@@kristinas5714 im using neutragena fragrance free body oil and Cetaphil daily facial cleanser for my double cleanse. I follow that up with The Ordinary's niacinamide and Cetaphil's rich hydrating cream. Once I use those up though, I'm just gonna switch to a moisturizer that has niacinamide instead of doing it in two steps. Ive been using differen every other night but it'll soon be every night. During the day I use La Roche Posays melt in sunscreen milk (holy crap this sunscreen is awesome). Hope this helps!!

Vanicream really helped to repair my skin barrier, I struggled with redness for years and am now able to go foundation free!

So true about the vanicream cream. It saved my son’s skin. His eczema was so painful and it would ooze horribly. After spending hundreds of dollars, Vanicream and theraplex were the only creams that worked for him.

I’ve been using the Vanicream Tub for years now! I had eczema and this is the only lotion that did not irritate or inflame my skin further. It’s also the only lotion I use on my face because it’s fragrance free and has no irritants. Hands down- my ride or die lotion for sensitive skin. 👍🏼🙂

It would be nice to give a skin care routine for over seventy, we do still care about our skin. I do use curolgy and moisturizer.
I use Vanicream's facial cleanser and love it. It's the best every day cleanser that actually removes eye makeup, even waterproof eyeliner. My skin feels clean but still soft and not stripped.
The vanicream cleanser also containt coco and mica on it, is it can be a devil for people with acne? Just tried it today but im nervouse it can broke me out 🥺 is the moisturizer from vanicream good for acne?

I'm from Minnesota, too, but living unhappily in the South. I miss Minnesota Nice. Most folks there are reserved, but gentle and polite. Favorite state!

Vanicream just saved me from a terrible rash! I developed an allergy/contact dermatitis to Eucerin Intensive Repair lotion and a rash blossomed on my chest, shoulders, and upper arms - all the skin areas I used that lotion on. Vanicream is just as moisturizing as the Eurcerin so I'm very happy with it!
Cerave definitely changed their formulas once L'Oreal took them over. I used their moisturizers forever, until one day I got a new bottle of the AM and the ingredients were in a different order and some others were added/missing. My skin was not happy! I just picked some of this up from Walgreens along with their cleanser and I can't wait to try them! I use tretinoin and I've been trying to find a nice simple routine to compliment it. Right now I'm using an aloe based skincare line, but some of the 'botanicals' in their formulas are causing me irritation and red flare ups.
Oh, yay! I love the Vanicream body cream (the tub with the pump). I actually find it more softening than the CeraVe moisturizing cream. I use the CeraVe on my face. Both contain quite a bit of product that lasts some time. I would have never considered purchasing either item before watching your recommendations. Since working the pandemic as an ICU worker I feel like my skin has suffered tremendously, but these basic and inexpensive products help.
My daughter gets big, hard, red welts from little mosquito bites. We discovered that if we can get a bit of hydrocortisone ointment on the bites soon after they happen, we can prevent those welts altogether. Always love your videos, Dr. Dray!
I’m oily, acne-prone (used to be very, very oily. Now only lean a little to the oily side), and I’ve NEVER had issues with Squalane by itself or in anything. I never understood the warnings for us. With that said, I really like the vanicream daily moisturizer 😁
The daily facial moisturizer is my absolute favorite I have dry acne prone skin and it works so good!
I'm a huge fan of vanicream-free and clear products. I actually think the lite lotion from vanicream is greasier, but I love the thicker cream and vanicream ointment. I work in healthcare and using the ointment has saved my hands from cracking and bleeding.
Amazon is selling their brand, Solimo, as a dupe for the Vanicream. I’d be very interested in your opinion. While Vanicream is not terribly expensive, the Solimo is significantly less.
Vanicream is made in the USA. Solimo stuff is made in China. I wouldn't touch it.
I got Solimo and its a standard moisturizer. I dont trust it on my face tho so I use it on my neck, hands and body. It works as a moisturizer should. I never put it on my face tho like I said cause I dont have 100% trust on Amazon brands. I doubt Amazon does it's intensive research on ingredients and doesn't think too much about the individual buyer's specific skin conditions. Its just a cheap product to sell. It does work tho.

I actually bought it based on this video. I must say it is thicker than cerave cream and it took time for it to sink in on my skin though.

@@eldericnoble9761 I didn't like the vanicream in the tub, too oily and it sits on my skin. I got me vanicream in the bottle with a pump on Amazon and love it, still using it till this date. It's a lighter version but sinks into the skin and moisturizers.

My favorite product by them is the moisturizing cream, it’s literally my holy grail! So soothing for both oily and severely dry skin. I used to have oily skin before I got on accutane, loved it then and love it now. I now use it on my accutane treatment for really dry skin 😁♥️

That's why I don't like Cerave because of the niacinamides, but I absolutely love the new vanicream for sensitive skin.. my favorite moisturizer ever!
When I used cerave that had it in it then I realized my skin does not like niacinamide and I’ve fully switched to vanicream.
My forehead used to get SO itchy all the time when I used my cetaphil moisturizer. Switching to vanicream was a God sent and the itch magically went away. No irritation at all. It’s a little heavy, but who cares!🙂🤗

you have already got me hooked on Vanicream! I love it. FYI, I was getting really bad razor pimples under the pits (I live in AZ and the heat has been terrible so lots of sweating!) so I started using Vanicream deodorant and Panoxyl. Worked perfect and still using!

Hi Dr. Dray! Thanks to you I have over-hauled my face skin care routine and threw out all the expensive 12 step procedures I was using. Very simplified now and cheaper and most importantly less irritating on my 69 year old skin. Thank you!!!
Recently I’m suffering contact dermatitis from mask wearing 😷. I changed my face wash to Vanicream Gentle face wash (you recommended it in one of the sensitive skin/ skin rash videos). It works well! I’m always looking for a face wash without sulfate. I combine this with the big tub Vanicream cream. I can feel the dermatitis was gradually calming down. Thank you DR. Dray for recommending this!

I bought both the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream and the Vanicream Moisturizing Cream after watching your videos. I like them both but sometimes the CeraVe does make my skin red at which point I switch to the other one. I also use the the Vanicream under my eyes. It is the best for me I think but they are both great and very affordable. Thanks so much for your information. I am so glad to find face creams that are affordable and don't make my skin irritated/red. Hope your Mom is doing well.

Allie Brad once I learned to stop using soap allover the body and only to specific areas and apply moisturizer immediately after showering while skin is still wet didn’t take long to see a big difference. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Cerave gives me hard knots on my chin. So does the Cerave sunscreen. I love the Vanicream-even the tub one doesn’t break me out.

Vanicream moisturizing cream is the BEST; it is my daily moisturizer and I always put it on while my skin is damp. Vanicream was also my saving grace during a bad eczema breakout a few years back and I just continued to use it. Thank you Dr. Dray!

I use the Vanicream Moisturizing Cream in the tub on my 1 year for his dry skin (I am in Arizona, so very dry here) and it is the only thing that helped his eczema/dry patches!

I will say, That vanicream moisturizer I only use when I visit Colorado cause it’s the only state where it absorbs. I do live in south east Florida which is a very different climate

@@wydmatt7294 so far so good!! No irritation or breakouts. I think it’s actually doing wonders at repairing barrier damage. My skin still feels smooth and amazing even after washing it off the next day.

I am a dermatologist nightmare cause everything doesn't go with my skin. I have seen some who say "I have never had anyone have an issue" and lord and behold I react. I use vanicream lotion on my body and love it. I recently bought the Vanicream daily facial moisturizer and no issues. I haven't reacted or anything. So I will continue to use it. I recommend. I have eczema so I can't have any crazy ingredients.
Thank you dr dray for making me aware of this company. I’ve recently bought almost all of their products and only use vanicream accept for the cerave sa smoothing cleanser and my skin especially my face hasn’t felt and looked so good in my life.
i actually called CeraVe and they did change the formula by several ingredients in December 2018

Ordered this and received last week but I’ve been waiting on your review lol. I am 35 and have acne prone skin and on Tretinoin. I keep worrying that this may clog my pores bc it happens soooo easily on my skin plus I’ve never used anything heavy on squalane. Working up the courage to use it and hoping it helps my skin rather than causing breakouts. Fingers crossed!

I’m also 35, have been through the ringer with my skin since I was super young. I bought The Ordinary Squalane and wanted to love it after reading how great it was everywhere but it just made me even more oily. Even the CeraVe Renewing SA cleanser makes me oily and I breakout more. It’s so frustrating.

I remember I came across vanicream back in 2015 ,when I started taking my skin care 😊routine seriously, and till now I m their regular user,it's an excellent product for sensitive skin with no fragrance, now waiting for their spf 50 to come back in the market
I used Cerave PM for the first few months of this year. I began getting those white bumps (milia?) on my cheeks. Then, my face started burning etc. I bought an Olay SPF. product for Normal skin. It also burned. Then I noticed that the difference between the normal and sensitive versions was...niacinamide.
So, I just dropped money for a super jar of Neutragena at Costco. However, I will definitely try this Vanicream facial moisturizer.
I guess the only anti aging product my face will tolerate is SPF 50.
I got a HORRIBLE reaction on my face after using this moisturizer with hyaluronic acid. A week ago, I purchased this product, and on the third day of using it, I had a severe reaction or allergy on almost my entire face. It's super irritated, red, and swollen. I had to make an appointment with a dermatologist, which is tomorrow. I have never had a problem with my skin before, and I'm very worried about it.
That lip spf is where it’s at. I use that and the elta md daily and their the best
Vaniply/cream ointment worked better than anything else for my extremely dry lips while I was on accutane. Highly recommend, I agree!

Vanicream is the only thing that took away my eczema and I have tried many creams.
Thank you Dr. Dray for mentioning that some of us get a burning, stinging reaction to Cerave. I am one of those who just cannot use it.I tried it once a few years ago and that was enough. My skin seems to react to a lot of things, I have to be very careful with my skin care. I just finally discovered the Vanicream facial moisturizer! It is wonderful. My skin loves it because there is nothing in it to irritate my skin. So far I am using it day and night. I love it!
Idk why cerave sting around my nose. May be it is the niacinamide. THAT vanicream moisturizer and body wash is everything. I'm soooooo happy I found this. And at walgreens.

I'm going to try vanicream. I have tried many products over the years and my skin is so sentiment to anything. I quit wearing makeup and using any product on my skin except mild soap and water for two years and it is in better shape than it has been in a long time.

I bought the Vanicream lip SPF a month or so ago on your recommendation and I love it. I put it on right after I brush my teeth in the morning and then again after lunch and I spread it way around my lips onto the skin as well for an extra layer of protection. It's such a great product. Thank you for that recommendation!
So excited to try this out. Vanicream is amazing! Cerave unfortunately makes my face ruddy and then my skin tone overall looks darker.

The cream is a bit thick so I use on my hands before bed. I haven't seen the lip spf in stores yet, but would love to try that next

Can you please make a video on how to take care of curly hair? Is gel bad for your hair, cause curly hair people need gel to make there hair not look frizzy and poofy
There are a lot of gels without drying alcohols and whatnot that should be fine for the hair :) The issue is that a lot of them touch my face and break me out. I know Vanicream(Free&Clear) and a brand called Fragfree make fragrance free gels available on amazon. I'm going to try those out soon and hopefully they dont bother my skin as much. I would like to see a video about this as well.

There are a lot of curly hair channels out there, maybe look into those. There is the curly girl method, and the LOC/LCO method for styling after the wash that you may want to look into!
If you want a natural gel, you could also look into making a homemade flaxseed gel. It works really well! There are many videos on RUclips about it. Naptural85 has one as well as many others. Just look up flaxseed gel for hair. All you need are flaxseeds and water. ☺️

Started using the Vanicream Facial Moisturizer in the morning and it really absorbs very easily. Am going to get the Vanicream Moisturizing Cream for winter because of its occlusive quality.

Phew! Glad to get your thumbs up. I just ordered it. I love the Vanicream Cream in a tub too - for body and face... I'm in the camp that the Gentle Cleanser is on the dry side but it works beautifully as a second cleanser after my nightly oil cleanse. This line has been a savior for me - lip products, the bar soap and body cleanser too. Wish their sunscreens liked me. I guess you can't win 'em all. Side note: I hope you return to Cleure. Curious about their dry skin cleanser and moisturizer.

Oh my gosh I love the Vanicream ointment. Its one of the few things I can put on my neck and face and it doesnt feel icky. I also use the lip SPF ... I like the way it makes my lips look white.

Thanks for reviewing this, Dr. Dray! Vanicream is my favorite skincare brand because I do not tolerate niacinamide very well. I can't wait to try out this new moisturizer. I usually use the Vanicream lotion or the CeraVe body lotion for my face, which works well, but this looks like something I could try! Thank you!
CeraVe pm broke me out so I’m guessing it was the niacinamide. I’ve been using Vanicream and it has been amazing!
I feel good...I am not the only one that niacinamide hate...straight up whiteheads and bumps all over!!! Dont know what I did to him...lol
Cerave is also loaded with fatty alcohols, and they love to put coconut derived caprylic triglyceride high up on their ingredients, which can cause problems for people sensitive to coconut derivatives. Any creams Cerave makes break me out horribly and irritate my rosacea. I’m a way bigger fan of Vanicream, Cetaphil, and Eucerin. ❤️

I tried the Vanicream cleanser based on your recommendation and really did not enjoy the experience of using it, nor the way my skin faired afterward. It's simply not for me. Thanks for the video, anyway, Dr. Dray - I hope you and your Mom are doing as well as you can!
