This year marks the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, one of the most beloved movies of all time. To celebrate the occasion, Telltale Games is releasing Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition!
Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition features textures that take full advantage of current-generation console capabilities, and updated voice work from Biff Tannen's original movie actor, Tom Wilson. This edition also includes in-game access to new, exclusive content: a behind the scenes video featuring interviews with movie trilogy co-writer and producer Bob Gale, original movie cast member Tom Wilson, members of the development team, and AJ LoCascio - the voice of young Marty McFly.
In Back to the Future: The Game, six months after the events of Back to the Future Part III, the DeLorean Time Machine mysteriously returns to Hill Valley - driverless! Now, Marty must go back to 1931 to recruit the help of a reluctant teenage Emmett Brown in order to save 1985's Doc from certain death. Can they repair the rifts of the past without accidentally erasing the future?

And...I'm okay with that. Obviously the two main actors (certainly Fox) can't come back for it, so there's no point there. Thankfully, there's been no talk of a reboot, either, as far as I know. The movies hold the test of time (no pun intended). There's no need for a reboot. I'm happy enough with the game.

+ThePreciseClimber If only the Ghostbusters video game remained the only form of sequel for it, I'm kinda scared about what Sony are gonna do with the franchise now. Thank God that Zemeckis and Gale are saying a BTTF remake or reboot won't be allowed in their lifetime. Looking forward to seeing the musical, though

@@letanyabaucom951 you can play this game on ps3 , xbox 360 , xbox one , ps4 or pc. But its no longer available on stores so you have to have a disc to play it

With Tales of Monkey Island they also re-recorded LeChuck's lines in Chapter 1 with his original voice actor but I think that version of Chapter 1 was only released on PS3.

PS: I totally get it now. My bad. Tom Wilsen didn't want to record the lines because he hated getting asked about Michael J Fox all the time. NOW he reconsidered.
+ThePreciseClimber you can hear Le Chuck's original voice on the PC too,but only if you get the physical release.The digital releases,including on GOG and Steam,have never bothered to update Chapter 1 with Earl Bloen as Le Chuck for some reason.
I hope we can get this updated version of BTTF on the PC too.

its the same as Guardians of The Galaxy, Game Of Thrones, Minecraft Story Mode, Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 Back to the future the game ,And Jurassic Park The Game You cant buy those 6 games because Telltale lost the license to sell them if they do Telltale will get sued for it so thats why you cant buy them on psn store and walmart

They have said they are going to make a 'The Wolf Among Us 2' but they won't have it done till middle 2016 - early 2017 as there working on their other games at the minute.

+Jkarateking Right now I know they are finishing up a mini series (game)for the Walking Dead based on Michonne and also working on Season 3 for The Walking Dead, Season 2 of Game of Thrones they just started, The Wolf Among us we've been waiting years for, and another Borderlands. But Back to the Future is the first Telltale game I ever played and I really hope they can put together a second season once the games they are woking on are complete. The problem with Telltale is they only have a few people working on each game at a time.

Such a shame that it's not coming on Wii U. Especially weird that it's not coming for even PC which the original was developed for!
And also that the original owners of the game don't apparently get the Tom Wilson enhanced version as a free update or small fee DLC update.

I played this on my playstation as my first Telltale game. It's been a long time but I really hope rereleasing the game with some better graphics on the next gen systems will do well enough to FINALLY get another season.

This was one of Telltale's older point-n-click. Not one of their better games, actually. It's still okay for what it's worth, but if made now could have been much better.

+ThePreciseClimber They're all pretty much new stories laden over the same format. But since the story is why we're here, that can be forgiven, where Call of Duty and its ilk aren't.
Video games in general are a "format". And yet there are many, many types. Even in the adventure game genre.
Heck, I think Call of Duty evolved more than Telltale titles since 2012. :P
As far as Adventure games go, no question, Sam & Max is king. Though SBCG4AP stills holds a very special place in my heart and remains as one of Telltale's funniest games.
I consider this the official canon continuation of the story (Yeah I know what Bob Gale said about it)

Cool, now I'm hyped for Season 2 again. With everyone still around and Telltale able to put more resources into the game, it could be another great sequel for BTTF fans. Here's hoping they at least consider it

Despite the game has a few issues, it's very enjoyabe, especially for a _Back to the Future_ fan.
This remaster should fix most of those problems... and be released for PC as well.

Nice, now I get to play this having already enjoyed I think every TellTale game that came after Walking Dead. They need to bring more of their older games to newer consoles (like PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U) with some reworking/improvements as needed.
I am interested in Back to the Future (which is already coming soon), and also Tales from Monkey Island and Jurassic Park (don't care if bad reputation on that one, want to play for myself)
Finally. First it was only available on the Wii, P.C and PS3 back in 2010. I was so sad that it wasn't on xbox (At the time i didn't have a powerful p.c nor did i have a ps3 or wii) But now i can get it. 5 years later! jeez this is heavy!

I have back to the future the game on the PlayStation 3 And pretty much it was so cool playing that game but I didn’t get the anniversary edition when it came out I mean it’s just the same game and it’s a good thing I got the PS3 version

This game was very enjoyable. It's a shame that Fox could only be in the final episode, but the Fox impression was solid.
Heaven forbid you invest in some decent lip-sync.
Also love how you ignored Monkey Island's 25th Anniversary. Would have been great to re-release Tales of Monkey Island for PS4. But hey, we all know what kind of company you guys have become now. No love for the adventure games genre, it's all about the mainstream licences.

but this is different from the original release
This isn't a game in the traditional sense, it's even less like a game in comparison to other tell tale games productions. Its more of a linear film that is full of riddles to progress the film. However, the puzzles serve as a way to bring you closer to the protagonist Marty in a way the films couldn't as you think of what you would do in that situation being Marty Mcfly. At the time of writing they are available via humble bundle and is definitely worth an investment. The whole collection of series 1-5 I finished in 8-10 hours of solid game play (I lost count as I was too enthralled). If you hold any nostalgia for the films you won't be disappointed.
The story line wasn't absolutely perfect but it was pretty good.
******** BIG SPOILERS **********
There are 2 - 3 bad points in a pretty faultless game (not including all the glitches and bugs Tell tale are known for leaving in and never updating) which is why I'm glad there isn't a 4th movie.
1. Deus ex Machina moment - when the car was hit by lightning it duplicated - BECAUSE LIGHTNING TIME TRAVEL SCIENCE!
2. There is one point that made me begin to lose faith and cringe and it was luckily smack bang in the middle and as such was then drowned out with more nostalgia so could be forgiven. When a car hits a billboard with a passenger inside, logically speaking that car should not have existed in order for the car to have traveled into that board due to the creator of that car never having been set on the path to creating it. If you accept what the game forces you to believe which is that it takes a while for the timelines to sync up.. that is all well and good but where's the original Doc? During that ride, Doc disappears but the car does not.
3. The ending, it made me smile with a last minute twist that was pretty predictable from the moment it was introduced (at the end anyway) - and then there needed to be more flashing lights and that's when the ending started to break down for me.
(I suppose you could question how someone who is fading out of existence because they were never set on that path could not only be recalled by others after they faded but while they were fading, have saved someone's life by pushing them out of the way of a car - now that's a paradox)
First Telltale game I ever played, good times. Telltale Games, any updates on The Wolf Among Us? If youre not making a season 2 just tell me so I dont need to wait anymore haha.

I really enjoyed Back to the Future: The Game, but it wasn't Telltale's greatest and can't compare to Uncharted. Plus this will go on sale really fast after the 30th Anniversary hype dies down.

First off, this isn't a new game by Telltale, they're just re-releasing it in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the movies. 2nd, if you've been paying attention (which you clearly haven't) you'd know that Episode 5 of Tales is already finished and GOT Episode 6 is almost done as well. Job Stauffer has already said Tales will come "shortly after" Minecraft and the episode was rated by New Zealand, which means it will probably come out October 20th. GOT is set for shortly after Tales, so probably October 27th. So clearly they are focusing on them, stop overreacting, grow the fuck up, and stop assuming shit you know nothing about.

They also make you tear up a little, which is amazing as usual.
Highly recommend it.
There's just a little thing I hated into it, but I don't wanna mess your experience with it.
So make yourself a favor and play it.
