Yayyyyy ... charcoal fried char kway teow with duck egg is the BEST !! The fragrance of the wok ( "wok hei" in Chinese ) made the noodles extra SEDAAAAAP. Happy to see you going around Malaysia, trying food from different states. Great job, Chu. Enjoy your SEDAAAAAP tour.
SEDAPPPPP~~ 🙆♂️👍

You're friendly to everyone and that make everyone comfortable with you 😁
The charcoal smell and taste with the wok is what Chinese called as “wok hei”. Food is always more sedap with “wok hei” 💯 And you’re lucky to come to Penang during weekday because it is crazy on weekends
Chu Bro Later you can try to open a char kue teaw and laksa food stall in Korea. I watch a lot of Korean youtubers who like laksa.👌👌👌
Since you've tried Char Kueh Teow, you can also try the Penang Mee Goreng Mamak and Kueh Teow Goreng Basah. You should be able to see how different the fried noodles dish are by the 3 major ethnicities in Malaysia. Enjoy Chu Bro!😋👌
Thank you for the suggestion!👍😊🙏
Ho Ho Ji-ak!!! 😆 I love Penang Cha kway teow!

The coffee and roti bakar with kaya also nice here
Chu Bro, just for your info , Ho Sek is in Cantonese (ho = Good, sek = eat), Sedap in Malay, Ho Jiak - Hokkien (Ho = Good, Jiak = Eat)
Because in the old times,
mostly Cantonese people are staying in KL, that's why Ho Ho Sek is Cantonese dialect
while in Penang are mostly Hokkien, and Ho Jiak is Hokkien dialect.
Thank you for letting me know!👍😊
@@chubro Chu bro is learning dialects now? WoW 😁
Since you are in Penang, do go try these food as well:

Am glad that you got to taste the authentic Penang CKT. Nothing beats the smoky flavor.
Penang really have the best char kway teow in the whole wide world 🤗😋
Hi Chu Bro, 'Ho Ho Sek' is Cantonese Language, 'Ho Jiak" is Hokkien Language.
In addition, Ho = Good, u can also say 'Ho Ho Jiak', it also mean very delicious
Thank you is pronounced
Xie xie ni in Mandarin Chinese
Kam Sia in Hokkien Chinese
Stay longer and enjoy in Penang to explore more type of nice food.

So so yummy!🤤😋🙆🤤😋
Wow! Near my mother's house in Penang! Been eating Ah Soon's CKT for more than 10 years now. Always have it when I'm back in Penang. Should try out the rice porridge next door too!
Traditional ways of using charcoal for cooking is very hard to find. Kway teow tung, can be call as kway teow soup. Kway teow is just another type of noodles, like korea got udon, somen..etc if fish ball + kway teow = fish ball kway teow soup. Dont just eat, since u are there do a travell vlog too. Penang got many nice place to visit, penang hill will give u a very nice night view. Enjoy ur trip.
hank you for your advice✌️
Ho Ho Ho Ho Jiak! you make me happy and hungry again..Bro Chu 😁

Chu bro so cute .I'm goin to Penang on the 7th.now I cant wait to eat char kuey teow!🤤
Hi Chu.
In northern part of Malaysia, mostly the Chinese people over there speaks Hokkien dialect....and when you wanted to say thank you...you say 'KAMSIA'. Like Korean says KAMSIA HAMIDA.
And for delicious....you say 'HO CHIAK'.
Anyway....do enjoy your staying in Penang.
Wow specially when the char Kuey teow is cook on the charcoal means it is delicious. I love char kuey teow too. Can’t wait to try it when I come to Penang

Hi Chu, Penang is the best char kuih tiaw . Enjoy your food. 👍😋😁
wahhh this is amzing
This is my first time i watch your video. I already love it.
Kamsahamnida 🙆🏻♂️🙏
I like your idea of char kueh teoh tour !
Tried the Penang fried carrot cake aka koay kak 😊
Ho Jiak is Hokkien dialect meaning sedap.
Ho Jiak is enough. Just like in cantonese Hou Sek or malay sedap. Hou hou sek or sedap gila was an expression of very tasty. In Penang Hokkien saying ho ho jiak is a little weird. You can say SIPEK HO JIAK instead.
Ho Jiak = Delicious in Fujian dialect (widely spoken in Penang). Ho Ho Jiak = VERY Delicious. Ho Sek = Delicious in Cantonese dialect (widely spoken in KL/Ipoh). THNG = Soup in Fujian dialect. Enjoy your videos. Keep it up!
Funny Chu 🤣
Original char kuey tiaw from penang is always dry version...but when malay cooked it became wet and gravy...sometimes i hope can try halal dried char kuey tiaw 😁😁...its so hard to find in my place...the different word 'sedap' in chinese is because they got so many ethnic too...in penang i guess there are many hokkien people right?and the rest is all around malaysia...like hakka, teochew and many more...so different people with different dialect....same like korean too....every district has different dialect...for example, busan vs daegu
ask chinese to cook in halal way is possible, but the taste is not original
@@FcMohammed1122 thats it...because the original taste is from pork lard and sausage right??nevermind i just hoping one day i can eat the dried version but halal ...😁
@@alongshushu pork lad ya but sausage is not important, it juz a replacement of cockles due to some time ago government discourage people to eat cockle because of health issue so chinese replace it with sausage. its not necessary nor law enforced, they juz listened to government and adapt to it. in kedah alor star, alots of malay doin dried halal version and if u dont mind i can bring u a little tour hahaha. btw im chinese and i used to eat malay foods
@@FcMohammed1122 oo..i thought sausage is one of original ingredients in char kuey tiaw...
@@alongshushu adapted version and its cooking in tis way like 20yrs already, cockles is more flavourful and juicy when u cheww wit koay teow, sausage juz an alternative and not good as cockles to me hehe
cute chu bro

Nice. You should try other nice Char Kway Teow stalls around Penang. Waiting for your next video Chu Bro👍
Hi Chu welcome to Penang
so cute and entertaining
In KL, many Chinese are from Cantonese descents, so that's why they say "Ho Sek", in Penang, many Chinese are from Hokkien (Fujian) descents, so that's why they say "Ho Chiak".
Their ancestors came from different part of China, so different dialect, same like Korean, Seoul dialect maybe different from Busan or Pyongyang dialect, something like that.
Hi Chu bro… will u come to Ipoh too? Come try beansprout chicken with noodle, curry noodles and dim sum!
Chu Bro🇰🇷 "The sambal Man"

@chu bro Hello Chu bro, KL Ho Ho Sek is commonly used by Cantonese dialect people, while Penang Ho Jiak is commonly used by Hokkien dialect people. The difference is dialect of the Chinese people. Hope this helps😊
