Jaro Tapal's broken lightsaber is quickly becoming easily one of my favorite designs for a lightsaber. Granted, I'm a bit biased. I've loved the Jedi Cal Kestis games and Cameron Monaghan's performances in those titles are outstanding!

I've been wanting this review for ages and now that it's finally here I think it's going to be the next fine addition to my collection
I’d do anything for this one. I’ve been looking non stop for an affordable cal saber. But sadly they’re all mad expensive
What you could do is buy one in parts- There are offers in aliexpress for only the emitter, so you buy that, then the button section, then the body, etc. Then you buy a Proffie core with accent lights on the booty and you're set!
My saber just came in and it was worth the money, thank you for making these incredible informative videos there honestly great :)

just got the snv4 version of this saber i love it i unscrewed the metal part of the blade plug and just use that without the little blade piece looks much better in my opinion

I will soon buy exactly that one, I loved it. Lastly, before watching this video, I bought the collector's edition of Star Wars Jedi Survivor on Ebay :( and that one works with the Galaxy Edge sword, which doesn't look very bright, since it is not neopixel or xenopixel.

Very Nice saber, kybersabers are making some really good sabers too. But I have a question, in the video you told us that on this saber we can change the pommel from the fallen order to the jedi survivor pommel, but do we get Both of the pommels at the same Time when we order or do we have to buy the second pommel separately ?!?!?!?!?

Im probably going to pixk this one up. My 89 sabers while beautiful is so quiet and kind of annoying to use to change fonts
are these sounds/colours default or dod you change something? This would be my first light saber and never had one before
Idk why but Cal Kestis has probably one of the coolest light sabers out of any I’ve seen. This is awesome, but I’m not a fan of the character voices on the sabers. I wish they’d stuck to light saber sounds and effects only. Otherwise it kind of strips that movie accurate feel from it, and gives it more of a toy vibe. Otherwise awesome, that was my only complaint
You can mute the sounds i believe as well as add other sounds
Did you say that the handle from kybersabers fit on the 89 sabers handle/pommel. I really like the 89 sabers one but I like the handle/pommel better on kybersabers better, I was just wondering if they are interchangeable. I'm really stuck between them both. I like bits of one over the other and visaversa. I'm torn. They are both awesome.

Id go somewhere else, both of those places are sketchy and you can get the same exact thing somewhere else like SaberTheory, KyberSabers, AllySabers, DarkWolf, Crimson Dawn, Padawan Outpost, CCsabers

I ordered my first lightsaber for me and my older brother and it's taking TOO DAMN LONG TO ARRIVE I NEED ONE NOW 😭
took mine a month to get in cuz dhl refused to pick up the package for 2 weeks. my pwr button came in silver i like it better then the black button. I think my saber might be faulty tho. it seems to randomly disconnect during use. other then that im loving it just gunna have to figure out if the saber is messed up or not.

Is the kyber version thinner on the pommel than the survivor v4 version? Or does it just look like that cause it's more of a plastic looking black color?

If I understand correctly, if i buy a V4 89sabers, the grip/pommel of the Kybersabers is compatible with it? I prefer the look of the the Kybersabers fragmented pommel, but want the 89sabers replica emitter/switch.

Hows the speaker quality in this saber compared to a custom that would have like a 28mm smugglers outpost speaker?
Good question! Its not near as good as my Fallen v2 which is probably my loudest saber. Id be curious to know (which it probably does) if it vents better with the Fallen Order pommel instead. Overall id say its good enough, I like it. I could probably look at the config and see what its at and maybe raise it up a tad though

Just a question for anyone who owns this saber, can you heavy duel with it or should I find a different saber to get. I’m considering buying a proffie but I don’t know if it can take heavy dueling
Dueling comes down to the blade, which this saber will come with a heavy grade blade capable of hard dueling. I will say if you plan to buy cals saber to duel with it is longer than most and will be much heavier with the heavy grade blade. I would still recommend it, regardless of my biased opinion. Just dont duel with a thin neck neopixel

i recently got a cal kestis replica but im having a hard time keeping the blade in perfectly, it likes to slightly slip out so either the blade will freeze or just turn off mid swing. idk if i just have a faulty blade or if im doing something wrong
and the hilt is the exact same as in the video(different electronics but the identical exterior) it uses 2 pins on each side and I do find it work better with only having the top 2 in tightly and the bottom 2 just in slightly. if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it
Make sure you’re pushing the blade all the way down (not with too much force) but make sure it’s making contact with the Neopixel connectors.
Use them all screws both sides.
If that does not solve the issue contact our customer support and we will be happy to help or arrange a replacement :)

to anyone in the comments that has experience with lightsaber companies or the all-knowing lightsaber god Tuhqa I have just one question. I just bought my first ever lightsaber from Art Sabers. (anakin ep 3 proffie) After watching this video I noticed that this saber has the same sound fonts as mine even though they from different companies. I do vaguely remember reading somewhere that some of these companies are resellers, and if that is true are they all these companies selling the same product. like if i were to buy a replica lightsaber from padawan outpost would it be the same as dark wolf saber/artsaber?

The list goes on and on. Some of these companies will have more options to choose from as well but they all still resell TXQ and or LGT. Some places sell more TXQ than LGT and some sell more LGT than TXQ. Both TXQ, and LGT are the primary companies who mass produce these sabers and currently TXQ is the better pick. The saber in this video is a TXQ - which can be more easily identified when you see a 2 button Proffie saber set up and a more accurate hilt. LGT currently only uses a one button setup and the hilts are less accurate.
You can go a step further into 89sabers as well. 89sabers is a higher end mass produced version of these hilts but are also commonly resold at other places such as:

My one just arrived and its not the same. The Button is not black the end looks difrent and the case is not the same (i ordert the same one)
I just got my 89sabers "Survivor" pre installed proffie hilt from ccsabers (89sabers), and I noticed there's a little rattle/give/wobble between the grip and the switch-emitter section when shaking or swinging it back and forth. It seems to be right at the connecting point of the grip to the switch emitter section. Is this normal, or is there something to be done to make it tight and have no rattle when swinging it?
I have the same one and mine doesnt have that. I would definitely hit CC up and let them know!
@@TuhqaI figured it out! It’s the Allen screws under the greeblies in the center switch section. There’s 3 on each side. Instantly fixed the issue
