Amazing to see a facility like this and to learn how cheap many of the corals actually are at this wholesale stage overseas. There were too many beautiful corals to even call any of them my favorites. I wish I had a larger tank and more tanks to be able to get many of these! Have a safe trip home.
What an amazing opportunity. Those plate corals at @17:40 is wild. Love their saw setup. Proves you don't need fancy.. just the commitment to make it work! All the Goniopora @20:14 I love the garden idea for the Goniopora. I love the Blastomussa varieties.
That amazing orange rhodactis mushroom rock would probably go around $2000+, single heads probably $100+, with online prices anyway. Truly awesome coral there!!!!!!
We use concrete sump as we got hot weather all year long, concrete sump make water temperature chiller. There’s another local place around Serangan island, you will see small coral gems around if he got many stock.
Welcome to Indonesia, where you find corals and fish in affordable prices. You should also make video about fish and comparing the price and you'll get shocked. Many exporters of fish and coral are based in Bali. Once again, welcome and enjoy Indonesia.
I think outside of the Asian market, reefing equipment is just way too overpriced for what it does. A cluster of controllable led lights or an adjustable wavemaker should not cost you $300-$500+ a piece. That's about the cost of a high-end computer cpu or an entire game console. Some people argue that the cost is due to the time and money spent in R&D, but I can guarantee you from experience in that field that it does not take that much time to develop what's basically just a controllable led cluster and an underwater fan. All this overpriced hardware is turning away new reefers. Some chinese black box brands will perform the same or even better than the well-known brands, but you'll never see channels like BRStv or reefbuilders suggest them to someone on a budget looking into joining the hobby, because they want to push their products and not actually make the hobby accessible to more people. Never in my life would I ever pay $400+ for a tiny submersible fan.
Waouh just great thanks to give us this opportunity to see backdoor of our hobby :) Do you know if we can visit as a non professionnal? I made this several years ago in Mauritius with fish importer that was very cool... if one day i go to visit bali i would like to visit too :)
7:27 Long tent Goni!! I have not seen a coral I wanted so bad I would take the 6 hour trip to you're store right now for that! That pink and purple is amazing. Nice vid!
Great video. That pink tip elegance! Love seeing how the pros do things, so simple. Flow, skimmer, live rock, lights and water changes. Of course, it helps having access to unlimited natural seawater.
Great video March! 🍻👊🥰 I’m really loving these Asia videos! 👌 don’t forget to give us some updates on the shop too 😉 give Digz a pat from me and say hi to Tia and Dylan please 🥰 I had my first problem with my reef Casa, I lost the alveopora I was worried about(couldn’t seem to get it happy since it arrived) possibly just coz the tank is still very new, but I also have my zoas and blasto in recovery, may have lost my mushroom too, unfortunately my filter floss clogged up and me topping up with RO water didn’t realise one night and added too much and didn’t realise the level was low because the floss was clogged 😬😔 so the salinity was much lower than it had been for at least 12hours. I also had not enough airflow through the room they were in a few days later than that the ph dropped, on the test strips I been using I noticed the kh was lower than it normally was by one colour also, that’s how I came to the conclusion the fresh air wasn’t coming thru the room and the co2 levels I think set things off, but luckily being a 12g reef Casa it was easy to do a big water change and I have ordered some tropic marin all for reef that I plan to use very sparingly just to increase the ph/kh slightly and hopefully that will mean I won’t be as worried about the ph dropping in the tank, this was all a bit over a week ago, and just yesterday I noticed the ph/kh had started to drop again, so I think I could get away with doing bigger water changes weekly, but I’m hoping with the all for reef I can do smaller water changes every 2 weeks, but this weekend I’m picking up a Hanna tester for alkalinity so when my all for reef arrives early next week I have an Accurate tester so I don’t dose too much, I’m also changing out my small piece of filter floss every 1-2 days to make sure it doesn’t clog again… it’s a much fi we floss than the reef Casa floss, but it’s cheap and I can get this floss from either of the 2 local stores, so trying to make it work for me 👊😉🥰🍻
I think March should plan a meet and greet in Bali, give all his subscribers like 6-12months notice so everyone can organise plane tickets and accomodation and have everyone meet and eat and drink and snorkel etc etc! 👊🥰👌 would be a great time! Especially if Tia can come too
Funny - I’m friends with the Pham guy. Won’t say his first name but I will tell you he makes a KILLING. On profit. He raffles off almost all of these . So ssy he will make 50 spots to purchase at 30 bucks a spot for a torch- 30x50 and then he will do 2 different “mini” rounds that are cheaper to enter for that coral- say he does $10 bucks instead of 30 15 spots- so that’s 10x30 the mini raffle is for a chance to get a “free” spot on the main 50 slot raffle. So if we total it up he makes $1,800 off ONE of those torches just by raffling them off and he raffles off 5-10 pieces a day sometimes . An absolute rip off genius scheme to have the community pay for the coral collectively for one person to win the coral and end result is- he’s super rich from getting paid insane amounts per piece.
You did a great job concealing your excitement, I enjoy the talk because it informs me.

Every time Pat points at a coral it's a rare and unique piece. He's got a great eye!
