The mee goreng is good ONLY if the boss fry it. His assistant didn't fry it long enough to get the Wok Hei taste out. I used to go to Bangkok Lane regularly until he decided to pass the cooking to someone else. This situation happens to other Haniff mee goreng sellers in Jelutong Market and Mee Sotong in Esplanade. The actual owner in the Jelutong market is now frying it himself. The Esplanade mee sotong quality and taste dropped so much the last time I went. It's usually the second generation that degrades the quality and tastes sadly.
