Oh man, song choice at the end there is KILLER. 🤘🤘 Great to see the Monty back up and running - I think this is definitely the most Glucker vehicle associated with Hooniverse, and anyone who keeps these old Mitsubishis alive is okay in my book.
I am happy that you got the Montero back up and running! It definitely deserves to keep on running! You help keep me inspired to rebuild and restore the one we saved...and hope to actually be driving it as well. Dope shirt...imma probably buy one 😎
Pajeros are so affordable in my country, you can find them all day for like 4000 USD. They are more common with 2.5 turbo diesels 4d56. Also FJ40s are not as beloved here like they are in the states, you can find them for like 5k USD running
Oh! I think I saw your truck at Ozzy's a while back -- I had my 2.5 in his shop to prep for an 8k mile trip. Super glad there's another good Monty specialist to step into Chai's shoes after his retirement from C&A's
Damn it looks niiice! I got one '85 myself, two door with the 4G54. I got the same problem you had, it sometimes just stutters and loose power with no particular scenario, and also it has lost a lot of torque. I'll try changing to a better distributor to see what happens.
Yeah! Glad she's back in action! Went through the same thing - we had to source our 6G72 block from Chicago. Recently had to get new heads as well - but running strong for the past six months! Coming up on 300K - Long live the montero!! 1990 LWB A/T @the_blue.bullet
Nothing more expensive than a cheap Montero, am I right?
Glad it’s back.
Love the Montero...I have a 1988 SWB two door... Fun little 4X4.

Oh man I need this shirt! I just picked up a 91 LWB 3.0 5 speed manual in December and I’ve put probably 4k miles on it with no real issues!

Been greatly enjoying your content here and on other channels. Ordered a shirt!
Dude! So glad it’s still going to be on the road and totally getting a shirt! 🤙🏻
I just bought a 1990 with a blown head gasket this weekend- can’t wait to start sinking good $ into it! 😅 Cheers from NorCal!🍻
Wow amazing, I own a Montero and love your ending with the queens. Great build!!

It’s been there for a little bit, but Ozzy himself also has a Gen 1 in this exact color haha
I have the same problem here in aus, ended up buying a jdm import motor and throwing correct pistons and cams into it :)

Hell Yeah!!
LFG I was hoping you would have more recent video of the Monte I have to get one now lol.
Next you talk to someone with a laser cutter to make the grill match the shirt.
How much did it cost? Scared to buy one of these lol
Good on you i am doing a gen 1 pajero v6 6g72 as well
Loam wolf sticker!
👏🏼
Guess what’s back?
swap in a 4D56 as the japanese gods intended
Would be fun but I want to keep it CA smog legal. If I were to go diesel, it would be that Cummins R28 anyway
HEY I SEE THOSE OATS ON THE WINDOWS ;)
Whole lotta oats
Ozzie's is the best
