you should react to Hannes Grossmann playing a Blotted Science song.
tizzzle87 omg I’ve been trying to remember what the hell that group was called for like months
Blotted freaking Science
Yes, please x1000
oh yeah, him or Charlie Zeleny, both are great. also Grossmann's own stuff would be amazing.
but it's already awesome to see Bobby Jarzombek on the list, which means we're gonna see some Spastic Ink
Yes. Any Blotted or Spastic Ink will do please.
You sir, know your drummers 👌🏻
Well worth looking at more of Alex's play throughs. The guys a great player.
Man, of all the drummers I've seen you react to that I wasn't already familiar with, I think this has been my favorite so far. Love this guy. Guess I need to check out The Faceless!
The leader is an asshole but the music is excellent
This is easily my most watched video of Alex's. Shits fucking tight.
OKAY enough with the metal. I wanna see "jazz drummer reacts to jazz drummer!" It would be interesting to see what blows your mind in your metaphorical "lane."
@Revan Nevermore LOL
You can't kill the metal
The metal will live on
Punk Rock tried to kill the metal
But they failed, as they were smite to the ground
New wave tried to kill the metal
But they failed, as they were stricken down to the ground
Grunge tried to kill the metal, hahahahaha
They failed, as they were thrown to the ground
New wave tried to destroy the metal, but the metal had its way
Grunge then tried to dethrone the metal, but metal was in the way
Punk Rock tried to destroy the metal, but metal was much too strong
Techno tried to defile the metal, but techno was proven wrong
Metal!
It comes from hell!
That might have been some of the cleanest drumming that I've ever seen.
I recommend checking out Steve Judd of Karnivool and Jay Postones of TesseracT sometime. Both great drummers. I'm completely fascinated by the polyrhythms in Change Part 2 by Karnivool and I've been drumming for decades.
Finally Rudinger !!
make sure to bring Rudinger's old stuff back ! it's the fucking shit ! technical AF!
You should check out Brutal Death Drummer.mp4, it's a guy called Morgan from a band called Henker. As he has quadruple pedals, the drumming get's quite insane.
Yea a lot of request after Morgan that u did, finally! 😂🤘
And yes, mute cymbals and splashes is freakin GR8!
And by the way.. Yes the hi hat and the snare is there for ya but not wasnt there for Keith Moon 😂 he kick the shit out of it.
Great channel! 🇸🇪
U should try Flo Mounier my man
Infant Annihilator - Cunt Crusher drum playthrough. Aaron Kitcher is incredible.
I love this band due to the fact that Evan Brewer is a top notch bass player. I know you're a drum guy, but if you ever venture into bass players. Check Evan out.
I really can't wait for Dominator. There is nothing incredibly technical (proggy), just extreme blast beat but i love that drummer
react to SBASTIAN LANCER Sir! He's so technical and progrrssive, one of the beast drummer in modern tech/prog! Bet you watch it, worth so much since he plays really unique and not monotone, super drumer!
Lord Marco's playthrough of Mental Prolapse by Rings of Saturn, please! :)
Gotta do Ben Koller from Converge.
Lord Marco!!!
Pls react to rings of Saturn's the husk played by lord Marco. U won't regret it dude. Keep up the good work
One word, Kevin Paradis
Come on dude! At least two videos a week!
Do more Bran Dailor
Jamie saint merat from ulcerate.
Rudinger and Orbin are both robots.
Fun fact: Alex Rudinger was a student of Travis Orbin
Beat me lol
I mean kinda? If you talk to Alex he says he had a few lessons from him and that he has no clue why that rumor is so far spread. He has posted multiple comments in response to that over the years. He himself does not consider himself a "student" of Travis's. Technically yeah, because he did have a handful of lessons by Travis, but if ole' Rudi himself doesn't consider himself a "student" of Travis not sure I would either. Cheers!
@@BurnTheNuance maybe not a long time student but some of the techniques he picked up from orbin has a apparently stuck. Posture, technique, very similar set ups e.t.c.
@@BurnTheNuance Oh that's interesting! I always thought he actually studied with him. I've met him 2 or 3 times now but for some reason I guess I never got around to asking about that. Good to know 🤔Thanks 👍
Travis still #1 for me, but they're both great.
I must have watched that Xenochrist video like 10 times in a row when i first found it! Alex is probably in my top 3 all time drummers, an absolute beast.
You do know the whole drum part was composed by Faceless original drummer Lyle Cooper, right? Lyle is the genius behind that drumming, not Alex.
@@amjan Yes i do and i have listened to the original a bunch of times, but imho Alex is just some kind of magical beast who pulls that shit off like no one else.
Lyle is a very sublime drummer between his talent and his effort. He seems so relaxed comparatively, but Alex's playing is so damn clean and even between strokes. Part of that is his attention to his production. Love them both.
Check out spencer prewwet from archspire
Yes we are not f*cking stupid... we know that another person may have arranged the drums for this song... and yes I very much appreciate Kyle as a drummer too..
You also know right that Alex played live with this band?? And played all these songs in a live environment? Basically yes,,,, we know
Next time you do MARCO MINNEMANN when his playing as Necrophagist drummer
I think it would be much better to react to an Aristocrats video from Marco, because of how they're so unique.
Lol why though, with all of the parts he changed/improvised it might as well have been Marco Minnemann featuring Necrophagist. Amazing drummer, worst for Necro though
@@acidrain812 Yeah, he's an amazing drummer, but he's not an extreme metal drummer.
He can play the gig, but not like Hannes for instance and he adapted and changed a lot of parts that were great in the album. He is friends with Muhammed, so I guess that's why he got the temporary gig.
The Aristocrats showcase his skill and musicality a lot more, since he writes songs as well. To me that's where Marco is right at home.
lo0u exactly
please react to Lyle Cooper, previous drummer of the faceless. his drum style is insanely dynamic and creative for the genre. abhorrent - elegance playthrough or the faceless - planetary duality live drum cam
glad your channel gets the attention it deserves! have a nice day!
Mr. Cooper plays the whole damned thing with his eyeballs closed (because of severe stagefright from what I gather), mind right in the fuckin' zone where everything in the entire universe is in its' perfect proper place \m/
Lyle OWNS Rudinger
As a drummer myself, I dig on both o' those cats; one can scarcely go wrong with either, just my opinion lol \m/
@@evilervcowart6234 funny to hear
" brutal" drummers called cats. It shouldn't be because I've done it too. Maybe it just looks funny. Idk.
I think I think
too much
Small brain: Buying triggers and quantizing your drums
Big brain: Hiring Alex Rudinger to play your drums
Massive Brain : Be Alex Rudinger
Galaxy brain: A L E X
Jamie Saint Merat from Ulcerate has great quality videos and is a great drummer
Tried quite a few times and failed. I just dont think he is that well known with my fellow metalheads here. Unlikely to get through with the new patreon system. Dead Oceans, Extinguished Light, Omens, Everything is Fire, Withered & Obsolete etc. etc. I even posted links to some good videos before.
@@Blackerer I'm tempted to go Patreon to get him through. Jamie is on a whole other level to a lot of these drummers who are great, but what Jamie does is alien.
@@TheTrveMothlord I AM going to go to Patreon to recommend Jamie. I also agree he's on a whole other level, but Ulcerate is on a whole other level to most current DM bands in general. One of the few modern DM bands I've heard that sounds like they're on to something genuinely NEW, even when I can hear the Gorguts/Immolation influence. What song should I recommend? I've gone back-and-forth on several. My personal preference is for Everything is Fire, but every time I watch a live vid of Jamie doing a song I'm impressed all over again!
@@jonathanhenderson9422 I actually think the material post Everything Is Fire is drum wise when Jamie really found his own. Destroyers being his more atmosoheric heavy work. Not that EIF isnt amazing. He just began to really trascend from then on!
Relapse records have a pretty great live clip of him doing Dead Oceans from 2017 I think? Otherwise there are the studio montage clips?
My fave song is cold becoming but I know Garret seems to want to watch videos with clearer audio vs raw camera.
Agree on all of what you've said though.
@@TheTrveMothlord I think a big part of why I love EIF is simply that that was the first Ulcerate I heard that blew my mind. I do agree Jamie has gotten even better since then, but picking a single song to recommend is tough! I'm trying to find one that has a good mix of his insane technique/speed, but also a good amount of his slower, jazzier/fusion-esque playing where he does a lot of creative cymbal work. I'll go give Dead Oceans another listen. I don't want to do the studio montage clips because I think Garrett appreciates hearing live performances, and the studio stuff being montages of different songs is even more discombobulating than hearing a single song!
Alex is another level
You should try to interview or talk to some of these guys.
Got to see both Alex Rudinger and Lyle Cooper play in the same night some years ago when The Faceless, Revocation and The HAARP Machine were touring together. What a night that was
That would have been some night!!!
What drummer did revocation have then, was it ash yet? That dude is a beast as well
"Or you could beat the shit out of your China" I felt that deep.
Tim "Herb" Alexander of Primus, is an underrated drummer in my opinion
I'm 110% sure everyone makes that same exact face and head Bob at 3:55 part
That guy Alex Rudinger is not only very technically skilled, but also very musical. Even in weird time signatures he manages to keep a nice groove and overall feel to a song.
PLEASE REVIEW “Spencer Prewitt” The Drummer for “ARCHSPIRE”!! You will not be disappointed!!!
Bultron La Gore specifically the drum cam from their studio of him playing through Involuntary Doppelgänger! Absolutely insane!
Duuuuuuude, I saw them live 2 weeks ago, absolutely unreal. Never seen a blast beat like it
Please check out ULCERATE - Everything Is Fire [Live Drum Playthrough]. Jaime Saint Merat is the drummer.
When you get to Bobby Jarzombek, please do 'Peppered Cancer'; coolest drumming you'll ever see, I promise! 🤗
YES.
YES!!!
Alex is my man he's a beast
Can’t wait for Baard! Thank you for letting us know it’s coming. 😁
must be "Illuminate" for sure!
Matias Fur Da Zëss I lean towards “Rewind”. It’s so hard to pick just one!
@@jen.g. this 2 songs are actually one of my favorites xD, but, in a drummer point of view, the polyrhythm on Illuminate are just outstandig for me
I love me some Rewind
Looking forward to it! I'll toss Mirage and Third Law into the mix...good variety in those two from Baard.
Oh man Bobby is a mixed (lefty righty) drummer madman!! Amazing drummer from my home town.
Bobby is a legend - one of a kind!
bobby is amazing to watch
Christ Turner at 10% is shameful :(
Hes becoming a metal head, we've gotta get this guy to check out Death
Waiting for Bobby but you should react to Lord Marco - The Husk
"this is like fusion" welcome to the world of tech death :D
When you do Baard Kolstad, my top recommendation is Moon. Unbelievable playthrough and song. Really tricky to figure out rythmic patterns and time signatures, but somehow flows flawlessly.
Mirage is also cool tho if you ask me
Please react to Eloy Casagrande, drummer for Sepultura.
Please react to Mgła-Exercises in Futility V -Darkside-(Brutal Assault 2019). The cymbal work is mind boggling.
Woohoo Bobby made the list!! No one else like him 👌
Anything Alex did with conquering dystopia is awesome! Also love his new stuff with whitechapel now that he's touring with them. And the playthrough of 22 faces by periphery he did. All solid tracks 💪
If you want to see some awesome metal/rock covers check out Caleb H (6 year old drummer, okay maybe 7 now) or Yoyoka (12 year old drummer), but wait there is more...
Big band stuff? How about Greyson Nekrutman? He is 18 and has chops for dayyyyyyyyyyyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... yeah with a long z.
Want to stay with jazz? Senri Kawaguchi or Kanade Sato.
Those 5 people, one made drummerworld's top 500 list at 14 I believe, another at 10 (Senri & Yoyoka respectively). The other 3 will make the list before we see 2030.
As for which video to suggest... Any of them. I can watch all of them for days. The only thing that is a greater joy than discovering a prodigy is to see them grow up on RUclips and watch their talent grow even faster than they do.
Lord marco playing the husk by rings of saturn
if you like open handed style then you will jizz your pants watching Bobby Jarzombek
Bobby Jarzombek playing Peppered Cancer is ridiculous
bobby jarzombek peppered cancer, simply delicious
Duuuuuuude ive been askin for this for months. Thank you so much. Love you man.
If you do another one from Alex, please do Madness Opus!!! As always love your videos duder!!
Am I the only who thinks this guy talks like Louis CK?
Sumac - "thorn in the lions paw"
Boggles my damn brain every time i hear the drummer play.
Would love to hear your thoughts on Luke Holland “Mirrors” play through.
Blake Richardson drumming "Lunar Wilderness." I think you watched one of his videos before but the Paralax videos he did are top notch and are mind blowing! Cheers!
Hey man love your videos just a video suggestion/request do you possibly think you can do a sorta in depth video on tuning ive been drumming for a couple years now and i cannot for the life of me tune my drums. I bought all new heads i tried watching multiple videos but still cannot get them to sound good. Anyway happy thanksgiving and thanks for putting out these awesome reactions.
Alex Rudinger and Hannes Grossmann are two of my favorites. Alex plays with sheet music up in front of him. Straight sight reads while drumming!
Such a talented drummer! I’ve been watching Alex play for somewhat nearly 10 years now and he’s been nothing but impressive! 🤘🏽
React to Mgła-Exercises in Futility V -Darkside-(Brutal Assault 2019)
Sebastian Lanser playing Obscura's track "Ten Sepiroth"
As amazing as this video is, we should never forget that it's "just" a cover. Dont get me wrong, I've watched this countless times and Alex is incredible, but he didnt write those crazy drum parts, the one who did that was Lyle Cooper.
Im actually surprised this isn’t getting more mention
I'd love to see your reaction to ; Copper Wasp play through | Aric Improta | Night Verses
yes please aric is a beast!
Eloy Casagrande from Sepultura! Perfect blend between force and technique
This sounds like Michael Keene (guitarist/writer) wrote the drum parts... As every idea is so compact and locked into the riff.
I don't think Rudinger is even on this record. He's basically a hired gun.
Lyle Cooper
What you say is most probably true, still incredible though
@@benthewavecame
No slight on Alex's playing.
Dude rips!
Lyle did the drums for planetary duality Alex did the next album autotheism
@@Remneous simon
Anything by David Diepold
Alex is great, but I wish you reacted to Lyle Cooper who actually wrote and recorded these songs.
Jamie saint merat from Ulcerate. In my opinion the best drummer ever.
Lille Gruber.
Time to watch Darkside play his cymbals soon? Mgla - Exercises In Futility V. Drum cam from Brutal Assult 2019.
Aric Improta's new video (Rocket Lost) is a must react.
ANYTHING from David Diepold. Literally anything. He’s an animal.
Gotta react to Wax Simulacra by The Mars Volta it’s their fourth album but their first with Thomas Pridgen as their drummer
Please do Lord Marco of Anomalous/Braindrill/Nuerogenic/Habitual Depravity/SFU. Also Lyle Cooper from Abhorrent
Alex Rudinger's cover of When a Demon Defiles a Witch. Those linear fills are insane lol. Then watch Emmanuelle Caplette do the same thing in her videos and be baffled by both.
Please react to Lars Ulrich next time. He plays in some small band but is one of the best drummers the world has ever seen!
Hey bro please go check out Unprocessed. This band rules and Leon Pfeifer is amazing on the drums. UNPROCESSED
Subbed! You should react to Ray Hearne of Haken. Best prog metal drummer nowadays IMO. Unfortunatly he doesn't have a drum playthrough for their latest album but it's some of the finest drum work I've heard in a while for sure!
*turn on notifications for dominator reaction video*
Hey this has probably been pointed out many times, but in this video Alex is actually covering Lyle Cooper's drumming from the album. Alex did play for The Faceless for a bit but Lyle's drumming is on the album and Alex is doing a flawless execution of it.
Should of played this one bro: The HAARP Machine | Alex Rüdinger - Esoteric Agenda
Ahhhhhhh yeeee Ive been hoping Alex would pop up hes the man!
If you wanna see something different from him his Monuments - I The Creator play through is slower paced with some really spicy rhythmic stuff going down.
Hey, review on of james knoerls drum vids, natuve construct would be my preference but he also does aviations, which may ne easier to find. Rudinger and the feceless absolutely rule, great choice. Hes of my faves.
React to Eloy Casagrande from Sepultura - Here's the video ruclips.net/video/iLczy_fqBF8/видео.html
Good to hear that Alex will be back! You definitely should watch more of his stuff.
Maybe try "Cause For Concern" or "Gravity And Friction" next. They really showcase more of his groove abilities and not only his amazing blast beats.
PLEASE react to Matt McGuire, The Hills - The Weekend 😎👍 Love your vids bro ❤
I may be mistaken, but im amazed you havent reacted to luke holland - tendonitis
You should check out Inferi - a Beckoning Thrall, he does a blindfolded playthrough!
I heard a rumor that 35 people were angry that they'll NEVER be on Alex's level of playing drums.
Rhythm Magazine, stop to think:
Alex Rudinger and Tomas Haake >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jay Weinberg
you Canadian? I just came across this and was wondering. You got that east coast thing going
OCEANS ATE ALASKA - BLOOD BROTHERS. That's the only thing I'll say.
Always knew about The Faceless but never gave them a proper listen, might have to now. This drumming is tight!
YES! You saw one of the drum covers/playthroughs/whatever videos that I love the most! Another one is beast David Diepold playing Nile's "The Inevitable Degradation Of Flesh" which is INSANE because it's George Kollias, the beast king and David plays it flawlessly.
