a pleasant surprise ^^
He's tried the intro so many times that the snow fused with his hair

moved back to Tokyo from New York a week ago... I was looking forward to all things Japan but I've had to self-isolate. This is where I vicariously live out what I was excited to experience coming home.
I lived in Sapporo for 4 years. Loved it. Wonderful winter weather.
11:20 For those wondering what the song being played in the background is, it's "Here at last" by William Black
Thank you, I was wondering
19:31 And for the otaku out there, the mascot for the Sapporo Snow Festival is Hatsune Miku. Every year Miku-chan gets a new costume design to commemorate the festival complete with a sculpture and unique merch on sale. =)
The snow looks marvelous, I’ve been to Japan but I never got to experience snow unfortunately

Squad goals !! Genuinely 1 of the most enjoyable episodes to watch !! Keep it up chris 👌
Chiaki is so adorable!! 💖 loved the low budget Avengers Assemble too!
Playing yakuza 5 and watching this shows me how RGG studio nailed the design of the city in-game.
Sapporo looks really like a nice place to visit. I'm planning a trip to Japan for around 2022 with my bro and a friend. I'll make sure to go see it for myself.
Chiaki is the absolute cutest!
Another great video with Natsuki in it ...

"So we have here fried octopus balls."
Me googling whether or not octopuses have balls.
For the love of me, I don't know how I missed this video, but I just had to watch it right now. This was a great video. There's an idea if you ever go back during the Snow Festival again, a snowball fight with everyone. You're never too old for a good old fashion snowball fight.
Nice to see people out and about in the world right now.
1800s* No apostrophe in plurals. 😛
I love Pete so much after listening to the podcast. Please have him more in videos if he’s in Japan 😁 thank you so much for this video too!!
adventure time with the whole gang, hell yeah
'It tastes like Belgian beer' and 'It's quite light' are very rarely used together
I'm still in shock, Duvel in hand.
i dunno what to say. i never had belgian beer. what are the famous brands that i could (probably not) find in jakarta, out of all places?
@raiyamato "Interesting" indeed! First time I had one, I almost flooded my face with beer when I lifted the glass to finish it.
@Warlight You could try finding some in the bars listed in this article: www.flokq.com/blog/craft-beer-places-jakarta
At the very least, they mention that Beer Garden has Hoegaarden, which is a light Belgian white beer traditionally served with orange juice & peel.
Thanks for sharing Japan snow festival views, wonderful photography and very useful detailed information congratulations to all 🙏
Lived there for 2 years, great little city and the country side is amazing
I absolutely agree with you. Ippudo is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy better than Ichiran. I feel like Ichiran is catered towards tourists who are scared to eat elsewhere. Apart from that, Im planning my Sapporo trip next year, including this festival. Also will be my first time being in the presence of snow.
