Skillet - Comatose Tutorial

READ THIS!!!
I just listened to "Comatose" for the first time in a long time...and I don't know what I was thinking, but the way I've been playing it - the way it appears on my cover and here in this tutorial - is slightly off. As a result, take this tutorial with a grain of salt...it very well may be quite incorrect.
