The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Stone Roses etc. The late 70s/80s was a great time to be a music fan unlike the rubbish we have today.
How dare you call todays music rubbish. Just because it isnt to your taste, doesnt mean its rubbish. Fair enough you want to live in the past. But dont think you know or understand modern taste. I very much agree. the music people popularize today has barely any effort put into it. Kanye West for an example. He uses auto tune 99% of the time and people think he's amazing. The songs he writes is like an 8 year old sitting down and writing a song about sex and drugs. Robert Smith is poetic and he has plenty of musical talent.
