Let's admit it, even though not all shameless seasons are equal on the like quality level, they all slapped and I'm so thankful to live in a world where this masterpiece of a show exists. Best show ever.
What i love about shameless is that there really wasn't a happy ending everyone left but I love that it was so realistic in life most dont get much of a happy ending just not a sad one
Eh the ending being left up to interpretation is just lazy writing in my opinion. It's no secret the quality of the show fell off drastically I'd say after Lip's college experience was over (forget which season that was so just framing it off of that).
I think the ending was perfect in the sense that it wasn't an ending at all. It's left in a way that says they're lives continue, with all the complications that define our lives. The only thing that ended was our view into their lives. We can imagine that they're out there figuring it out right along with the rest of us...

My fiancé was named after a character on here. He passed New Years Day. At 5:55. My baby boy, Diesel, a 15.5 year old Maltese passed Saturday. And I’m 5 years sober in 5 hours. And shameless was the best gift ever. Finished it today 🎉

And that's when Frank goes, when he's looking at everyone enjoying themselves and happy. He feels it's his time and it's as good a time as any. He ascended because he lived wholy and truly. Yes he lied, but sometimes you have to. And he stole and did a bunch of bad stuff but none of that makes him evil, he was just trying to get by to the way we get by to the way we get by.
I feel like I watched them all grow up (the kids from shameless), so somehow I feel like I was a part of their struggle to get by. And I can indeed say, that’s the way we get by.

One of my favourite things about Shameless is that they used lots of amazing music that isn't so well known, it's shown me so much music that I absolutely love. The UK version of Shameless has some good music in it too btw I am just not very far into that one yet! The only artist I remember recognizing instantly in Shameless was kid Cudi and it was a Cudi song I had never heard before as well haha
