1:00 Navi has a very rough start, where in the first 2 dungeons she'd often interrupt your progress to give you an unskippable tutorial about things as simple as opening doors or Z/L-Targeting. But after that, the only times you're forced to listen to her are when she's warning you about Wallmasters, which is something that's very good to have a warning for. Sure, her infamy mainly stems from how often she'd chime in with a "Hey!" in the overworld, only to tell you something you likely already knew, but you could just ignore her and be on your way. And unlike the very similar Fi, she actually has some semblance of a personality and isn't just "Hello. I am a robot. I will say statistics now. Goodbye."
to be entirely fair, the unskippable tutorials made sense for the time, since 3d action-platformer-puzzle games like zelda didnt exist yet them being unskippable is likely to stop new players from spamming past it, but does get annoying on later playthroughs
Never minded Navi. Maybe it's an age thing. OOT was my first game as a seven-year-old so I was happy about any advice on what the hell to do. It also was reassuring to not go on this adventure alone especially because I was already creeped out when entering the Deku Tree. Navi's whimsical behaviour and noises made it more palatable.
@@pyro380 That's a good point. The Deku Tree is surprisingly creepy if you're playing for the first time, being this big dark area full of spiders and minimalistic music. It is good to know that Link has a friend!
I love the arc of Vinnys persistent interest in Lego coupled with a strong disdain for the concept of openly displaying them, or God forbid having some form of "Lego-Shelf". I can't imagine him having the patience to disassemble them back into the box, so what happens to them? Are there just various Lego sets hidden away randomly in his apartment?
I always just love the comedicness when it works where this random NPC has something important like the Master Sword when they said "here is a bottle of milk" lol.
@@GuyIncognito-j8d Not being smart, not a guy, and I don't know a Tony. Sorry if I didn't get your epic reference. I don't really do movies and TV. I have other hobbies.
I always like putting on the last OoT randomizer compilation vid, so it made me laugh you mentioning about the Lizalfos making that turtle noise as you have in the previous run as well 😂😂😂
My god, that part where he kept trying to bomb the goron under the tunnel was so FUCKING UNBEARABLE. I can’t imagine how tortuous that was for the live viewers.
Does anyone know if you can enable entrance rando but exclude grottos? I wanna try entrance random but there's way too many grotto I can't remember the location of.
Good thing you can enable whatever settings you want. I think entrance rando is more to spice it up for the people who've already done a hundred normal runs.
It's funny that I'm not really interested in a lot of things I used to be interested in! I used to watch everything, now I just watch RUclips and I'm happy! Getting old is weird! 😊
i don't know if it is possible, but it would be interesting to see all room randomized. like you get out of lake hylia and you end up in the spirit temple.
Ship of Harkinian does have an option to silence Navi's sound if you want. And with Fi, I'm replaying Skyward Sword original Wii version and one thing that helps a LOT with Fi is this: Her messages get reset if you save and quit the game and then reload it. If you SAVE STATE and quit and then reload the save state next time, she does NOT repeat so many messages.
1:16:16 Thank god the randomizers remove the more gamey parts of the game. Maybe get rid of king zora's slide cutscene and the biggoron sword quest too. Gotta save those frames!
It's fine, 2d elements not interpolating really blows though so Majora recomp is a much nicer 60fps experience. I think I prefer playing at 30fps so it doesn't look so jarring.

MALON: "My mother composed this song."
Song that teleports you inside an ACTIVE VOLCANO. No wonder she died before the game began!
I love how Vinny managed to click the most unfun settings like decoupled emtrance Random but forgot to click the fun settings like Bombchu drops.

I gave up on the game for a few weeks because I could not figure out blocking. Goddesses bless Navi.
Finally, Vinny is becoming the Zelda speedrunner he was always destined to be.

They're burried next to the dildo in the woods.
Better than crack cocaine, looking forward to Majoras Mask in 5 years
I just finished watching Part 1 and I was wondering when Part 2 would drop. I love watching Zelda randomizers, they're so entertaining.
I always just love the comedicness when it works where this random NPC has something important like the Master Sword when they said "here is a bottle of milk" lol.
This helped get me to do another dk64 randomizer run and I immediately found Diddy in a pile of dirt. I love these.

At least it's not Sm4sh Diddy.

This was a joke on his last randomizer. He really does say repeat jokes ❤ 😅
Legit happy for Vinny when he pulled of those two skips.
25:23 Not gonna lie, I was hoping that chest would be an ice trap, rendering the entire last 10 minutes pointless
Dead End part 2
Man, I love when Vinny does a randomizer of a game he loves. Really punches my grundle, you know?

"No"
okay then lol😂

Two of my favourite Vinny memes in one stream, speen and the mayor meme. Amazing.

At the very least, I can't see James Gunn making a worse Superman movie than Man of Steel.

why did vin spend all that time chasing the goron with a bomb instead of cutting it off
The goron needed to be under the overhang to give an item

Interesting how Vinny's doing this while NintendoCaprisun's also doing a OOT randomizer run
Now that's a name I haven't heard in some time
I never heard a single word about Navi being annoying until like, the past decade. Then it was the hot thing to say
I blame a certain egotistical reptile
I remember it spoken about a lot when the game released 🤷♂️
Funny since there was fire being dealt in this stream too, that aside didn't really mind Navi all that much
you werent listening then
@@RadikAlice the joke was definitely around long before that video
I don't think he ever went to the grotto at the ranch, did he? It's an open grotto, no bombs required.
