It's like they have no intention to invest anymore, it's been so long since a negation happened it feels like.

This is definitely the perfect gift to advertise on social media. They would sell so many with ads on Tiktok and Facebook especially if they brought the price down a bit

They know all the numbers. They even know how great their supply of barrels is. They have an eco friendly approach.
This is an excellent couple. How sad that so many people come into the den with little or no idea of what their numbers are or of why they are asking for their asking price.

Pretty nifty idea, we used to buy old whiskey barrels at farm auctions to be used to hold water for our horses, when you got them you could smell the whiskey from the inside which was cool.

They should seek to advertise the whisky company names on the frames to increase turnover. People may like the names on the back or side of the frame. Great gift idea.

They seem like a really sweet couple.
These frames are beautiful. Expensive but a really great gift.
They got 50K of free advertising. And they presented so well that they would have generated a massive amount of business.
And I think Peter was unfair. It would be impossible for them to actually quantify how much business growth the Dragon's investment would achieve. If Peter got on board, business may quadruple. If Jenny invested, they would probably go bust.

The issue wasn't that they couldn't quantify a Dragon's impact, it was that they hadn't even considered it and came prepared with some hypotheticals.

I feel if they were successful the actual whiskey brands could steal their idea. I would make for a great little gift box, a bottle of whiskey, a branded glass and a frame. It would cost them practically nothing to make.

We have maternity leave in America it just sucks. This was by far one of the best pitches I have ever seen and the fact that they still did not get an investment shows that the dragons are just looking for reasons to hate a business.

An Australian company went onto Shark Tank who made furniture out of barrels. The sharks said it was extremely comfortable, although they don't look it.

In my opinion that would go great in the STATES, especially states like Montana, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, or WV. Just my opinion but if someone has a rustic or Country theme then they would do great with it, price point is a little high maybe but might do well.
Considering their revenue and profits in just 1 year, I am a bit surprised they didn't get an investment!

Did they get it wrong thou ? They all almost universally agreed that the couple will be successful, they just didn't see enough profit for it themselves.
The Dragons spent way too much time scrutenizing them when they had the same typical problems that every business startup has and they were making it sound a whole lot worse than it actually was.
You think they're there in order to make you feel good and help small businesses succeed? They're just trying to make profit, you don't get to their capital by doing charity. They're going to go hard on the pitch in order to see if there's any problems the entrepreneur isn't telling them, they want to get a bigger cut for the value they add.
Also most of the "deals" on the show never went through because of some problems that were found later on when the deal and product is being investigated properly. There's a reason why they dig into these companies.
Really awesome product, but just not worthy of a multi millionaire investor. Fair play, I hope they do well I’d love one of those frames.

Not enough people need frames in 2022. Most can't be bothered to print and hang a photo or even go have family photos done. The market is just going to continue to shrink over the coming decades.

Jenny is very wealthy, the issue is, she really isn't a dragon in a sense like the rest of them when they see something good they take punts and invest in things. She has a mindset of a banker so she is gonna think as a banker, she only invests in business that have a profit and she can gain profit from her investment, basically a established business making money whereas other dragons invest in people and there ideas majority of times.
She actually made 8 offers of investment on the show 5 of which went through,the dragon that never offered and only made one investment was Simon Woodroffe from season 1

Why would you buy this? Why would the fact that the oak for the frame came from a cask that was once in a particular distillery matter? Why not just a framed photo in a gift box with a bottle of Laphroaig? Why not just the bottle?
A sweet couple totally into what they do but I agree with the dragons on this one. I wonder how they are doing now.
Ahhhh, sorry, I love recycling wood, avoiding waste and making things but those frames look clunky, heavy and dark to me. They are curved because barrels are curved, but that means they wouldn't hang flat on my walls. If one sold for £80, I could picture it a few years later in a charity shop for £2 when the novelty has worn off. The investors were right and the makers were half right: they could build a business, yes, but fund themselves.

if you sell 14,000 frames between 50 to 80 pounds how do you get 185,000 turnover, that would mean they sell at £13 ish, somethings not right
I really dont like when they alternate what they say in their pitch like one says one sentence and another continues its like having to bounce between people and joining the information each one says, just makes it more confusing.
