I may have said it before but I don’t even own an Arrma of any kind. Your mods are awesome and I think all of the Rc community can benefit from your R&D East Tactics. You are the man. Keep on pushing bashing science forward brother. Much love.
When you make your order on eBay, find the link to contact the seller. If you private message him and ask if there is anyway he could send you six… there a good chance he might reference your order, and add two for you. Just a thought.
I have seen some guys use titanium roof skid screws or bolts that stick up far enough so that they make sparks when you slide. Haven't tried it yet but sounds good. Thanks man, glad I found your channel
That would be pretty sick. If you find em send me a link👍 Glad you found my channel too Be sure to check out the active jump competition. Grand prize - complete M2c beef cake kit & fans for both ur ESC and motor. And more!
I haven't done it myself. I have seen Kevin Talbot di it. All you need is any titanium nut or bolt to stick up higher than the roof skid or skid plate or wheely bar. They use titanium skid plates under F1 cars cuz it takes very long time to wear away. Sparks are the side effect. You can see it during the races
I am wrapping up three videos at the moment. One is the mod box giveaway results with an update on the springs. Unfortunately it’s just a verbal update because the bash footage that I created became corrupted… UGG!! The other is the official BEC install, and the third is showcasing the physical difference between 6v and 7.4v.
Love the video and information. Roof skids were one of the first things I looked for and purchased. Sending you an email with a pic of the skids I use.
Awesome Ryan... be sure to post this exact comment (if you haven’t already) in this video, where the giveaway exists. ruclips.net/video/cDQDCrXtKos/видео.html
Your shock tower and suspension is what takes the hit instead. Don't think the choc goes away. Idk if chassi slapon concrete is what kills electronics. I dont bash on concrete. I have my plastic chasis rc for that
I would say you’re right in the fact that with running springs that are double or triple the pounds per inch in stiffness that you’re transferring the energy into your shocks, your rod ends, and your shock tower. However I’ve seen no issues in that category, but what I have seen is a dramatic decrease chassis slap, It’s especially noticeable when you’re actually not at the skate park and you’re just hitting the ramps at like a dirt track. Coming down from high air, there’s just something satisfying about seeing how well she lands with these modified shocks. I myself love it.
@@EastTactics i think u made a video in the pass about the shocks and in that same video you showed the m2c chassis bowing like a banana upon landing. Cant imagine now with stronger springs.mine lands on all 4 and doesnt bounce back and its a stock kraton exb. If you just launch from ramps at 70mph maybe. Chassis slap isnt a bad thing. A lot of youtubers started saying metal chassis= electronic failures. Someone with a metal chassi shouldnt be really playing on skate parks unless you like to hear that big shotgun sound when landing. Thats why i have my k4s for that purpose. The stock setup is more suited to handle almost everything. Your setup is only focused on landings from what i see
Yes... she is tuned for landing, even to the point of turning the dial slightly backwards for handling. But that’s the way I like it for a straight basher. My strategy would certainly be different if I was rocking a buggy and competing in races lol. Make no mistake tho, m2c parts through out make these rigs qualify for double the air time but in the process add a lot of weight. The chassis is still in my opinion the best and most key upgrades for insane sends, the flex it has us there yes, but it returns to straight like a champ. So with the stronger body and frame big sends (or concrete) do a beating on our electronics. This weight begs for upgraded shocks to lend reprieve to the electronics, which is why the focus on my channel is on shock mitigation and springs. lol I always love your comments, you keep me in my toes.
No the 12LBS/in Springs that I recommend in the description of the video are actually very similar to the Arma Nero big rock springs. So if you pick those up I recommend running 5K differential fluid in all four of your shocks. And incorporating the M2C shock caps. Now if you decide to actually pick up one of those other springs, That I laid out in the description that are 9 & 10 pounds per inch Because maybe your vehicle is 2 pounds lighter. You might consider lowering the thickness of The fluid. Maybe 3K for those. And yes I’m not talking shock oil. I’m actually talking differential fluid. Technically they’re all silicon-based. Let me know if you have any other questions
@@EastTactics that sounds super expensive. I like the stock shock setup on my exb the m2c shock cap are 100$ cad almost. And i saw kevin talbot snap all of the pistons with the m2c setup. The only thing i got from m2c are the shock tower brace for my mojave exb and the diff outdrives for my kraton exb. I have so far no issues. Only my mojave who keeps breaking body posts and bumper springs. Someone is designing a 3 printed one with the same material i think as your skid plates. I have a 3D printed wing mount. Its a noodle i think you can almost tie a knot with it🤣
Do you use the Trencher HP Belted or Trencher X? I’m torn on weather I want the belted. Seems nice, the copperhead 2 that came on the car ballon very little which I like so the belted stands out to me but I also don’t want to risk diffing out and exploding a tire. Just wonder what you went with and what your thought process was.
You ever going to make a video of you actually driving this? I hear about bashing but I've only ever seen it on the bench. I'm still waiting to see how this body liner holds up.
Mike… yes…I promise… and soon. In fact… I’m extremely frustrated, because I took her out Saturday and bashed her really hard. Only to find that my Insta 360 camera that I had mounted to the brim of my hat overheated and shut down. So I wasn’t sure how much footage I captured until I got home… after it cooled and I got it back on… I found that the entire thing was corrupted footage… didn’t get a lick of it. Really bummed… What I can tell your since you asked.. is that the Body held up like a champ, not cracks or tear. And the 12lb (Nero Alternative springs) I was testing worked like amazing… I was coming down from high drops and the sound was just “Plush” is the best way to describe it. I am definitely giving the green light for those who having been trying to nab the Arrma Nero big rock springs, but can’t find them, to go ahead and buy these springs from CenturySprings. Part number is in the description. But ya.. Im going to get out again, with the same springs on and do another hard bash really soon. I just wanted to get these roof rails on asap… and drop a reminder about the active giveaway. Thanks for keeping pressure on me regarding this… Mike… you da man!
He can drop that K6S from a 10 story rooftop...there will be no damage to that body....the rest of the truck God knows what will survive...but Rest Assured that body liner is the Ultimate Protection.

Just got home and my skid plates were in the mail! Can confirm they are quality. I love the flex they have.
Awesome, hey Troy thanks for reporting. I agree 100%. Got mine installed and they are fantastic!

It sparks on concrete or hard surfaces. Button head screws work best as it won't drag in the dirt
i use plastic coat hangers, cut too length sand n shape , couple screws n paint. dirt cheap works and last
What’s the next video… can’t wait 😜 to see more on springs and the mod box giveaway! Love the 3D fan covers and skid protectors.

springs are rated per inch, so effective travel will dictate maximum spring pressure in operation😎
