Summer in the Rocky Mountains - Wild Horses, Misty Swims & Dancing with Wild Raspberries

Over the last 6 months, we've spent 48 days camping in various areas throughout Alberta's Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains. A camping season of dreams.
We began our summer in the south, surrounded by the lush valleys of the Yaha Tinda, coyote pups and adorable spotted baby elk calves.
From there, we head back north to the elk flats to meet up with our wild horse friends, and even have a few special encounters with the rare herds of elk which I've not seen in any numbers in this area for 30+ years. A once in a lifetime hail storm, wild raspberry dancing and misty swims are just a few of the highlights from this leg of our camping nature immersion.
