As much as I want to agree with you, I feel in this case he was more scared shitless but did not learn a thing before meeting St. Peter. We've truly raised a generation of people who just do not learn, even seconds before death.
The Darwin award was a good lesson. Not only did the "shooter" attempt to de-escalate, and back up, but he showed that he tried everything to NOT shoot.
@@waltergladden15 Oh i saw it too my Dude. That was cool but the outcome was unwanted. The flashbang was intended and worked flawlesly. That's why i prefer the later. Take care.
Your comment doesn't make sense, you misspelled "brooch" (jewelry usually made of silver or gold ("gold" from "comedy gold" part of your comment, but I don't know how "comedy" works in this situation)), and jewelry doesn't scream. Can you explain what you meant?

I know the defense in the last clip is probably shocked that he actually had to put a round in his attacker, but I cant stop chuckling at how he seems to stand there like "huh...whelp...that sucks" as the other dude is rolling around in agony.
Yesh. Watching waste of skin stiffen up and whine like that after being such a big tough guy seconds before will always be comedy gold. Straight out of a cartoon. Kudos to the guy with a gun who still called for medical help and reported what happened.
"We don't have a gun problem, we have a crippling culture problem" This is extremely true. It's not a gun problem it's a people problem. The firearm is a tool, nothing more. The person behind it gives the gun its purpose, whether it be hunting, sport shooting, self-defense etc. It's like blaming a pencil for making a spelling mistake.
That's exactly why usa needs a system to control who should be able to own a gun or not. Just some papers and controls about psy state. If americans want to keep their guns they need to accept some form of control. It would greatly help their cause.
@@mpauls85 it’s the same as if you hand a hammer to someone who doesn’t know how to use it. It’s a tool, if you don’t know how to use it mistakes will be made.
That's a good analogy. The gun is a tool but the person behind it is making a mistake in using said tool. Jokes aside for a moment, throughout history it's always been people that's the problem, the gun (the tool) doesn't know right from wrong but people do. I'll always laugh at idiots doing stupid things and immediately regretting it, same with loud mouth, chested-out wackos that get knocked the fuck out I love to see it.
You know a dude has that extra bit of integrity when they say "i have a team that helps me *REDUCE* risk" instead of implying it can ever be completely safe.
The last clip is a perfect scenario on why people choose to carry and defend themselves. Had he not been armed, he may have been seriously injured or worse by the aggressor. That's what proper use and proper training looks like.
The Darwin Award winner had a knife that became visible at his waist when his hoodie was removed according to other commenters who dug deeper into the incident, that law abiding citizen would have been stabbed to death.
Props to Brandon for giving himself a Darwin award. True strength is being honest about our own mistakes in a sincere manner. Brandon may have won a Darwin award but his is on a different level than the others in this video.
The Darwin awards videos are more nominations for potential darwin awards. Brandon didn't get a Darwin award, as he's not dead, and unless my assumption is wrong, his rod and balls are still in one piece, again, if my assumption is correct. The winner of the Darwin award is basically anyone that dies through stupidity or gets a high-speed vasectomy. Merely doing stupid sh*t with a gun or explosive doesn't get you a Darwin award unless you actually managed to do one of those two things.
Brandon - Puts on sunglasses, throws a Blank Grenade, covers ears, looks cool at camera. Brandon - Sniffs the air, turns, laughs. Brandon - "Let me put out that little fire real quick." All to prove their safety for use.
The story with the dummy grenade made me remember when I went to Cambodia. There is a army base where you can pay to shoot guns, rocket launchers etc. I payed for a grenade. Because of language problems I wasn't sure if it was real. So the general stands next to me and tells me to trow it at some objesct about 10 yards away. I pull the pin and trhpw it. It makes the hissing sound and the general excitingly tells me to dug. But he's just standing there. So I called his bluff and did'nt move. And it just went, puh! Pop. We all laughed.
Back when I was a kid they brought in a guy to show gun safety. He pulled out his revolver loaded with blanks and shredded a phone book with one shot. Really sticks in my mind and shows you what schools in the 60’s were like.
I was in high school in the 80s, and had a way cool physics teacher. He invited a friend from the National Guard to bring a wargame M16 and laser harness to our class. My teacher ran around outside our class wearing the harness and we students got the chance to shoot the teacher. It was simultaneously the coolest and most Darwin thing I ever did in highschool.
I joined the cadets growing up '09-'11 and on exercise my CO loaded 1 blank round into an SA80 and shot one of those black plastic canteens with it point blank. Thing was decimated and served as a clear demonstration of why we have those big yellow bfa's strapped to the end of the barrel. He also shot a few canteens with live rounds on range day which is less relevant but rare here in UK. Good fun.
definitely. Theres some countries with WAY more guns than the US and they dont have (many) shootings at all. i feel like it’s mainly the gun culture of america and the poor management of mental healthcare and increasing poverty, etc etc
@@eliashaynes3663 mental health is heavily underplayed. No one sound of mind would commit the atrocities we see here in the USA more often than I can stomach
@Okay Culture isn’t biological from the start. It is Geographical and socioeconomic, then SOMETIMES biology plays a part, not physically but mentally and emotionally. By culture, I think people refer to mental stability and socioeconomic status. The poor will do anything to become successful, including violent crime. After that comes mental health. America has some of the most violent, and some of the most depressed people around. Combine that with the sheer amount of guns in the country, and it is easy for the wrong person to get their hands on one, legally or not.
It isn't a gun issue or a cultural issue. It's a mental health issue. People who are not mentally sound should not be allowed anywhere near a firearm. Doesn't matter the race or culture.
@@squillz8310 Meanwhile, in Iceland, a very gun-loving country, they rarely have shootings or commit violent crimes. A 2020 census found that Iceland is 93% Icelandic the most significant ethnic minority is Poles who make up 3% of the population. Iceland also ranked the 4th happiest country in 2018. But I'm sure this is all a coincidence.
The Darwin award winner screaming like a little bitch at the end made me laugh a bit. Does that make me a bad person? (Rhetorical question; I actually don't care because it was funny as hell)
I think we need to have an additional category called the Baldwin Award. Given to a shooter who takes someone else out of the gene pool through blatant violation of the gun safety rules.
@@AngySumo I upvoted in support of that; hope others do, too. He ought to be immortalized for his anti-gun (unless it's making him money) stances and the safety failures he demonstrated....kind of like the irony of Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, an avid opponent of the death penalty being associated with the device he deemed "less cruel". I imagine that last guy was absolutely terrified in the moment, but hearing the other guy going from "I'll kick your ass" to "HELLPPPP HEEELLLLPPP!" was actually hilarious.
My 8 year old is starting to get super curious about guns and so I'm letting him see and hold my and having to explain alot about gun safety. These videos may not be making money but they are helpful in teaching him how not to handle guns. Thank you Brandon.
Well, my favorite clip was the last one. Not because someone got justifiably shot, but because the guy defending himself DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. He had a restraining order (which we see did no good), he moved at his own expense across town, he had his carry pistol on him even though it was 5am, and he was telling the attacker to get down and was backing away the entire time. While a rabid DA may still want to charge the guy with some kind of crime because the attacker was known to him (which is what would happen where I live), the camera footage should help any jury decide quickly that the guy wasn't trying to be a hero, wasn't trying to "kill", and wasn't playing cop. He chose at the last possible minute to try and minimize the shot, bringing it down somewhat. Not the best call in my opinion, but it did the job, and he kept himself ready should that not be enough. He did a great job, and I'm hoping that he isn't suffering from the trauma of having to do that.
Sadly for our shooter, I'm sure he spent some time in mental anguish, not to mention the months long ordeal of defending himself in court depending on what state he's in
@@JJ-xw8sv With self defense rounds for sure. They are meant to possibly not exit and do as much damage as possible. Our bodies are packed with all kinds of vital organs. Some will end you faster than slower. The man attacking was not so smart. A head shot might not have ended him. Pure sarcasm, not legit saying to do it. Besides, anyone with half a brain knows how hard that shot is. Never actually try it.
Arizona has CAs (County Attorneys) not DAs (district Attorneys). And if the Maricopa County Attorney even thought about prosecuting this she'd be out on her ass in the next primary.
What conversation i imagined when brandon mentioned the caliber of his pipegun: "oh check out my 9mm pistol" " well that's cute, check out my like, 20mm double barrel handgun" 😂
Last guy found what it feels like to join the phuck around and find out club. Kudos to the defender, excellent muzzle awareness, tried de-escalation and only fired when the attacker gave him no other choice.
And even lowered his shot to not instantly press the forbidden off button. GG to that guy, could have easily taken the shot at his dome, but still tried to do minimal damage.
For those interested there is analysis of the last guy on the Active Self Protection channel at the following link: ruclips.net/video/UJBGkbehCQE/видео.html
@@AngySumo I think his intention was more to guarantee that he hit. A headshot at that range is difficult and he might've missed, at which point the other guy would've attacked him
@@filmandfirearms I mean, at that distance he might as well have placed the muzzle on the attacker's forehead, he would not be missing. definitely lowered his stance to make a less messy scene
@@riograndedosulball248 agreed, he didn't want to kill the man, the move and restraining order makes that clear. I'll bet the attacker has a mental condition, like schizophrenia, and the defender was aware of this
And it's why I very much advocate for people to being allowed to legally own guns without hoolahoop levels of bullshit to go through. Sure it's fair if you need a basic certificate that shows you're competent for owning and firing such a weapon. Like how you need a driver's License before you're allowed to drive a car. And since there's retardo-ricardo out there that thinks 'huh huh, funny boint gun and benis' or be gangsta and wave around a live-round chambered gun with the most limb-wristed grips ever.... yeah some competent people needs to be armed to help make sure those lunatics dun go 'time to kill some people' and be able to do so without anyone being able to defend themselves.

That wasn't a fake grenade. That was a real grenade. A flashbang grenade. Just because it's not a fragmentation grenade doesn't mean it's not a grenade.
Adding to the last clip - The guy trying to "fight" was staked outside the defender's home at like 4:30am. The guy couldn't of had good intentions with that knife, seeing as he stalked him from a diff place and waiting for him so early in the morning.
You are the first gun advocate I have heard that has stated an actual alternate to "a gun problem" and I think you are right, America has a cultural and societal problem.
Not just America sad to say we have similar issue with knife crime in UK, knife crime and to some extent gun crime follows similr pattern to US mainly out of control young lads (usually with no fathers at home) getting involved with gangs and running amuck.
How long have you been exploring the gun advocate channels, because almost all of them have stated some variation on that at some point. Armed Lawyers, Armed Scholar, Colion Noir, Demolition Ranch, Garand Thumb, Guns & Gear, Langley Outdoor Academy, TFB TV, and many others are on that list.

Many years ago, I attended a play set during the Second World War II. The last act called for the use of a prop gun (which I'm pretty sure was a Makarov), which besides being adapted to fire blanks, was using cartridges downcharged as much as possible (during the very first show, it FTE'd on the second to last round, which was fine, because the actor that was supposed to be fake bleeding was fake bleeding and it was supposed to be empty anyways). In part, it was the relatively small space they had to work in, but even with the reduced charges, it was still astoundingly loud.
Angry Cops review of the pipe gun video was freaking hilarious. I'd love to have heard the calls and read the messages you received from your friends. 😂 Props for including it though.
Blank rounds being "harmless" and leg shooting as a less-lethal way to incapacitate a person are two of the biggest gun myths that not enough people take into consideration.
In blanks the casing can break off and act like a projectile while it's not aerodynamic a piece of casing traveling near the speed of a bullet at point blank is deadly
Plus it sounds like it was on a shopping street or near restaurants, so there's a risk of hitting bystanders. He knew his target and what was behind it.
Yeah but now it'll become a legal problem, and the attacker can sue for damages, given the right judge, jury and prosecution, the defending shooter in that last part could get screwed over big time, when I was in high-school back in 2001 or 2002 our dare officers even said if given a choice between shooting to kill or to injure, every one of those officers said shoot to kill, it's less paperwork in the end and there is nobody to testify against you as an injured party, they did stress the fact to avoid unnecessary loss of life but if you feel the need to draw a firearm in fear of your own life then follow through to the end, or don't even think about carrying or pointing a firearm to begin with, the simple act of feeling threatened enough to have to pull a firearm is enough for most cops to understand the loss of life from an assailant, of course they need all the info for reports and stuff, but most generally it is an easy proof of self defense for most situations, it would be interesting to find out exactly how the rest of that evening played out, with cops and legal stuff...
The genius level he reached by attempting to fist fight a oncoming 9mm round. What level of smarts is needed to think you're so tough you can tank a bullet in a fist fight?
Its interesting to see the defender in the final clip actually aim at the attacker's head then move down. He had plenty of time to go for the dome but decided against the more likely to be lethal shot and go for center mass or lower. Dude was really level headed the entire time i bet
When I was at Gunnery camp, the Lt. placed an apple on top of a fire hydrant, loaded a Lee Enfield trainer rifle (Mk unknown, number unknown, but was a .303 converted to .22lr and we were using blanks for, well, rifle drill training purposes) with a blank, stood about 2 feet from the apple, pointed it at said apple, pulled the trigger, and the apple exploded. Following that, he said something to the effect of "Cadet Apple is now dead! And that is why you must be very careful about where the firearm is pointed, especially those of you in the second and third ranks; or the cadet in front of you will turn out like Cadet Apple."
@@ParadigmUnkn0wn you're right, exaggeration on my part. In reality, was well within a foot, to stimulate the range it would be when held at the ready in the rear ranks. In either case, best case scenario, misses everyone completely. Not as great a case scenario, it hits the white top on the cadet in front of you. Worst case scenario, you hit the poor guy's head. When you're within arms reach of the person in front of you, even a blank can be lethal.
I appreciate the behavior of the last one especially. Keeping the weapon trained on the assailant even after he was down to prevent a secondary attack is a good practice until you KNOW the attacker is neutralized.
@@RealPlanet.1231 very true. Who tries to start a fight with a random person (with a gun) at 5am? Didn't sound drunk or under the influence, though it isn't always easy to tell.
In that self defense clip; the defender hesitated for a split second and went from aiming center mass to lower abdomen to avoid straight up killing the other guy. Even in that moment he was in control. Great to see.
It warms my heart to see a violent idiot get dropped by a defensive shooter who is 100% in the right. I don't live in the states, there are situations where ive been attacked by multiple people and one situation where i was stabbed and a gun would of saved me from serious harm (thankfully not death, but i could of died, a friend of mine was killed recently by being hit over the head and falling asleep) So to see a normal innocent civillian defend himself from a violent idiot is a nice thing to see. Sadly we don't have that here.
I used to live in a rough neighboorhood too, so I went medieval and started wearing a home-made shirt of butted-ring chainmail under my hoddies, or in my coats. it actually saved me some pain once, as the leather of the coat plus the resistance from the rings stopped an incoming blade to the guts. I had one heck of a bruise and a slight knick, but apart from that I was pretty much unharmed. The guy who stabbed me, however, was high as fuck at the time and turned himself in shortly after because he was sure he'd killed me!!!
@@krakenpots5693 The jacket did more than the rings. Butted maille is for fancy cosplay. That's not armor. Real maille was/is secured via iron rivets. Glad lady luck saw you through and you had multiple layers of protection.
@@thisdude9363 Thanks for your answer! I like to think that the butted mail did help: the area the blade came in was much larger on the outside of the jacket than on the inside, and the rings were hardly forced apart. Maybe I was simply lucky. Maybe the blow wasn't as powerfull as I perceived it. (Edit: the mail was also a six-in-one pattern maybe this also helped.) There are historical examples of butted mail existing (because if you're poor and can't afford the time and labor an armourer has to put into rivetting your armour together, then you go for the next best thing!), but of course, as you pointed out, it doesn't hold a candle to rivetted mail. Nowadays butted mail is too often used for fancy cosplay, I agree, but as a reenactor, I can assure you that butted mail has it's place in certain time periods, and on certain "characters". In any case, thanks for your reply! Have a good one!

That blank to the head had me remember something from almost 25 years ago, when I did mandatory military service in Germany. During a training exercise, a few of us were manning a guard post and were pretty bored, when a non-com turned up, dripping fake blood everywhere. So after showing we learned our first-aid stuff, two of us then carried him to the medic tent, quite some distance away. A few of the others, even more bored, started playing around with the guns. None of us had any ammunition, but when one guy pointed a gun at another's face, just a foot away, suddenly there was a "pop" and that other guy got white as a sheet. Turns out the sarge had left his gun when pretending to be unconcious, and had some of the green things loaded that make some mediocre noise, but are pretty harmless otherwise. Just then the company commander was spotted being on his way to us, so the people involded hastily sprayed some deodorant and waved it around the room to hide the smell of burnt powder. Then we put all the guns neatly together, but were still chewed out as we had miscounted and had missed one of one of the guys that had gone with the sarge. Had the sergeant had loaded anything else, that could have ended pretty badly. And the guys taking the sarge away should have taken their and his guns with them. This was all the rules of gun safety at once, adding "guns are no toys", "don't play with other people's guns", and "keep your gun with you". I don't think anyone involved or watching this did any stupid shit with guns again.
While doing my mandatory service at the Bundeswehr, I went in as an extra for some extended training exercise of the new soldiers fresh out of the basic training. Prior to the training days, we were all instructed several times to always handle blank fire rounds as if they were live rounds. Especially, not to toy around with the guns, not to aim directly at anyone at any given moment, not to restrain any comrades and absolutely no "execution" plays. It was the second day of the extended training where they had to get one of the freshmen into the hospital for treatment of a blast trauma... Later that day I heard that some idiots tied his hands behind his back and fired a blank from a G36 (.223 Remington) with the muzzle less then a meter next to his ear. As far as I know he did not suffer any lasting injuries at least. Luckily that was the only incident in this training. On the good side, I had the opportunity to blank-fire a G3 way above the heads of the new recruits to simulate an attack. 7.62x51 is a lot beefier compared to the sound of the G36 we were used to.
@@Shadow_Lunatale If I remember correctly (the time is a bit of a haze, due to sleep deprivation and the time that has passed since then), that incident was at the end of basic training (2 of the 10 total months we had to serve back then) We had the G3 then. The G36 was being rolled out, but as supply and logistics, we still had the old ones. Of course, we had been told how (not) to handle guns, but 18 to 20 year old boys bored out of their minds tend to forget things. And then, as T7, we didn't have much experience with the guns, just had target practice a few times, and had just been parked at the guard post to not get in the way. So nobody expected any ammunition of any kind to be around. So this turned out to be a great lesson about any gun potentially being loaded. If it had been a real blank instead of those green ones, I think the guy with his face in front of the muzzle would have gotten some burns or worse and everyone in the room would have had their ears ringing. And it would probably have been heard outside. That's not to say those training dummies were totally harmless. I think I have slightly damaged my hearing when I was still fumbling with my protection while the rest of the squad was firing all at once. And to explain the "T7" I mentioned earlier, for anyone not familiar with the German mustering system (back then): Before you were drawn for service, you were examined medically. Then you werer either assigned T1, T2, or T3 as being (mostly) fit for service, or T5 for being unfit and exempted from service. At least in my time, therer was also T7, which meant you were practically unfit, but not so much as to be exempt and still be usable in some support position. I think what did it for me was my bee allergy, but as the group had mixed problems, they had to find the least common denominator. Training was *very* basic, you'd only get to shoot your gun a few times, had bivouac indoors, would not get worked to exhaustion but on the other hand, missed the fun stuff, too, like shooting machine guns or throwing grenades. And your assignment later would be the most boring one possible (in my case: picking small items from storage or sorting and putting things away, in between alot of waiting for transport to deliver or pick up stuff).
@@TheTundraTerror I'm just going off all his choices and body language. He looked like he was doing the most to not shoot him. And maybe he also didn't want to kill him. But maybe I am wrong and he aimed center mass for better chance of hit and follow up shots.
you would think so but that's not true. there is only one reason so use deadly force and that is to kill. you can actually be sued for attempting to shoot to wound. i learned about several cases while getting my CJ degree.
@@T0tenkampf Yeah but we don't know this guy's level of experience or familiarity with the law. Also the human instinct not to harm others is a well documented effect even on trained soldiers. But what you are saying could be right and I could be wrong.
Holy CRAP the context of that Darwin award is important. At first, seeing a guy challenging the gun owner to a fistfight had me thinking the guy with the gun wasn't responding with the appropriate amount of force. However, the context being stalking (which statistically almost always ends in horrible violence to the victim), plus a restraining order, plus the guy having a knife in his waistband, allllll adds up to this guy just trying to trick this guy into putting the gun down so he could stab him.
Honestly none of that even matters. He still would be justified. Any person trying to challenge me to a fight at 5:30 am in front my house is for sure a psycho and someone I do not want to fight.
@@johncena-hq1ti Yea it was the appropriate amount of force pretty much regardless of context, unless the context was it was all a joke or something. Now whether that's legally the appropriate amount of force might vary from state to state depending on stand your ground laws or whatever but on just a human rights level if someone is assaulting you and you try to back away and tell them to leave, AND they know you have a gun but won't cease hostilities, it's time to put a bullet in them.
I felt like such a horrible person for laughing at today's winner. When he goes "oweweeowww" after talking all that shit I couldn't help but bust out laughing 🤣
I do kinda feel bad for the guy. Getting shot is just a bad time no matter who you are. And it sounds like this guy had some real problems, so it’s sad that it ended like this rather than him getting the help he needed to become a better person. That said, I still laughed at his squealing.
Except in the hellholes of liberal states. In Hawaii, where I lived for 5 years, the shooter would absolutely have been charged. He could have retreated and could have tried at least tried to get away by outrunning the idiot, which under Hawaii law says he is defending himself! Of course here in any sane state that was about perfect!
I remember a time on deployment, we had some guys in the village near by celebrating with their AKs, we didn't know at the time and when our radar picked up the rounds we thought it was mortar fire and we almost LEVELED them with 120 mortars and 155 Arty.
And this reminds me of the (probably not true) story of some cops out and about with the radar gun when a fighter jet was flying by pretty low, and they thought it would be funny if they clocked the jet. It caused the radar gun to malfunction so they had to get it looked at. When they wrote to the nearby air force base and complained about their radar gun being out of commission, they got a reply along the lines: "Be happy our pilot was quick to override counter measures before the jet could automatically fire a HARM missle at the radar."
that last clip is a prime example of how firearms are a great tool for self-defense. if someone really thinks that the dude with a gun should rot in prison, you really need to take a step back and think about thr situation and why he did what he did.
Especially if the state in question has a zero bail policy. Why let criminals go more easily if the law abiding citizen has to stay behind bars because they are new to the system & have no file that merely needs to be updated to reflect any new scars or tattoos & address changes?
gun safety rules: 1) do not hold a loaded gun to your head, even if it was handed to you by a complete stranger 2) do not use ak-47 drunk and one-handed when children are standing around 3) do not put loaded weapons in your pants 4) do not walk naked and aggressively towards people who have a gun pointed at your head Of course, all this only applies if you don't want to die

I'm glad my boy defended himself well. Stalking is no joke and homie looked prepared. Probably aimed down to be considerate of the surrounding people. He was prepared.
Gotta add, if Mr. Owie was in Shooter's neighborhood, not vice versa, the stalking/stand your ground law would hold up, as well as self defence. And as its on camera, shows he WAS trying to back away, and Owie wasn't having it. If he was armed, even if not holding it, it was 100% justified. If I'd been on a jury, I'd have acquitted him.
My immediate thought is that he decided he didn't want to go for a direct kill shot and decided to shoot in the chest on the off chance that it wouldn't absolutely kill him rather than a headshot that would be more likely to kill. But maybe he was trying not to shoot into the houses around if it was at 5:00 in the morning. I can't imagine that there'd be too many people just randomly walking the street.
I got the impression that he w Didn't want to shoot the attacker in the face and immediately kill him, I think he was trying to end it while also trying not to kill the man.
The only real pucker factor was, he left the guy get WAY too close to him. Watch training videos that show the dangers of letting assailants get closer than 20 feet.
Brandon, that Russian guy 9:32 is generally very skilled with weapons. And yes, it was a mock-up of a real grenade. this guy has his own channel "715 Team"
those mockups are generally very crappy, especially airsoft grenades... grenades arent supposed to go off after pulling the pin, but after the spoon is released, but several airsoft grenades i have seen have a "decorative" spoon and triggers from the pin being removed
The last video demonstrates that regardless of guns being the "tool of the weak", the person with the gun probably won't be spending their dying moments, half naked in the street, screaming in pain.
I mean the guy without a gun was bigger around than the little guy who was wearing a puffy vest! I mean he had to have outweight him buy at least 50 lb! But the little guy was supposed to square up and and fight it out. With a crazy guy who out weighed him by 50 lb? Hell no . shoot that piece of crap and be done with it
You know what I love. It's people like you narrating videos that are already on lying like I can't watch the videos and decipher it myself. I have to have somebody in a mullet and a white T-shirt telling me what I'm looking at. Get a job dude
That last case is probably also a good example for how to handle that situation after the aggressor was incapacitated. It looked like the defender was fingering for his phone afterwards to call for help - police and ambulance. Mind you that, if you have a Knive and attack someone with a gun and are shot down, you will likely not get first aid before you are unconscious. It is too risky, especially if the person with the gun is the only person that could aid. Also do not stalk people!
The last clip is my favorite because of two things 1: how immediately the attacker folded and started to cry “OW” 2: the amazing trigger discipline, he has the gun out but aimed down at the ground, giving off the warning that I will shoot you if you don’t back up.
gave him 2 cahnces to stop to. Raised the gun pointed at his neck or face. A clear threat of "I AM READY YOU BLAST YOU, LAST WARNING" But when he took that last step he lowered it then fired when it was clear he would not back down. Im pretty sure he lowered it so it wasnt a 100% killshot, Nobody want to kill someone regardless of the situation even when justified.
@@BlueBD are there any details of what happened afterwards? Like, did they call (or have some one call) for paramedics? I understand the implication by the Darwin awards that the attacker probably didn’t survive, but i do wonder what the full aftermath was here
@@BlueBD i remember a quote somewhere, I can’t remember though if my dad said it to me or if it was a movie/tv quote. “The minute you pull out a gun and aim it at someone, it means you plan to kill them.”

I haven't even gotten to the part with idiots holding guns and Im already subbing to your channel. Very nice presentation. Im sure the content is gona be great as well. Cheers!
honestly the worst part about that first video and videos like that, is usually those people who are stupid enough to do shit like that, are also too stupid to blame themselves. i have no doubt they'd end up blaming the gun and start advocating for banning guns just cos they can't trust themselves with one.
So I had a homeless guy pull a knife on me. I pulled my gun, he then tried goading me into putting the gun away to 'fight like a man'. I just kept my hold on him until he put the knife down and decided to walk away. Then I called the cops. I'm just glad I didn't have to plug the guy. Definitely good that last guy stuck to his guns, literally.
@@jiaan100 possibly, there was some benefit as all the homeless in the area moved away from that particular building. Also happened to be my place of work at the time.
I had a lifelong criminal shitbag come into my work a few weeks ago with a tree branch he turned into a club. Started threatening me and my boss. He came pretty close to getting plugged glad I didn't have to shoot him. Cops got him but only charged him with mischief.
That possible blank round was pretty gnarly. I was in the 155th Gettysburg reenactment and we had a guy in our camp blow a hole in his hand when he was grabbing his revolver. I'm still not sure how it happened, but yeah, black powder is no joke
When I served in the Army, we screw in metal stop plates at the shooty end of our M16s to prevent us from peppering metals fragments of the blanks into each other

"We don't have a gun problem, we have a crippling culture problem"
This is extremely true. It's not a gun problem it's a people problem. The firearm is a tool, nothing more. The person behind it gives the gun its purpose, whether it be hunting, sport shooting, self-defense etc. It's like blaming a pencil for making a spelling mistake.
More accurately it's like blaming a pencil for writing disgusting disgusting fanfiction.
That's exactly why usa needs a system to control who should be able to own a gun or not. Just some papers and controls about psy state. If americans want to keep their guns they need to accept some form of control. It would greatly help their cause.
If you hand a lot of people pencils, you will have a lot of spelling mistakes. Especially if you don't teach them to write!
@@mpauls85 it’s the same as if you hand a hammer to someone who doesn’t know how to use it. It’s a tool, if you don’t know how to use it mistakes will be made.

Props to Brandon for giving himself a Darwin award. True strength is being honest about our own mistakes in a sincere manner. Brandon may have won a Darwin award but his is on a different level than the others in this video.
I don't think you understand what a Darwin Award is
The Darwin awards videos are more nominations for potential darwin awards.
Yep, Brandon only gave himself (earned) a Nomination < Peanut gallery where you clap politely for the Actual Winner of the Award (last clip).
I mean Angry Cops kinda made sure he did….or else
I did like how he knew that was a sketchy result and stood up and checked himself for injuries.
Brandon - Puts on sunglasses, throws a Blank Grenade, covers ears, looks cool at camera.
Brandon - Sniffs the air, turns, laughs.
Brandon - "Let me put out that little fire real quick."
All to prove their safety for use.
I genuinely think that should be a mandatory lesson in modern schools.
That is very good demo of the blanks though!
Good fun.
I thought the boy scouts and schools had a gun and shooting club.

"We don't have a gun problem in this country. We have a culture problem."
No better way to put it 👍

Since he was being stalked by the Darwin Award "winner", I hope he finally has peace!
Sadly for our shooter, I'm sure he spent some time in mental anguish, not to mention the months long ordeal of defending himself in court depending on what state he's in

It warms my heart to see a violent idiot get dropped by a defensive shooter who is 100% in the right. I don't live in the states, there are situations where ive been attacked by multiple people and one situation where i was stabbed and a gun would of saved me from serious harm (thankfully not death, but i could of died, a friend of mine was killed recently by being hit over the head and falling asleep)
So to see a normal innocent civillian defend himself from a violent idiot is a nice thing to see.
(Edit: the mail was also a six-in-one pattern maybe this also helped.)
There are historical examples of butted mail existing (because if you're poor and can't afford the time and labor an armourer has to put into rivetting your armour together, then you go for the next best thing!), but of course, as you pointed out, it doesn't hold a candle to rivetted mail.

Thanks for sharing an amazing story man! Hope all is going well.
One hell of a lesson was made that day, glad no one was injured but man I can imagine the look on that guys face
Last clip. The gun carrying guy helped his case a lot by clearly aiming away from the other guy's head before firing
Yeah I noticed it looks like he chose to shoot the guy in the torso instead. Maybe hoping he would not kill him.
@@Vulkanprimarch Or, most likely, he knows that aiming at center mass is more likely to hit the target.
