I made this yesterday and it was super yummy. Thank you so much. I don't have to fly back home to sg to eat my favs, your channel is my go-to for home food. Very grateful. ❤️❤️❤️
Looks really good.. Definately gonna try!! I wanted to say the bird in the background brings back soo many memories and makes me miss home... Just from the sound I can smell the morning air and the smell of the rain.. Thanks!
My mum used to make this for us and it is still my favourite dish in the world! Such fond childhood memories and nostalgia. I will use your recipe to cook some for mum.
Hi Jason. Ramen with a twist - you made it sound so good 👍🏻👍🏻 hmm substitute for belacan....you can try to replace it with dried shrimps but it won’t be the same. If you can get hold of shrimp paste, that would be good too. Hope this helps.
Must take my hat off to you again Roland for making a difficult recipe look so simple due to the fact u have cut down unnecessary steps. Mine is a Nonya recipe and Nonyas love to agak-agak (eyeball) ingredients. Thank you for taking the trouble to weigh each item and simplify the steps. I can’t wait to try your recipe. Only one comment I have is that if u add a little coconut milk to the gravy it’s ever so tasty (personal choice though)
This looks delicious😋 I can’t wait to try the recipe. I love your channel💛 Your instructions are so easy to follow.👌🏼🏆 Thank you for sharing your knowledge.💛😊

Hi spice and pans..your mee Siam recipe looks yummy..I live in Toronto Canada and beacon is not available in asian grocery store..could I use the shrimp paste from Lee Kum Kee
Hi Gillian, hope all is well in Canada. We hope to visit Canada one day. You can get belacan from Amazon but if you already have shrimp paste on hand, you can use that too. However, please add lesser amount because shrimp paste from LKK is quite salty. Happy cooking! :o) Have a great weekend!
..this is me and my sons favorite food.we can't find it in malaysia.so ever time we go to singapore, this is our first choice food. will try it cook for them.thank you so much for your cooking channel
Heaven, as per your usual. 👏👏👏. Do you have a restaurant? Can you please demonstrate how to make super easy tasty recipes that require 6 ingredients or less? It would be greatly appreciated 😊
HI Roland, i just made the rempah using ur recipes but have not fry them (intend to cook on Fri) But i read comment below that it may be too spicy, how would you suggest now to reduce the spiciness?
Love broth, onions and aromatics with awesome noodles with a kick of Sambol. We sell a brand here in Miami via forgot the name but it is great but I will try yours.
Superb....Super yummy... hi! I’m living in Singapore for last 28 years.. when I first arrived here these all local dishes were available everywhere but now a days there very few are selling these local dishes... my personal favourite are mee siam of course then chicken rice, mee goreng, carrot cake and many more.... can you please show us how to cook or assemble rojak( Chinese one ... with fruits in it)?.. please please🙏
Hi Sumedha. Rojak. Our favourite too! We hope to make it soon. Thanks so much for your request. Are you still in Singapore? I’m just wondering why you can’t find local dishes these days.
Yes. Shownus your recipe for dry mee siam and also chinese style curry chicken. I know curty chicken is a very basic dish but i would luke to see your take on this recipe.
We love curry chicken. We’re still trying to figure out how our grandma used to do it. This will need some more experiments from us. Hope to get a video done as soon as possible.
Hi Sashi. You can just soak the vermicelli until they are soft. It would take around 20-30 mins for them to get soft. Once they are soft, you can start to use them in your cooking. Have a good Sunday!
in Batam i can get the mee siam snd it's difference taste with singapore mee siam... but i still love both and missing so much now at 00:59 midnight 😭🤤😍❤
Hi Lester. Thank you so much. This recipe serves 6 🤓🤓 . In case we couldn’t reply you to your question in time to meet your cooking plan, you can refer to the description box of this video for the full list of the ingredients used - we usually estimate the number of servings just before the list.
