This video is about HART tools are they really Hyper Tough Tools simply rebranded at Walmart? You decide, but the socket set looks really close. You decide, but I can tell you that the New HART tools did work well enough and I was able to change out a set of front brake pads with them.

Just for price comparison, the HART 90-Piece runs $44.88 vs Hyper Tough 141-Piece at $49.88 Pricing is always subject to change but when this video was taken that was the current pricing for each item.
Just bought the Hart 90 piece Socket Set.For 44.95 no complaints and a limited lifetime Warranty.The metal latches on the case are really nice.Just subscribed and thanks for confirming exactly what I thought.Made my living with Craftsman and Kobalt and had a lot of money in them but the Warranty made it worth the Buy.Really like the Hart 90 tooth Ratchet its very smooth.
Just make sure if you get HART or hyper tough power tools, you MUST go corded.

I agree, i own a hyper tough sawzall and it works *great* .
The only issue is that my dumbass paid more for a cordless, HT has the worst battery life I've ever seen. 3 minutes of run time, 3 hours of charge time.
I agree, I have a ton of harbor freight tools, and if you're not abusing it, they work just fine.
I agree 100%. If you’re breaking your tools, regardless of brand or cost, you’re likely being rough or careless with them. I treat my tools with respect and take care of them. Sure the occasional accident happens here and there, but that’s normal. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you.
I own tools from several different brand names. I started buying Hart hand tools about three years ago around 2019. The screw drivers are great with strong tips and good grips. The adjustable wrenches work good. Compact magnetic level is good. The cost of Hart tools are very affordable. I use the Porter Cable 20 volt lithium tools so I have not tried the Hart power tools. The Hart 25’ tape measure is the best I have ever owned. The tape is very stiff and is easy to use outdoors. Easy to read numbers on the tape, especially the 1/8th measurements. My wife started her own tool box with nothing but Hart tools, and she does use them.
Thank you for the honest and easy to understand comparison. This makes me think I will just stay with my HF wrenches and sockets.

@@jackjkantrowitz50kantrowit12 No worries I know what you mean. It looks HART only has an adjustable wrench, but no combination wrench sets. Wonder if those will be later as even the bigger sets don't include them.
Own both HT and Hart tools. Definitely not the same thing. For example, the HT vs Hart 1/4 inch impact wrench. The Hart tool is significantly bigger and heavier and feels much more robust. Side by side, there is no way anyone would think they are the same. Hart wins by a mile. HT is cheaper. I needed a jigsaw for one small project and picked up the HT corded jigsaw for like 20 bucks. Worked great. The Hart 20v equivalent was like 70 bucks. HT was all I needed to get the job done.

Thanks for the video Chris. I was actually looking for the HART tools at my Walmart last week. I was really looking if anything more out of curiosity 😂. I was wanting to check out both their hand tools and their power tools. And I was thinking of picking up some of the hand tools and maybe an impact driver so that I could do a video on them. I really want to start doing videos again. I took almost all of my videos down when you chew changed their monetization requirements. Unfortunately my Walmart did not have any Hart products. that's okay though I know I can always count on you for a fair and honest review!

Ive owned alot of hyper tough tools and all I can say is the drill bits suck but, everything else is pretty decent. I have yet to own any Hart tools, however a nice selection I must say. I will miss Stanley's tools being there though.
Stanley isn't going anywhere.
They went somewhere that isn't Wal-Mart.
They're made by the same company who makes other big brands so I might get this for a friend over the Stanley I have. I've only broken a ratchet but everything has been great in my 80 dollar set.
I love my craftsman Socket set... had it for 15 years with no issues but it was made in USA and their new stuff is made in Jhina
As a DIY I still prefer brands that I can buy sets of tools and still pick up “skipped sizes” or add-on/expansion. That’s one of the reasons I still like Craftsman.

Agreed, it's asking for damage in high torque situations.
@@stinkycheese804 In high torque situations, you're going to want to use a 1/2" drive ratchet with a bigger socket to meet the application's demands. Beefier steel and more leverage from the longer handle. Or, alternatively, get a 3/8" breaker bar designated for stuff that you want to bust loose if you don't have a 1/2" drive ratchet.
I like the socket stamping on hart, I used to hate ppl who warranty brakes we did it at Napa forever then were told not to, thing is the printed warranty is the usual lingo, warrantied against manufacturer defects, if your store does it cool.
I actually like the Hart hand tools.
I don't like the pricing on most of the HART stuff... they're crazy. Plenty of Homedepot around that but they're not open 24/7 ☹️

You are paying for a cheaper battery platform. Go compare any battery price at Lowe’s or Home Depot you will easily pay $200 just for two batteries
my local walmart is phasing out stanley for the hart stuff they put all the stanley stuff out on clearance
Mine started about a month ago.
Stanley was much better in my opinion. Especially the sockets. Hart sockets dont fit as snug.

My Walmart hs plenty of both heart and Hyper tough products in stock. I recently bought the hyper tough reciprocating saw. Mostly use it for pruning and cutting fallen tree limbs.

Good vid, while the Hart tools appear to be better quality they are more expensive than hyper tough.
But since they appear to be discontinued hyper toughs stuff you can get some really good deals on it if you are ok with the lesser quality of hyper tough. I got 20v 7 pc set of tools for $15 of hyper tough.

The HARTs are good. Hyper tough are garbage my Quarter inch ratchet broke the first time I used it
Use hart tools for a back up in the tool box on a truck. Never know if your going to break down or see someone who is just something nice to have and hart is not to bad. Fair price and good well “ok” Quality. But this is something I would give advice for a young teenager or someone who is young and wants to learn about care and stuff this would be the best beginners brand I would advice them to
It would not surprise me if one day we find out Pittsburgh pro, Quinn, Hart and Hyper tough all came from the same factory. All are basically the same, just different finishes and stampings

These are made by TTI the same people who make Ryobi and Milwaukee basically they are Ryobi with different battery design.

I have hart Ratchet that extends out I bought it to try it out get used everyday really happy with it i work on cars everyday so my tools get used quite bit i even used hart Ratchet to take stuck lug nut once
Received a 3/8" Craftsman ratchet on warranty replacement for one in a set that was barely used and just locked up. The original was made in USA, replacement China. The replacement is JUNK. Selector feels wobbly and loose, and only 36 teeth. Was in Walmart today and they still had both Hyper Tough and Hart. BOTH of them felt much better built, smoother, selectors solid and 72 teeth. Have bought Craftsman since the 70's. NEVER again. Craftsman is dead to me. Have had decent results with HFT.
The icon brand at HF is pretty good.
HT ratchets are all different in different sets and different then the ones hanging being sold alone.
A lot of the older carftsmen stuff was wf which sadly just went belly up 🐧🏒😎🇺🇸

I can tell you from experience. Hart is 100 times better than hyper tough.
Especially when it comes to power tools
I just bought that ratchet (my HART tools video is coming soon), I didn't buy the whole tool kit (I have no need for that), SO, I bought that little 3/8 kit that they have in the little white case.. . . . The HART ratchet reminds me of those PowerTorque Ratchets sold at O'Reilly's and those JobSmart ratchets sold at Tractor Supply Co.

Hart is made by the same company that makea Ryobi, Craftsman and Milwuakee. TTI Group. So the Hart tools are essentially rebranded Craftsman and Ryobi tools. Maybe some rebranded Milwuakees thrown in here and there.
No craftsman is owned by Stanley/ black and decker. Milwaukee, Hart, Ryobi, Rigid are owned by TTI.
Stanley owns Craftsman, Husky, proto, Mac, and a bunch of legacy brands.

The 270 piece at $99 is such a killer deal. I would have totally bought one had I not spend money on other tools my store might even have a few left.
Had to put paper labels on all my sockets, white with black print, can read the size 10 foot away now.
Why would it be useful to read sockets further away than an arm's length to grab one? It's not. It's far better to just have a socket arrangement on an rail or case and you know where each size is because that's where that size is supposed to be.
The ractet look the same so I think Kolbolt, masterforce, Hyper Tought, Hart, and the TSC brand all come from same factory . 🇺🇸😎🏒🐧

Why did Wal-Mart quit selling Stanley tools
They probably own or license the hart name, so they have a better brand name than hyper tough for better sales volume, and don't have to pay as much for the tools as they paid black and decker for stanley.
The store's brand is much more profitable per unit than selling the name brand.
Lowes has the Craftsman deal from black and decker. WalMart cut ties and brought in Hart.
Usually like Hyper Tough, but some of the sockets will not attach….this was on a kit claiming to be auto mc tool kit. Junk!

How does it compare to the gear wrench sockets? I’m thinking of getting their impacts and master set now that Icon got disappointing reviews.
I have the impact drill bit set and it’s garbage. So many bits have the tips twisted, and broken off with normal usage.

I would stick with the major brands for cordless tools. Batteries will always be available and they are so common even aftermartket. Batteries should be made decades to come.

lol, what planet do you live on? There is no major brand that has made compatible batteries for decades except Ryobi and even then you need a new Li-Ion capable charger for them.

What the hell is up with your car that your brakes are that loose? Half the time calipers end up needing an impact or breaker.

I would agree about the marketing but I would compare the quality to the store brands at HF lowes and home depot. I know a decent amount of people swear by those brands for all their hand tools. So I have to say the quality is very good for the price. Also keep in mind walmart will be purging their tool dept soon to make room for all the hart tools. Clearance sales aplenty.

I will never buy Snap On tools because of the prices their prices are outrageous just like I seen a basic tool set by Snap On didn’t even have that many tools in it and it was $4,000 only a idiot would pay $4,000 on a basic tool set you could buy a bunch of DeWalt power tools for less than what you would pay for that basic Snap On tool set that’s literally nuts.

They bought the name but not an exclusive right to it for something like 10 years so now there are concurrent lines from both Sears' suppliers and SB&D suppliers. Thus, not "buy OUT", just "own".

I am talking about some of the bottom of line ratchets with the roto head 40 tooth maybe they get the job done but obviously not built as well, again it’s the price point and target consumer. Occasional use or emergency use kit store under the seat of car or tool box in truck or kept at cabin etc
They are essentially Ryobi tools with a white case, and a modified battery. Both are made by TTI, as is Milwaukee.

Whoever did your brakes last, needs to be fired. They weren't torqued anywhere near spec to come loose that easily. If it were "most" other fasteners in our lives, I'd let it slide, but BRAKES(!), NO!

Any part from autozone is trash...
You have limited experience with Autozone if you feel that way. Many of their parts are not top shelf, but many are serviceable quality. The issue is that they charge too much, often about 60% premium to attach a lifetime warranty to parts that otherwise wouldn't have one that long.
....TIP... PUT SOME VERY HOT HOT GLUE ON THOSE SCREWS ON THE RATCHETS OR YOU WILL BE SORRY LATER...SCREWS HAVE NO PLACE ON A RATCHET!!
Hot glue? Please just STFU. If they can't be torqued enough without stripping the head, then use threadlock, NOT hot glue. Hot glue does damn near nothing to change screw torque unless the screw is in rotten wood.
