It's so awesome to hear an old-timer talk about making it simple and easy the hobby started to drift towards look at me I'm big money on the street I got all kinds of fancy equipment but yet my s*** keeps dying people need to start learning that again
by far my favorite video of the travel series the guy seemed to love his fish and understood everything about us hobbies/lifestyle. I love getting to hear the owners and family members talk about their personal animals and animal keeping experiences.I think it would be awesome if you started maybe taking a fish or fish keeping product from each of these shops and review them in America
Absolutely amazing, Thomas has put his heart and soul into this business, just take some your breath away. Thanks George for taking us along, this was a very special place.
This guy.... I GET THIS GUY. His mentality surrounding the hobby is perfection. You can't just have what you want cheaply. The time and patience is what makes it' special. Quality is lost in this world. He's a king in modern time. 👑
Mad respect, George. I have been following you since the beginning and it's a pleasure watching you stick to your passion. I love that you're able to travel and share these amazing places with all of us. Especially because the majority of us will likely never have an opportunity to go and see these places in person. Having the content available to view at any time is priceless.
I had to come back to watch this vid! His reef tanks and koi fish are incredible. Not to mention this man produces some of the best reef/ coral supplements on the market! I’ve relied on his products for many years! 🤙
Absolutely gorgeous and well kept! I really appreciate how he talks about doing things right and the need to do it slow. There’s a time and place for tech to do its thing but with stuff like this I can definitely see why going at a more natural pace is important. Just look at all his fish and coral, it speaks for itself. He’s doing an amazing job, and you can see the love he’s really put into all of it over the years
He has, through work and dedication, completely surrounded himself with utter beauty, tranquility, and lushness. Congratulations on a well spent life, sir. Thank you very much for sharing your accomplishments with us.
Heck yeah! Eels I have seen jump 3 feet out of the water and fly six feet to the next pond. Arrowanas do it too and other predatory fish but lonely angelfish? that is way cool. reminds me of the old Shadow of the Collosus ad from Nintendo Power or Game Informer way back when. m.ruclips.net/video/QU073vQgeIM/видео.html
That is one very blessed family. Wow! Koi kichi is right! My fam used to have koi until some blue herons and river otters ate them...they definitely were on the smaller side compared to these supreme koi! I loved seeing the corals. I know nothing about coral care, and it was interesting to learn you can cut them down into smaller pieces. I wonder what they look like after they're freshly cut...must look strange at first!
when i was into aquariums. A live reef tank needed these metal halide bulbs. which emitted so much heat and that electric bill was crazy back then. How is it now? I've been wanted to get back into it again.
Thank goodness he’s not , then it would be just like literally every single other RUclipsr on here , there’s only so many cichlids and large predator freshwater fish to keep and it’s all already been filmed before . His choice in just coral and koi is like total opposite ends of the spectrum and he’s mastered them both . He’s probably get bored with “monster fish “ even though he already has 5 ft koi
Corals are amazing. You cant shortcut good husbandry unlike the rest of the hobby. Shops house animals, and not take care of them long term. But if you want to keep a coral to sell, even short term, you have to do it right
3:00 wait you're talling me this guy made an empire selling rocks? 🤣 also 3:40 was a joke bro :) this speaks to a lifetime of care, learning, research and especially maintenance research; but the results speak for themselves
"I say always to my clients they can give more money. When it's too cheap, I take more." [Classic German humour.] "Riiight." [Classic American reaction to German humour.]
If someone has the money, they'll buy it just to say they paid $30K for that fish. I worked in a pet store in a very affluent area on Long Island and people just spent money on stuff, not knowing how to take care of it or paying someone else to, pretty much for bragging rights. You see it in every specialty hobby. It wouldn't be that price if people weren't willing to pay it.
Didn't expect the last pond. LOL Thanks for sharing this with us, George!
Made me chuckle.

he's the zen master of fish keeping
"when I do something I will do it perfect" The most German thing ever said :o
3:41 lol that was a funny joke of Thomas. George had to think carefully. 😂

This man is right on! Old school is a great start as well as continued success 👍🏻

Thomas' aquariums, ponds, and yard are so gorgeous! The fish are beautiful!
Stylophora looks so cool, Thanks for taking us on this journey George

This guy wins for the best fish keeper in the world.
What a great businessman. This was inspirational
Lol I had no idea angel fish paired up like that. Dope tour

I love the big scale koi. Looks prehistoric ❤
Hi George, thanks a lot for this nice video and your work - y are welcome in our company any time !
Thomas has some amazing ponds, especially the 'last pond'

“Oh they come in different colors?”
“Yea, now we like?”

The big scale koi were my favorite…I’ve only seen them in Japanese paintings. All are beautiful. Very impressed by the trees…exquisite.

First time I've heard of scaleless koi, maybe that's why some have always stood out as more beautiful.

9:36 The underlying principle.
He is a very patient man. Humility.

Sick. But I thought patience has always been the most important skill in the hobby. Never changed. Cool guy. Thx for sharing.
6:16 "this is very easy" no sir you have a large pool of funds you can buy 10k$ lights with.... nothing about what you do in your shop is easy xD
Nothing but respect for the german guy. These germans and japanese dont play around. Amazingly clean set up
I'm of course here for the reef goodness, but HOLY MOLY those Koi. 😮😍
WOW! the SPS colony prices are insane! for good nice SPS here in Toronto. you can expect to pay $250-$500 for a half inch DNA sample
Amazing videos! Whatever happened to the Koi you rescued 6 months ago? Did they survive the ick?
I have two "big scale", they are an armor scaled platinum ogon and an armor scaled gin rin chagoi. I love the armor scale look.
Awesome video!

when i was into aquariums. A live reef tank needed these metal halide bulbs. which emitted so much heat and that electric bill was crazy back then. How is it now? I've been wanted to get back into it again.
Hello!!! I am such a fan!!!!❤❤
What youtubers don’t get is that with clickbaiting, most people will dislike a video no matter how good it is☺️
This George just come across as areally nice goy !! Greetings from Denmark :-))
George now you know what "German quality" means! This is the best of the best world wide philosophy of keeping aquarium animals!
i cant watch this stuf!! gonna make me go koi crazy! 😭
Now imagine if he was into monster fish keeping 😮💨🔥
Thank goodness he’s not , then it would be just like literally every single other RUclipsr on here , there’s only so many cichlids and large predator freshwater fish to keep and it’s all already been filmed before . 200 euros is actually 216 dollars.....
€100-It's too cheap-
Wrong choice of words😂😂😂😂
That fish is pretty... COY
I like the last pond the most

George you need to carp fishing and catch a 70lb koi
Another really great vid!
Cheers,
Chris
Teaching kids about climate change and ocean acidification with corals in the classroom.
Awesome kid Mavrakis!!!😅
garden pond kills it
I was hoping for a non-clickbait video… I was wrong…
Awesome fish man. Hello from New Zealand 😄
You have problems with koi in river and lakes there don't you
best vid ever thank you
Coral is the passion. Koi is the MARGIN. This kind of thinking is why Germany always does so well economically. 🤣
this guy must have a lot of money to have and maintain this
That was insane
last scene is the best time of the video.
Yes you do need to build a bigger pond
Very cool to have met you at animalcon.
3:00 wait you're talling me this guy made an empire selling rocks? 🤣 also 3:40 was a joke bro :) this speaks to a lifetime of care, learning, research and especially maintenance research; but the results speak for themselves

nice video tahnk you for the efort.
lol i see no torch corals :P, those things more prone to bacteril infection than any other coral
dude has an oasis in his backyard
The big scales are definitely a deformity. Maybe inbreeding? But the pattern and different shapes are definitely off
👍👍👍
Wonder tour of great place.
Awsome!!! What’s a meter? I know a euro is about $1.10 or a link
This man son could flex whole day how rich his dad is😅
Big scale isn’t that the koi that were bred back to mirror carp?
the last pond thing was so random
Are they any koi shows in the US?
*Fantastic*
Those Koi prices are crazy. I wonder how often he actually sells them at those price points.
