It's so entertaining

Hi Sis wam. This is fascinating yo! I'm South African who is damn near obsessed with all things Black, so naturally watching Black Americans get their ancestry tracked, finding out exactly where their people are from just brings me joy. I love the show Finding Your Roots. But it got thinking, it would be dope for me as a South African to get one done as well especially because apparently we Bantu people also come down from the Congo etc. Love that you did this. ENVIOUS! Kickass channel!
Thanks so much!!! I love that you love all things black! ❤️❤️
Your clan name has a lot of history start there for example we Dlamini's trace back Nkosi Dlamini wokuqala who lived in the 15th century he came from embo ( Congo , kenya , Tanzania ) with the tribe called amaSwati today. My clan names speak on that

Thank you so much for this. I've been wondering what the results would be for the Bantu ethnic group. We migrated here and started arriving around AD 400 so that is why those different regions show.

Bantu migration. Most South Africans will have the same results. Countries don't matter that much when it comes to DNA .

@@BenittaDanielle your 100% Bantu- all bantu people originate from kingdom of Kongo before slavery and colonisation( angola, DRC, congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, ivory coast, tanszania, kenya, mozambique part of west africa and sourthen africa countries) which are 12 tribes of biblical hebrew Israel descendent of father abraham.

This makes sense! Bantu people were the greatest travellers in the whole continent! we are found in West Africa (correction for previous comment: not igbos - although its weird that they have names like ‘Chanda’ and ‘Ngozi’ because these are also southern african.. but i hear that a lot of Cameroonians are) Congo most notably because they’re the cradle of the southern bantus since thats where our ancestors last where. And of course, East africans - which is a no brainer lol, they look like us and we share so many words with them). Every South African bantu will have Congo in them undeniably

Not all xhosas have mixed with Khoisans. My Xhosa friends took their DNA and there is no Koi san. But they have Congo, easter and southern bantu
Khoi are the Canaanites.
And Zulu's my sista
And Zulus and southern Africans
@@africaine4889 Tswana people with Khoisan are very few. The Kgalagadi are Khoisan and the was an invasion and enslavement from some of the Tswana group and they were treated inferior. The term mosarwa is a mix of Tswana/Bantu.99 percent of Tswana do not have Khoi san DNA they fall under the niger congo group and migrated along the Zambezi i know the Kgalagadi are not Tswana just submerged because they are in the borders of Botswana and because they did not have a structure the area called Botswana now was cut out by the British when Europe was choosing land to control and the British monarchy had to choose a clan to give it out to but Britain is still very much in control. Botswana does not really have people the majority of the tribes classified as Botswana are found in the northwest as they migrated there first before small pockets of independent clans with a similar dialect migrated there at different times and during colonial conquest, the British had to come with a name to collectively classify those clans. The clans did not at any particular point have a unified leader.Majority of the xhosa have no link with the Khoisan Hence the term Nguni is used.Rember the Khoi Groups were found to have Bauntu or Nguni traces so when history was written at first encounter it was written on assmption not prrof The Khoisan groups are very small and were submerged into some of the Bantu clans in South Africa a lot of Bantu have Khoisan DNA it's not science fiction. Xhosa, Zulu, sotho Tswana. Ndebele Swati.DNA wise are classified under the niger congo group. With Nguni people having arrived in the southeastern coast it is linguistically evident. But I think it is an unnecessary statement because DNA Classifies bantu people under the niger congo group everybody has some component of something. some zulus have the Khoisan DNA, semantic or let me say Persian or arbic or let me say Middle Eastern dna since the did migrate from east Africa and east Africa interacted with Middle Eastern people .
But her case she must remember her tribe is hybrid.I dont know why it was changed to Tsonga in South Africa but during the 18th century the was an invasion of south Mozambique from a zulu warlord one of Shaka's generals who created a new nation and unified the different unrelated bantu non nguni tribes to create the Shangaan nation so according to surname some Shangaan have Zulu/Nguni ancestry but the majority are of Mozambique ancestry the tribes found in the south Tsonga, ndau wich make up the Tsonga /Shangaan people. The different clans were united a Shangaan and the tsonga was one of the clans that became under soshangans control
Nguni people are the zulu, xhosa swazi, ndebele. Those are the same people as the Swazi and Ndebele are just Zulu break-offs but with the other zulu's migrating northward the was intermarriage. Similar to Zimbabwe were a large number of zulu break offs the split under shaka's greatest general to form the Ndebele nation hence people in Zimbabwe understand Zulu ndebele sounds like 95 percent zulu and they still practice the same customs speak the same language with differences in dialect due to migration and the native shona were invaded. But even the term Shona is a collective of different native Zimbwean ethnic groups.DNA Varies individual even within the DNA composition can be different according to personal historical integration. But also climate and geographical location can count. The Southern Bantu or Bantus in General in terms of DNA get classified under the niger congo group.I think that is the more purer native African gene. And most east Africans had integration. So Bantu's in Southern Africa are just subsaharan people. With the Khoisan groupings having been small or living in small scattered individual pockets anybody can find themselves with that composition
Hey bantu sister ✨ cant wait to do my test! im xhosa/khoi and german mixed 😁 i was born in SA but grew up in Germany

I thought the only African groups in South Africa are the hunger gatherers in khoi-khoi and San Bushman then followed by various Bantu speakers. From what I understand is the various Bantu speakers look the same or very similar,so someone mistaken for Nigeria or whatever doesn't make sense.
People have different regional traits even when they are of the same race , distinct phenotypes .In Europe they'll tell you that the Northern Europeans has a high prevalence of blue eyes, they are tall and mostly has blond hair. In India the Southern Indians are comparatively Dark skinned with broader lips and they are called Dravidians. In Africa it's the same thing west African are physically gygantic and they have broader faces , there's also prevalence of flat head . East Africans are also distinct a lot of them has round faces typical of Nilotic features . Southern Africans have small bodies have a high prevalence of being light skinned due to the influence of the Khoisan DNA .
