If you're flying all in 1 day to Southeast Asia I'd defo recommend flying with Qatar Airways because they offer a stopover program in Doha for 1,2 or 3 nights and you get a 4-star hotel included its as low as 10 pounds per person per night (or you can pay like 30-50 pounds per person for 5 star hotel or 5 star beach resorts) and it's good because it's another country to explore and breaks up the long flights all the way to Asia !! We booked just a 1 one night stopover so we have 2 days to explore Doha on our way to Singapore and it was 13 pound extra (4 star hotel included) than if we were to go straight onto our second flight :) So now our flights are 6 hours, 2 days of exploring and then 9 hours flight !!!
I've just got back from 10 weeks in Thailand and Cambodia I recommend going Thailand: Bangkok, kranchanburi Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Pai (north) Khao sok national park, patong (for a crazy night) ao nang, railey beach, koh phi phi, koh samui, koh phangan (full moon) koh Tao and koh lak (south) Cambodia: siem reap, Phnom Penh, koh rong samelom, kampot, krong battambang. I would recommend maybe 2 weeks in Cambodia
I’d recommend Phuket in Thailand!! I went for 18 days in Dec 2021 but got covid the day before I flew back, so extended my visa and ended up coming back in feb😅 it’s definitely only somewhere you need a couple of days, as there’s so many islands around to visit! But I’d recommend koh khai nok, banana beach, kata beach (or any on the west coast for a gorgeous sunset), and patong for a night out is crazy!! Everything in Phuket is also so cheap!!
