I just feel this was the generation where puzzle games FINALLY became the handheld markets thing, which is odd when you think of it, but I also just can't imagine taking up my tv with something I could be playing on a portable while watching tv...
That is a very valid point. While I had a blast with these on the GameCube, playing these on a handheld would feel more at home in a sense. Funny enough, pretty much all of these games had a GBA port as well! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Every single one if these look really fun. I'm partial to any Puyo Puyo game but some of these games look like they could give that a run for its money. Another excellent video showcasing games I've never seen before.
Super awesome video, GameCube Galaxy. Scorpio cesArcade sent me. Out of all the puzzle games on GameCube, Bust-A-Move 3000 is my favorite. Keep up the awesome content 🤠👍🏼
Thank you man!! Cesar is an awesome dude, and appreciate him sharing the channel with you! Bust-A-Move 3000 is a blast, and just as addictive as ever! Glad you enjoyed the video man!
Zoocube is an insane game but don't be fooled... it's a really cool game! Thanks for the upload! Always love seeing dedicated gamecube content pieces continue to come out!
Wasn’t even aware of some of these till now. EggMania, Worms Blast and Puyo Puyo all seem worthy of adding into the collection! Hopefully they’re not fetching too high of price. Awesome video again Marcello!
Glad you learned about several of these! Worms Blast, Egg Mania and Puyo Pop are still all reasonably affordable, so now’s a good time to get them! Thanks for checking out the video man, and glad you enjoyed it!!
Super Bubble Pop is one I've never heard of. I knew you would love the soundtrack with the techno. That's really cool too that you can select different characters and they have different special abilities. I've never seen it in person, but if I do I'll be sure to snag this puzzler. Great showcase of puzzle games, GCG.
It’s definitely a really neat puzzle game, and it’s wild that it released even on the PS1 too! Definitely worth getting, especially how cheap it is. Thanks for checking out the video man!!
Thank you, Brandi! Glad you really enjoyed it, and that it brought back memories playing several of these with your cousins! Bust-A-Move is a classic 👍.
@@Owazrim it’s definitely heavily inspired by Bubble Bobble/Bust-A-Move, but love how they added the Worms elements into it 👍. Highly recommend it! Thanks for checking out the video man!
It’s an addictive puzzle game for sure! Honestly, I love that pretty much all of these games have a GBA port as well 👍. Thanks for checking out the video!
12:00 The Japanese, Korean and PAL versions of Bust-A-Move 3000 do contain a 4-Player mode. They also have a "Shoot Bubble" mode as well, where different coloured bubbles slowly fall down the screen and you have to shoot them all with their corresponding colour before they reach the bottom, similar to Missile Command. I recommend either the Japanese or Korean version (both called Super Puzzle Bobble All Stars), since they run in 60hz. The only difference between the two is that the Japanese version is mostly in English, while the Korean version is entirely in English.
Kuruin Squash is my favorite puzzle game on the GC , so many coins and helirin to collect. While not a dedicated puzzle game the mini game Puzzle Kombat in mortal Kombat deception is pretty fun and reminds me a lot of puzzle fighter which is technically playable on the GC if you have the GB Player.
100% agreed! Kirstin Squadh is such a great game, and still wish it released in North America! Ah, that is true about Puzzle Kombat in Deception! Thanks for checking out the video!
Love Puyo Puyo and Tetris! I think most (If not all) of these games have GBA ports. The GBA ports feel like if those games were made for SNES or Genesis instead (Which is the case for lots of games that were released on both consoles and GBA). Oddly enough the GBA, PC and PS2 versions of Tetris Worlds has a different art style compared to the Xbox and GameCube versions as they were made by different developers. There might be a reason why Radical's Xbox and GameCube port of Tetris Worlds has a different art style.
Correct! Pretty much everything here did have a GBA port of sorts! Yeah, I heard the PS2 version was a different developer, and didn’t realize they were essentially a bit different. I find that fascinating honestly! Thanks for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Honestly Tetris Worlds and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 are the only games that I could think of that are extremely different on GameCube and Xbox vs. PS2. Usually PS2 ports are lower resolution, graphical quality and most of the time, frame rate due to the power differences of PS2 vs. GameCube vs. Xbox. But a PS2 port being different from the GameCube and Xbox ports is insane and that's before most PS2 ports are lower-end versions of Wii games or upressed PSP games compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions during the PS2's final years being seen as a budget game system.
Odd Zoocube wasn’t a GameCube exclusive like the name gives it away but it came out on PS2 which it’s just weird like Zoocube and GameCube just mix doesn’t it

Zoocube and Egg Mania deserve a lot more love than they get. Thank you for including them!
Agreed! Both are definitely really good games! Thanks for checking out the video!

Zoocube really is a good one! Wish I played that one much sooner! Glad you enjoyed the video man, and appreciate the support!!

The first game looks incredible
Zoocube is such a good game! Highly recommend it! Thanks for checking out the video!
The worms game looks sweet. I didn't know it existed. I love a good puzzle game
Worms Blast is definitely a really good one, and still on the cheap side! Thanks for checking out the video man!!
The worms game looked like a clone of bubble bobble but wow the tweaks and additions look like a lot of fun.

Dude you just unlocked a memory in my brain lol zoocube was a game my neighbor had had and it was like the only game he had lol
Heck yeah man! Such a good game honestly! That's funny it was the only game he had lol. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Puyo Pop Fever is pretty much my go-to GBA game.
It’s an addictive puzzle game for sure! Honestly, I love that pretty much all of these games have a GBA port as well 👍. Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video. My collection is definitely missing some puzzle games. I especially want to try Egg Mania!
Thank you man! Egg Mania is such a hidden gem for sure, and highly recommend it!

I suddenly have the urge to buy Tetris on the GameCube and it totally isn’t because of that Tetris Narrator!
Haha not at all 🤣! In all seriousness though, it’s still as addictive to play as ever, and cheap! Thanks for checking out the video man!
