Arrma Big Rock roof skid installation using traxes maxx roof skid.

In this video we add a roof skid to our Arrma Big Rock 3s (aka Dwayne). We saw the videos from ‪@rcguygarage‬ about using the roof skid from the Traxxas Maxx and decided to give it a shot as Arrma does not offer one. The Traxxas Maxx roof skid fits well and looks great on the Big Rock 3s. the only difficult part was lining up the holes so that the roof rack was somewhat straight. We used the packaging from the roof skid to make a template and drill the holes. I think ‪@rcguygarage‬ used the inner body frame from the Maxx, whereas we just used a few washers and the included screws. If you want the roof skid to fit flush (which we may end up doing if too much dirt gets jammed in there) you will need to use a body reamer or larger drill bit to open up the holes. Then you will need larger washers to fit around the roof skid mounts.

you will need larger washers if you want it to sit flush to the body.
