911 Owner Stories: Loren and his 996 GT3

- Loren Buggs' 996 GT3 has racked up around 19,000 miles and boasts no modifications (with AC and ceramic breaks the only options it possesses). Amongst his 10-Porsche strong collection, he also owns the 2004 996 RSR Flying Lizard’s number 45. Between running a Porsche service business, racing Porsche Cup cars, and winning the Pirelli Trophy Cup four times, Loren pretty much only has time to eat, sleep and dream of all things Porsche. Here is his story.

Unpopular opinion: 996 Facelift is one of the best looking 911
Agreed!
THE Best one.
Same here. Really modernized the brand. They're my personal favorite.
Even more unpopular opinion in 2024: 996.1 headlights are cooler than the .2 ones lol
IMO the 996.2 aged really well (didn‘t like it then but own one now 🙈)
That 996 Porsche is a beauty
Good job Porsche!
Not many manufacturers offer such a level of performance with and emotional driving experience, during so many generations.
I hope Porsche keep going creating machines that have a huge emotional bond between driver and car.
Best regards
The 996 GT3 is a fantastic car. I had one for 12 years and really miss it.
Absolutely love 996
Very raw machine with Porsche purity !!! Beautiful!!
Just bought a 996 MK II GT3 Clubsport. What a joy to drive 👌😍
Such a beautiful machine. Porsche never fails to up their game, especially the ‘22 GT3, but I sure love the small size and simplicity of the 996.
I love these stories, please keep doing them!
This GT3 is WILD
Wooooow such an amazing and beautiful story of Porsche passion from the bottom to the top of the Porsche motorsport ladder. Definitely brought a tear to this mans eye :') ♥️. Cheers for sharing, both Porsche and the owner
Great video. He sounds in his 20's. I guess Porsche's keep you young too ;)
Great video, Loren! Glad to see a veteran POC member on Porsche AG's video. Well done, Loren. Btw, like you, I used to frequent that Vasek Polak dealer in Hermosa when I was a kid. I loved seeing that 917 on the showcase floor.
Thank you very much!
The very first GT3 was in 1999, the dream of many people.
THAT'S PASSION!
So CoooooooooL 996GT3!!
One day I will have a 996 GT3! :)
porshe cars are amazing . I wish if i could had one of them
K
migang kaman porsChe
I hope that we will be able to get 1
Get a first gen boxster. Relatively cheap, still a flat six, mid engine, still a Porsche. Who cares about the headlights. Slap an exhaust on it and boom! Don’t believe me check my video ;)
996: the unappreciated stepchild of the 911 family
With the best sound
What a story. I wish to have this story very soon. It’s a lifestyle!
I love this car, Porsche makes great cars!
Loren and the team at 911 Designs maintain my '19 Carrera T, '15 Cayenne Turbo, and will be taking care of my Cayman GT4 as well. Great shop!
996.1 GT3 in speed yellow would be a dream car in my stable.
❤️
Apparently the engine is not accessible on the new 911 models! So you cant take it to your local mechanics to change the carburettors or the distrubutor!
This must be a joke right?
@@slideways8022 why would it be a joke?
recon forsales cars nowadays use electronic fuel injection and coils
Regardless, the engine is not accessible! This is undermining local mechanics or DIY mechanics that they cannot fix Porsche cars.
recon forsales it’s not held on by magic, find the right screws you can take the cover off
Poor 996 😔
You can feature me and my 981 Cayman GT4 💪🏼😀
Porsche fan
Do they know that my 2019 brand new made in Slovakia Cayenne has got 5 production defects in less than 10 month?
Of course they know...they just can’t face it😊
I don’t think 911 people and Porsche care about your Touareg
996 gt3 o 996 turbo??
Gt3
sweet! @996revival on IG... these cars are awesome
