Hahaha story of our lives. I buy everything on steep sales just to not miss out. The backlog is ever growing but enjoy tackling one at a time. Once you realize u will never beat them all u will be fine
I don't think I have ever identified with a video more. EVER. That's all I'm gonna say. Wow. You earned a sub today, thank the algorithm for this find!
I think this mindset can be good for single-player story driven games; maybe not as good for multiplayer stuff like Marvel Rivals, Hell Divers 2 etc, since it can be fun to be present during "tentpole" hype moments in gaming culture
You know what? Throughout the entire process of making this video, I don't think I ever stopped to consider how multiplayer experiences factor into it. I primarily play single-player games, but I love co-op experiences. Definitely an oversight on my part. I appreciate the input!
I beat 1 game last year. I promise you that I bought WAY more than 1. The worst part is I really like every game that I drop. My issue is that once I drop a game, good luck getting me back. I would like to think that I'll buckle down one day and finish games, but I just don't know. I'm going to really try to finish games before buying new ones. Or, at least, not buy every new one. Like you, there are some games I'm 100% buying this year (looking at you Monster Hunter Wilds!), so I should make sure I'm not filling up on of bunch of other games just because the sale price is good. No matter how low the price, it's still wasted money if I never even launch the game. And knowing me, I'll find a new game I want to play before I go to my recent 5 that I purchased at a great price. So, this year's plan is to stick to 2 games at a time in between big releases. One single player game, one multiplayer "filler" (not the best word here, but I basically mean a game that doesn't have an end. Marvel Rivals is that game right now) game for when I don't want to have to focus on a story. I'll end up dropping both of them when a big release hits. Solo grind the big release until my brain wants more variety. Reintroduce the multiplayer game that I'm currently grinding. Finish big release and then move back to those smaller single player releases. This train of thought really got away from me here! Here's to us finishing more games and saving more of our money in 2025!
Oh, as soon as I have three or more games going at once, everything beyond two ends up getting ignored haha. Even one game is pushing it sometimes. I’m currently trying to clean things up a bit and get back to just two. Which means I’m basically pushing hard on a single game before I forget what’s happening in the others completely! 😂
I usually have 2 games that I play at the same time one being more text heavy and serious for when I have enough mental energy and a quick and more gameplay focused for the days that I'm to tired to think. For example right now I'm playing NieR: Automata and Dead Cells. Sorry if there are any mistakes in the writing, english is not my firts language.
Bought Slime Rancher 2. Playing it now. Bought DLC for Rift Breaker. Thats probably staying backlog for a bit, but ALL of the games I buy these days has become "install and play 5 minutes, pick one and finish them if they aren't EA." Discipline takes time. There are games like Starsector or Terraria that I revisit for extended amounts of time. Dont chase fomo or sales, play whats good and thats that
Oh boy. There I was thinking I could clear the games I bought because I got the steam deck with me all the time. A little bit of Monster Hunter Rise, Black Myth Wukong, Outlast Trials, etc. and a sprinkle of indie games like 30XX, Darkwood, Gravity Circuit, Berserk boy, etc. and a bunch of emulated and quacked games XD
Terraria is definitely the enemy of all other games for me, too lol. I've already beaten it more times than I can remember, I think this year I'll try to step away from it a bit and try some of the many, many games I've bought on sale and never touched
I recently purchased Balatro and the rest of the games in my steam library that "I'll get to one day I promise" watch as I put in another 3 hours on the silly card game

Finished 10 out of 400 games. Back to playing the same couple games again 😂
So. True.
It hurts when you see a game your purchases go o. Sale for like 10 bucks or goes free and you haven’t touched it I. Like a year lol
It really makes you ask yourself some uncomfortable questions, huh? 😂

I’m so glad to hear that!

lol i bought like 20 games in the past couple months. i have a problem
It’s so hard to resist the temptation sometimes!
Trials of Mana was an incredible game!!!! Hope ur enjoying it!
It was actually my very first experience with the series! One day, I would love to play Visions of Mana too. One day 🥲
@IntentionalBrandon Visions is also good, but personally I enjoyed Trials better!
I don't see any problem here :D
I appreciate your support 😂

Ohhh, great choices!
Cancel notifications/subscriptions and don't look at sales. You won't be tempted if you don't know about it.

And I have now made the mistake of learning about Starsector 😂 Temptation everywhere you look!

Yeah, I don’t know if I’d get through even half as many without my Steam Deck. I wish us both luck 😂

Hahaha another has fallen to Balatro, I see!
