As someone with a family member who was murdered, these stories are surreal. It just goes to show how random and chaotic these situations can be. Some people get to walk away with a scary story and others just become the story.

In first grade, my friend and I were at the pool, and he got annoyed with me for reasons I still at 30 don't understand. He pushed me under the water in the deep end and didn't let me up until the lifeguard noticed, and physically pulled him off me. By that time, my vision was going black.
He also stole my bike and tried to beat me up when I called him out on it around that time, and I'm not sure why my mom even let me go to his house or to the pool with him.
For reference, I was a short, skinny girl and he was nearly a head taller than me, maybe twice my weight, and hurt a baby bird once for fun while I cried and ran to tell the nearest parent.

When I was 2, my mom was walking me upstairs in our apartment building, and we saw a dead body fall to the ground right in front of us. Been stabbed. It was that fresh.
When I was 14, my dad jumped parole, and a detective came to our 'house' (I was living in a bus at the time), and after knocking on the door, he shoved his gun in my face. Probably a foot away. Demanded to know where my dad was (he didn't go to prison for a violent crime). I told him he was at work, and the guy left. Jackass didn't even identify himself until AFTER shoving the gun in my face.

Had a woman show up at my front door as a teenager, it was clearly the woman shows up to gain trust and then the men come up from behind and rob you or take you ploy. I was asleep when they first came and my little sister opened the door. They stayed outside but at this point my sister was no longer safe. The woman actually called the police herself, (she had claimed that her grandson abandoned her, (I lived in the middle of nowhere so fat chance)) but none of us were harmed thankfully. Idk if she was telling the truth or suddenly had a change of heart but we were spared. Scared the crap out of me and I have since trained my sister to be less trusting, or at least not open the door for strangers. After that our family increased security in the form of a public announcement that their teenage daughters pack heat when home alone. This was no lie, were in fact trained with firearms (Rural US)

When i was like 7 i was staying the night at my dads then girlfriends house witih him and her three kids. It got pretty late and i ended up falling asleep before the two that are older than me. I remember waking up not being able to see or breath because a pillow was being shoved over my face, i was kicking, scratching, screaming, doing everything i could to survive but what is a weak thin 7 year old girl going to do when a bigger stronger 7 year old girl and a 13 year old boy are shoving a pillow over her face? Im pretty sure i passed out because of it, but when i finally got up they didnt acknowledge it, but i know that it happened because my lungs and throat hurt and i had bruises all over my body, they also had a couple of scratches. When i brought it up to my dad, he said that they were just rough housing, but who rough houses with a unsuspecting 7 year old girl who is sleeping? I will forever remember their faces and I randomly remember it and it crushed down on me because if they had succeeded i wouldnt have ever gotten to know my closest friends or ever met my younger siblings.

I had a (now ex) step-father in the British army who had always been verbally or mentally abusive towards me being my mother's firstborn; i hated being around him as i was in split custody between my grandmother on my deceased dad's side and my mother (long story) and without my mother being present due to her own work until one day he snapped and went at me with a knife and slashed my right wrist but missing my veins but I still bled everywhere, my gran quickly called CPS and tended to my wound but the bastard only went to jail for 24 hours due to being a soldier while i have to live with this scar for the rest of my life.
Not too long ago I had heard my ex step-father had left the army and had suffered a serious head injury at his current workplace and I feel absolutely nothing for him except for one thought... "karma comes for us all".

Bipolar disorder is such a difficult mental disorder to live with. It’s not always bad, but it does control your life and emotions. That’s the most extreme manic episode I’ve ever heard of. I have Bipolar 1 disorder and the worst manic episode I’ve ever had was spending most of my savings on things without thinking, I’ve been off bipolar medication for years now as I functioned better without it.
I’m sorry to hear that happened to you op.

The closest thing that I have experienced is when I was young, my sister threw a sharp knife at me. It missed my head, but I freaked out. I scrambled to my feet and ran next door. Not for help, but to climb up their maple tree. I felt safe in the tree.
For years, I would remember the event, but instead of my sister, in my memory, it was my brother who did it. And I didn't know if it really happened, or if it was a bad dream. Going through a therapy session, it was uncovered that it was my sister, but she blamed the hole in the sofa on brother. Him doing it was a false memory.

One evening, I looked out the front window because I heard alot of excited voices, and since I recognized the neighborhood youngsters (late teens, early 20's. About 20 in all)..
Without thinking, as I was barely 13, I opened the door. As I opened the door, a truck pulled up and like a force field they turned from the front door and went to the truck and shot dude one time, killing him... Mom read the obituary 2 days later and bust out crying... Dude birthday was the same day as mine....
Later we found out they was going to shoot whoever answered the door, they were high on acid and had one gun.

Dont know if I was almost murdered...
But when I was 20, New Years Eve working at a cash only restaurant, a guy with a gun in serious need of a fix came in and robbed the store minutes before closing.
    I did what he asked.
Later, I heard rumors that he knew one of my coworkers, and it may have been planned for my shift.
    He was never caught.
It took years to get over being afraid of the dark. I dont trust people, hate fireworks, avoid all New Years celebrations, and as years have turned to decades, Ive become a bit of an agoraphobic.

My brother gave his keys and phone and near the end one of the guys said "hey come on he gave us the stuff!"
He said if they wanted his apartment keys(his brand new wife in it) he would have fought them off. And he was prayinthe whole while.
In the end my sister-in-law tracked the phone and the idiots crashed killing the driver they hit. So they definitely got a harsh sentence.

I have a number of scary encounters.
#1: not murder, but one I’ve talked about before in the comments page. Guy follows me and my friend to his house in a creepy car, and a few months later I realize that this guy was a rapist. Exactly what I wanted after a day of school.
#2: it was a school day and there was this one annoying kid in the hallway. Just as a joke I tap him on the back and walk away. This guy spun around and ran at me. I ran towards the stairs and of course, this one kid sees this and just steps in front of me and walks as slow as he can. The kid behind me grabs my hood, drags me backwards almost causing me to fall down the stairs and starts strangling me on the stairs. Thank the lord I had just started taking martial arts classes a few months before because I was able to throw him back after a few seconds, but I have no idea what would have happened if I hadn’t known what to do.
Edit: the kid who tried to strangle me on the stairs, yeah. He gets suspended from our school AT LEAST 1-2 times per week. That just goes to show how this a$$hole was raised and what he is like as a human being.

Some busser threatened me at work back in 2010, worked as a dishwasher at the time. I grabbed one of the kitchen knives from off the counter, walked upto him and held the blade to my throat and told him to do it. He tells me to get out of his way and I egged him on in response with "or what? Are you going to end me? Well put your money where your mouth is. I'm right here and the knife's at my throat waiting for you to just push it in. No witnesses." The Barney-badass couldn't hack it. It's funny how sometimes people think they have the power to do something, but when the time comes to step up to the plate they buckle under the unexpected confrontation.

@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT Foolish to others, but for me it was the plan. I was seeking my way out, I was mentally, spiritually and emotionally tired having to live to see another day. Do I still feel that way? Yes. But it has gotten to the point where I have survived too many times to count and have been on such a warpath, and even now I am convinced that Death itself refuses to let it happen and Life has a deathgrip on me to stay. Before I am replied with some guitar-circle campfire sing-along that I am meant to live and should enjoy it. I am just now living, no longer chasing after death, trudging through life just so i can see to my inevitable end.
There really is nothing in this world for me to enjoy. I haven't smiled, laughed, cried, feel sadness or felt joy for several years. And when i do smile or laugh, those are just reactions that are programmed and have been working on to rid them for good. My emotions have held me back and at the moment I got rid of them, i felt free.

An we definitely are NOT created equal. Life do suck and that's why everyone has some vise for escapism whether it's drinking, drugs, video games, porn, gambling, tv, internet, needing validation etc etc I really hate how cruel and unfair life is for so many. Not myself, but one of my grandmothers apparently survived the concentration camps. Can't verify much of this, because I got it secondhand from family long after she died. She met Mengele early on into her stay, and he took offense to her glasses. Luckily she was taken so late that they spent more time moving people from place to place to "flee" from the Allied Army while doing forced labour than the intended purpose, but her two cousins were "offered a working position on a boat" that was purposefully sunk. She kept blaming herself for not preventing them from going.
I'm pretty sad I was too young to talk to her properly before she died, I wish I could've been there for her

I have my own story, unfortunately lol - lived in Denver & had someone erratically driving behind me then went around me and fully stopped trying to get me to hit them. They sped off & me not thinking of what could happen followed to get their license plate info. This man was (according to the police report) 6’3 and about 200 lbs. As I pulled up to where the car was parked he came running at my vehicle with a giant T-shaped piece of rebar. Had my car not still been in motion he would’ve hit me with it and essentially crushed my skull. Moral of the story stay as far back/away from crazy drivers. A mistake I’ll never make again. He only got criminal mischief and had to have 2 years mental health probation on top of regular probation. He was definitely aiming for my head.

There have been about 20 violent crimes of any form in the entire city annually for the entire 21st century and hardly any home break ins. People drive very stupidly all over town though so there’s always a lot of horrible crashes.

I don’t know if I was almost killed, but I was convinced I was going to be…
It was the mid 90s, I was a cute 19 year old woman. My best friend and I went with 3 guys we knew to Rosarito Mexico. After a night at the club, we were walking back to our hotel, when one of them mentioned wanting to get tacos. My vegetarian self wasn’t interested, so I said I was going to continue the rest of the short distance to the hotel. One of the guys said he’d join me. So we split into 2 small groups going in 2 different directions. Our hotel was very close to the beach, so on a whim, we decided to walk to the beach for a moment instead. Next thing I know, a bunch of men are coming out of the darkness, surrounding us… separated us… there were just all these flashlights in my eyes from all directions. I couldn’t see anything… but I could feel all these hands… groping me all over. I don’t speak Spanish. And at first I have no idea what’s being said. Then someone speaks to me in English. They tell me they are the police and I have to go with them. They take me to a group of vehicles… not sure how many. I’m still being groped by hands everywhere. I’m put in the front of a pickup truck between 2 of the men and they start driving. The two men continued to grope me and they head out of town to an area that had dilapidated, abandoned buildings. I don’t fight or scream or cry or argue. I’m
Silent. But I’m 100% certain that I’m going to be gang r’ed and killed. I don’t know where my guy friend is. Our other friends have no idea what happened. My family has no idea I left the country and am in Mexico. And no one will ever know exactly what happened to me, but that night I was going to be assaulted by all these men and murdered. I knew it and knew there was nothing I could do to stop it. But some homeless people ran out of some of the abandoned buildings and vehicles just drove around chasing them looking like they were going to run them over… while I got groped. I don’t exactly remember how long it lasted or when I realized they were driving back into town… but they did. And they pulled over in the side of the road and let me out. And my friend was released from the back of one of the trucks where he had apparently been hit in the back of the head with the butt of a rifle, but was otherwise okay. They asked if we had any money and I gave them the $40 I had. Then they drove away. And we walked to the hotel where I finally broke down and cried.

Story:4 Why did you alert the aggressor of your plan? I don't know why people do this in situations that are clearly dangerous. So I'm going to tell you now. If you find yourself in a abusive relationship. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT tell your abusive husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend your plans of escape, revenge, or whatever your next course of action of getting them to stop physically attacking you is. Every time someone has done this, it backfires and the victim of abuse is either traumatized for the rest of their life, survives with a bunch of medical problems, or end up dead.

    • @vidgealz
      @vidgealz 10 месяцев назад

@gsaucegaming6635 You're absolutely right. I'm upset. I'm upset because you're speaking as if you understood everything from my comment when, truth be told, you comprehended absolutely nothing. I even gave you the summary of my comment when I replied to you, and you still accuse me of victim blaming. I mean, how many times has this happened throughout life? Someone falsely accuses someone else of doing something, being something, or saying something because of their own failure of comprehension. So I'm going to try and help you understand for the 3rd time.
Imagine a card game that requires strategy, and you're playing with another person. It's you vs. he/she, and you both have the same goal, which is to win. Your opponent is ruthless in their pursuit of victory and is willing to do anything to win or to at least lure the game into a draw.
You have a specific strategy in place that will ensure you victory so long as your opponent doesn't catch on to your plan before it can be enacted.
Now, why don't you want your opponent to know your strategy?
Because it gives them the opportunity to not only foil your plot to win but also to get their own victory. And if they don't have the cards for victory, then they will most definitely resort to a draw. It's the biggest reason why card games have a rule that forbids you from revealing your hands to your enemy. There's risks of consequences.
Are you with me so far?
Now, let's apply the scenario to Story 4. Except it's not a card game but a physically abusive relationship with you as the victim, your "victory" is escaping while being alive, and the consequences for revealing your plan of escape are a lot more dangerous than simply losing the round. Your enemy, the aggressor, has his same attitude towards victory and draws. His version of winning is him tormenting you throughout the rest of your life. But like all abusive partners, they switch goals from winning to creating a draw the moment they find out about your plan to leave them or to have them under some form of trouble for their actions. That comes in the form of killing you.
Now, what happened in Story 4? She's in a physically abusive relationship. She knows she needs to escape from his control before things take a turn for the worst. So she comes up with this idea of telling his parents about the abuse, but instead of doing that privately between her, his parents, and the police, she told him about it in hopes that he would stop.
He's a lunatic, just like every other abusive partner. He took that as a threat. And just like every other abusive partner, whenever the victim wants to leave them/defy them, he went to the last resort: kill them before they can escape and live to tell the tale. Which is exactly what he attempted to do.
Am I blaming the victim for the perpetrator's actions?
Am I blaming the victim for the perpetrator being abusive throughout the entirety of the relationship?
Am I blaming the victim for the perpetrator's decision to kill her?
The flat answer is NO. He has free will, just like every other person and chose to use that freewill to hurt someone.
Then what am I saying about the victim?
The flat answer: She made herself absolutely *defenseless* when she told him about her plan. She made escaping a lot more difficult, very close to impossible, than it already was. It was bad enough that it was a woman vs a man. Men are naturally stronger and faster than women, so she was already at a disadvantage, but her one form of defense she had, she gave away when she told him about her plan of action. Thank God, that the police were literally up the street when she finally decided to call and that she decided to go outside just in case dude killed her so that there would be witnesses.
The enemy can take away all of your weapons but if you're able to formulate a plan to counter or escape, then you are not yet defenseless. And if you formulate a plan of action, then don't tell your enemy about it, because just like the other weapons, he's going to take your plan away by making sure you never enact it. This girl in Story 4 is blessed to be alive. Most females who tell the abusive spouse about their plan don't live to speak about it.
Do you understand now, or are you still seeing me as a victim blaming individual?

It probably would've been an accident but in 6th grade (middle school) we were in a life skills class and doing a cooking period, i was doing the dishes and one of the kids in my group thought it would be funny to lunge at me with a knife. I dodged to the side out of reflex, but it still almost hit, and it would've gone into the side of my stomach
Then it happened again when my dad thought it would be funny to act like he was going to stab me while we were unloading the dishwasher. I dodged out of the way again, but i still struggle to find what's funny about it.

I Was Almost Unalived By A Stranger Off An App. Usually I Do An Extensive Screening Process Through Vetting But Against My Better Judgement, I Linked Up With Him After Two Weeks Of Talking Out Of Loneliness. Dude Seemed "Off" In Person, Didn't Understand Any Of My Jokes && The Stories He Came Up With Kept Contradicting Themselves. He Drove Erratically Like He Was Accustomed To Wild Police Chases && Kept Asking Me What Was On My Mind Too Frequently As If He Was Trying To Study Me. The Biggest Red Flag Was When He Tried To Lure Me To The Back Of His Building Instead Of Walking Through The Front Lobby As If He Was Tryna Avoid Any Possible Cameras. I Called My Mother In Front Of Him To Tell Her I Was On My Way Home && Forced Him To Take Me Back Home, Which Upsetted Him. What Made The Hairs On My Skin Stand Was When He Said "If You Didn't Have To Go Back Home I Would've Pounced On You". I Faked A Laugh && Said "Yhea, Something Tells Me I Would've Been A Goner!". I'm Pretty Sure My Instincts && My Wit Saved My Life The Evening I Met A Genuine Psychopath/Sociopath. Haven't Tried To Date Or Meet Anyone Since.

I've actually had a few near misses.
    1) when I was 10, I got kidnapped and was missing for a month. Guy said he was going to r*pe and kill me, I beat the shit out of him with a metal pipe and got the fuck out of dodge.
    2) got chased through the woods with two drunk men with pistols. Very, very lucky that I didn't get shot. 14.
    3) my ex girlfriends ex boyfriend broke into her house while I was staying the night. He tried to stab her but I got in the way, and he stabbed me in the hip. Beat the shit out of him with a metal folding chair. That was not fun to explain to the cops. 15.
    4) I was a little tipsy at a party, I was wearing a binder because Im trans and don't like being perceived as female, and this girl comes up and tries to seduce me. I tell her no, I'm not interested, and she walks away. She tells one of her guy friends and two of them walk up to me. One gets behind me and pulls out a knife, they both start yelling and calling me slurs, and the one behind me get ahold of me from behind and tries to slit my throat. I turned my head in time and grab him and throw him into his friend in front of me over my shoulder, push past both of them and book it until I'm a good 5 blocks away. Didn't require stitches, but the emts were surprised because I'm tiny, 5'3, and just yeeted a guy at least 7 inches taller than me. All the farm work paid off in the end. I was kind of upset that it didn't scar though. 17.
